YHM was a story of Ruhi bringing together two individuals, Ishita and Raman. And the show clicked because it had a unique concept.
So, obviously, the fact that the show was taking a leap was something that was difficult to come to terms with. I was biased because for me the essence of the show lay with IshRaRu and some how it didn't set well with me.
But honestly, the leap has been good.
I haven't seen all the episodes, only random episodes post leap to see how the show is going and I chanced upon the episode when Adi meets Ishita. And I was blown over.
Such a good episode. The actor playing the grown up Adi was so good. The way he expressed his pain, his disbelief, his emotions. Oh My God. I just really wished Ishita recognised Adi. You know like she felt that unique connection with Ruhaan (which BTW, why isn't any one understanding that she is a girl?)
Then the episode when Adi rescues Shravan and brings him home. And Raman can see him as a reflection of Ishita. I felt so proud to see how a few months (I don't know the exact timeline) with Ishima did Adi a world of good. He was a replica of the mother he never really got a chance to fully have.
And his excitement at knowing that Ishita would be a part of Mihika's sangeet. I loved it. The one child that this leap did so much good to.
And not just Adi's interaction with Ishita. That scene in which he bumps into Ruhi and they shake hands? I loved that the two siblings felt something.
YHM is not just about IshRa. Don't get me wrong, just watching the recap where Raman meets Ishu is giving me goosebumps. But for me, post leap, YHM is all about the mohabbatein between Ishu and Adi, Adi and Ruhi, Ruhi and Raman, Adi and Raman. Heck, even Adi and his protective side of Shravan is something I've liked. The character of Pihu is one I may grow to like, I haven't given it much thought. But for now, I am going to be biased towards the original kids.
If I ever felt that the dysfunctional relationship between IshRaRu would hurt the show post leap, I'm happy to have been proved wrong. If I loved the IshRu dynamics before, I'm totally going to love the Ishita-Adi relationship now.
P.S. Why did Shravu think Alia is Alia Bhatt?
P.P.S. Any one feel like Adi and Alia are going to be a couple later?
