Raman looked at him and he had to admit, she was right. Aditya was not a very happy child and maybe Raman didn't really do anything to ensure that that changed. Mostly because he didn't know how and every time he tried he just pissed the boy off so each time he felt like he was failing miserably.

Also it is punishment for shouting at me, firing me and not apologize'' She added causing him to turn to Ishita but she was already making her way back to the car.

'Who the hell are you...'' He said talking to himself as he looked at her

'Dad...'' Called Ruhi

'Let us go...'' She added

'Yeah... Of course ...'' Said Raman as he joined them

'Hey Nanny...'' Said Aditya

You know you can call me by my name, it is very short, doesn't even stress to pronounce'' Said Ishita

'No... I prefer to call you Nanny...'' Said Aditya

'Adi... That is not very nice...'' Said Raman

'But... But she calls me grumpy junior...'' Said Aditya causing Ruhi to giggle

'She calls me chirpy and I do not complain...'' Ruhi said and Ishita looked away pretending she wasn't hearing

'Papa... Because you are grumpy senior ...'' Said Ruhi causing Mihir to chuckle murmuring to Ishita

'Excuse me...'' Said Raman looking at Ishita

'We are almost there, see... I am very hungry, I could swear I smell the pizza all the way here...'' Said Ishita desperately trying to change topics

'Oh My God, is that Sachin Tendulkar... ' Said Ishita causing the kids begin looking out the window as they said

'Where... Where is he...'' Said Aditya

'Right there can't you see...'' Said Ishita pointing to nowhere and the poor kids kept on scouring the crowd searching for Sachin

'I can't see him...'' Said Aditya

'Who is Sachin ...'' Said Ruhi

'You do not know who Sachin is? He is only the greatest Indian cricketer ever... He is magic with the bat I swear...'' Said an excited Aditya that even Raman whose attention was taken up by Ishita sort of turned to him surprised at his excitement

'I didn't know you liked cricket...'' Said Raman

'Well... I do... Sometimes I watch with Romi uncle...'' Said Aditya still looking out

'Really, how come I have never been invited...'' Said Raman

'Dad, you hate sports...'' Said Aditya as he turned and looked at Raman

'Well yeah but I like spending time with you...So I can learn'' Raman found himself saying and Aditya sat back as he looked at his dad

'Well next time you will come with us, we are watching it from Uncle Pratik's place...'' He said

'Okay...'' Said Raman smiling and Ishita knowing she had pretty much rode that trade she said

'We are here...''

'Where is he...'' Asked Aditya

'Wasn't him, just saw someone who looked like him...'' Said Ishita

'Oh come on nanny how can you not differentiate between the king and someone else...'' Said Aditya shaking his head

'I don't get what the fuss is...'' Said Ruhi adorably as she began shaking her head

'Am sorry, what ...'' Said Raman chuckling

'Fuss... Ishita says that all the time when Adi gets excited about things she doesn't understand...'' Said Ruhi

'Grumpy is one strange kid, blame me not ...'' Said Ishita as she got out of the car and Raman and the kids followed

Mihir who was now taking the car to the parking lot began shaking his head not believing how she had easy escaped being shouted at. He looked at her as he drove past them and he smiled slowly tipped an imaginary hat at her showing respect causing Ishita to chuckle.

'Let us go in...'' Said Ruhi as she pulled her father's hand

'Okay... Okay hold on...'' Said Raman as he put his phone in his pocket and followed suit

Ishita who knew given this place was not so far away from her apartment figured this was a time to call on Priya. Raman needed time off with his kids and she was not going to be the hovering nanny so she needed to find a way to make sure that while they were their her time was best spent with someone more familiar than the Bhallas. So she took her phone and called

'Hey Priya, are you home...'' She asked

'Yes Why...'' Said Priya

'Are you busy...'' Ishita asked

'Not really... ' Said Priya

'Great, come over to the Pizza place down the street... I am buying you pizza...'' Said Ishita

'If you buying give me five I will be there...'' Said Priya hanging up

Ishita walked back inside making it to table where the rest of them where and Aditya was telling Raman about how he decided to perform

'Ruhi heard me singing in the bathroom and began bugging me at singing there so I just did...'' Said Aditya

'I thought this way he would make some new friends...'' Said Ruhi

'I have friends...'' Said Aditya

'No... I do not count and the music teacher doesn't count either...'' Said Ruhi

'How about...'' Said Aditya Keeping quiet and thinking before he said

'I have friends...''

'You are just sad...'' Said Ruhi

'And you are beginning to sound like nanny...'' Said Aditya causing Ruhi to laugh as she said

'I find her funny... You know... When she is in her room and thinks no one is looking, she talks to herself a lot...''

'Really...'' Said Raman

'You mean like a crazy person...'' Said Aditya

'Well that is what I thought so I asked her why and she said when she is like that, it means she is in the zone...'' Said Ruhi

'Zone for what...'' Said Raman

'Zoning, coding or something I don't remember... ' Said Ruhi shrugging her shoulders as she sipped her soda

'Hey nanny what are you in the zone for...'' Said Aditya as Ishita joined them

'I don't get you...'' She said

'Ruhi says you talk to yourself when you are in the zone... Zone for what ...'' Said Aditya causing Ishita to smile as she said

'You have your talents, I have mine... Besides, you two need to stop peeping in my room all the time...'' Said Ishita

'Why, you think we will see you dancing again...'' Said Aditya chuckling

'Oh I am a good dancer, I am not embarrassed about that...'' Said Ishita flicking her hair

'Yeah but Neelu, My God she is horrible...'' Said Ruhi and Ishita and Aditya broke out laughing causing Raman to chuckle

He could have stayed sitting there out of that conversation and he still would have been content with it. There was something different about his son, he was freer, happier and his daughter, it was like she had got a companion in Ishita. Ishita had this ability to just come down to their level and just be a kid with them without making a total nonsense out of her, well some of the time. It was hard to believe she had only been with them for a month or so

'Yeah Neelu is so bad... Dad have you ever seen her dance...'' Said Aditya as he turned to his father

'Uhhh No...'' Said Raman smiling

'Oh God... You would think she is having the shakes or something...'' Said Aditya as he laughed

'The shakes... what is that...'' Said Raman chuckling

'You know like the ones Sarika Auntie got when we went for that retreat...'' Said Ruhi and Raman threw his head back laughing

'It wasn't the shakes; she got stung by bees... That wasn't funny...'' Said Raman trying to control

'It was so funny... She kept on jumping up and down like she was being electrocuted...'' Said Aditya

'Wait that is your receptionist...'' Said Ishita

'Yeah... And we warned her against disturbing the hive but she became hesitant, kept on saying she was the...'' Said Raman laughing as Aditya completed

'Bee whisperer...'' And he too broke up in fits of laughter

'Poor thing... ' Said Ishita as she chuckled

'She was fine... We got her a couple of shots and got her back home... She was okay...'' Said Raman

'Well I say she deserved it...'' Said Aditya and Raman with an o-shaped expression on her mouth said

'Adi... Why would you say that...''

'Well she is not very nice... And if you call office for dad, she never gets you through, she always says your father is busy, call later...'' Said Aditya clearly showing a disliking for Sarika

'Wait what...'' Said Raman surprised

'Yeah, every time we call your line, for whatever reason she is the one that picks... Why is she always with your phone...'' Said Ruhi innocently

'She is not... She just forwards my calls to hers...'' Said Raman as if making a realization

'Why... Don't you have an assistant or something for that...'' Said Ishita

'I do., she handles my business calls...'' Said Raman

'And Sarika handles personal...'' Said Ishita

'No... She shouldn't though...'' Said Raman and Ishita could see that this was genuinely news for him

'Pizza is here...'' She said as they called their name

'Finally, I am hungry...'' Said Ruhi as she sat up

'Uhhh ahhh... Wash your hands first...'' Said Ishita and Aditya took Ruhi's hand walking to the sink

'Ishu...'' Someone called her causing Raman to look behind and Ishita to look up

'Oh hey...'' Said Ishita as Priya joined her

'Okay that driver, I just saw him up close and I have to say he is cute...'' Said Priya who hadn't seen Raman

As soon as Priya made it to the table they were at, Raman got up out of respect and said

'Hello...''

'Oh... Hello...'' Said Priya looking at Raman

'This is my boss... Boss this is Priya, my roommate...'' Said Ishita

'Oh very nice to meet you...'' Said Raman

'Oh the pleasure is all, mine...'' Said Priya looking at Raman from head to toe

''I gotta go help them...'' Said Raman finding an excuse as he walked away from there

'Oh My God...'' Mouthed Priya looking at Ishita

'Oh shut it...'' Said Ishita chuckling

'Did you say something...'' Rama turned around saying

'Uhhh No...'' Said Ishita and Raman continued on his way

'Ishu... That is man is not hot, he is like blazing gorgeous...'' Said Priya

'Okay, are you tipsy...'' Said Ishita

'Recovering Addict, we don't drink... Ishu ...'' Said Priya staring at Raman

'Okay go... I will meet you outside, matter of fact I will find you by the car with Mihir... Leave now...'' Said Ishita as Raman made it back with the kids

CHAPTER FOURTEEN

'I want to say goodbye to our gorgeous boss...'' Said Priya

'He is my boss not yours, leave...'' Said Ishita

'Ohh hooo... Being territorial now...'' Said Priya teasingly as she left causing Ishita to sigh with relief

'Where is your friend going? I bought more pizza for everyone...'' Said Raman

'Oh great, I will take that...'' Said Ishita taking one of the boxes

'Where are you going'' Said Ruhi

'I am going to talk to my friend also take for Mihir a piece as well... ' Said Ishita

'Couldn't your friend talk here... I don't bite...'' Said Raman

'Oh can I say you now enjoy my company...'' Said Ishita

'What... No... I was just being nice...'' Said Raman causing Ishita to smile as she said

'I was just kidding...'' And she chuckled

'Whatever...'' Said Raman

'Besides, I do not want to be the hovering nanny... This is family day... Am guessing they don't happen a lot so spend time together and talk...'' Said Ishita as she looked at Ruhi who was clearly enjoying what she was eating

'Maybe grumpy junior here can tell you all about his girlfriend...'' Said Ishita

'What... I don't... Nanny ...'' Said Aditya nervously and agitated at the same time that Ishita laughed and walked away leaving them alone

'Adi... You have a girlfriend...I thought Ishita just jokes about that'' Said Ruhi shocked

'You know what that is...'' Said Raman looking at his 8 year old daughter

'Yeah... Everyone does dad...'' Said Ruhi as she sipped her soda

'Why do you know that? You're too young to know that...'' Said Raman

'Uuffo dad...It is simple, even I have a girlfriend...'' Said Ruhi shaking her head causing Raman to chuckle as he picked a piece and pizza and asked his daughter

'Oh yeah, and who might that be...''

'Ishita... She is a girl and she is my friend therefore she is my girlfriend... She can be your girlfriend too if you want...'' Said Ruhi

'Oh no, I think I am good thank you...'' Said Raman as he turned to his son saying

'So... Aditya, tell me... I want to know everything...''

'Everything about what...'' He said as he enjoyed his pizza

'Anything... I don't remember the last time we all sat like this just enjoying each other's company...'' Said Raman

'Well you are always working that is why...'' Said Ruhi

'I am going to change that now...'' Said Raman

'You said that last year on my birthday dad and didn't see it through, do not make promises you can't keep...'' Said Aditya causing Raman to turn and look at him

'Adi...'' He said softly

'I need a soda can I go get one...'' Aditya said clearly avoiding the conversation

'Okay...'' Said Raman and Aditya taking some money and he got up walking to the counter

'It is okay dad, he just misses you sometimes...'' Said Ruhi as she wiped her mouth with a napkin

'Yeah...'' Said Raman disheartened

'Even I miss you sometimes... But Romi Uncle always makes me feel better...'' Said Ruhi and Raman looked at his daughter and felt disappointed in himself

'Ishu is always telling Aditya, tell people what you feel and not to just walk away but he doesn't listen. That is why she calls me chirpy, she sways I talk too much, and in a way it is a good thing...'' Said Ruhi giggling before she added

'She says I am just like her...''

'Oh I hope not...'' Said Raman carrying Ruhi as he placed her on his lap

'And I do miss you as well sometimes, in fact all the time... I will do better... I promise you...'' He added

'I know you try... So it is okay...'' Said Ruhi before she kissed his check saying

'I love you dad...''

'I love you too honey, never forget that...'' He said

'Papa... Can we pack this and get it back for Neelu...'' Said Aditya as he walked back

'Uhhh we can get her, her own instead of leftovers...'' Said Raman

'Oh... Alright ...'' Said Aditya as he sat down making Raman's to heart swell, because all he could see in that moment was Shagun. He smiled a bit thanking god that he had decided to take the day off

He sat there listening to his daughter yap away while his son as usual just argued with her and it was for like for the first time the shadows of the last 6 years didn't matter. They enjoyed each other's company and chatted away like as though they had been doing this all their lives that he in that moment it didn't matter whatever was pending, or whatever meeting was scheduled, this was what was important

'Papa... Papa ...'' Aditya called him tapping his hand

'You're doing that thing again...'' Her added

'What...'' Raman said

'Where you're in a room but not actually there...'' Said Aditya

'Oh sorry... I was just taking this all in...This was.'' He said and Aditya completed

'A perfect day... Well almost...''

'Why almost...'' Said Ruhi

'I didn't win... I should have won that stupid talent show'' He said

'Oh, I thought it didn't bother you...'' Said Raman smiling

'It didn't... I just wanted to show Nitya that I was good...'' Said Aditya

'Who is Nitya...'' Said Raman

'A girl in my class... She likes making fun of me... So I did all that to show her I wasn't scared of school or anything...'' Said Aditya

'Aditya is girlfriend...'' Said Ruhi

'She is not my girlfriend...'' Said Aditya defensively

'Hold on, why would she think that? You play piano, how can anyone think you're scared...Isn't that like a sick thing...'' Said Raman causing Ruhi to giggle

'What was that...Who is sick'' Said Ruhi

'No one, I mean you know a cool thing...'' Said Raman smiling causing Ruhi and Aditya to look at him with blank expression before they began laughing

'Wow dad you're really old... No one say sick anymore unless someone is actually sick... Seriously'' Said Aditya shaking his head and Raman chuckling said

'How old do you think I am...''

'I don't know... 50 maybe...'' Said Aditya carelessly and Raman with a loud chuckle said

'I am not 50 years old... Oh My God...''

'Well you behave like our Principal...All you both do is work that is all old people do, work and sleep... You know like Mr. Umar... ' Said Ruhi

'Who is Mr. Umar...'' Said Raman

'My Principal, see you're even forgetful and old...'' Said Ruhi

'Okay, I think that pizza is getting to your head, let us go...'' Said Raman shaking his head and Ruhi and Aditya began laughing

They made it outside and they could see Mihir was seated on the bonnet of the car while Ishita and her friend Priya were staring at something on a laptop just beside Mihir. Ishita put her hands on te keyboard tapping and before they knew it, Ishita was screaming jumping up and down clearing jubilating about something.

Priya began laughing as she too began jumping up and down joining in with Ishita

'Ohh victory dance...'' Said Ishita

They both put threw their hands in the air and began shaking their hips side to side a couple of times before bumping turning the other side and doing it again. Ruhi who was always laughing about something began to giggle given how funny to be honest both of them were looking but Aditya and Raman just stayed there standing in one place not saying anything but just staring at Ishita

'Papa...'' Said Aditya

'Uhhh yeah...'' Said Raman

'She reminds me of mom...'' said Aditya causing Raman to look at him surprised

'What...'' He said and Aditya turned to him realizing what he had said

'Sorry... I didn't mean... Sorry...'' Said Aditya walking away and joining Ruhi who was already on the way

'Ishita what are we celebrating'' Said Ruhi as she ran to Ishita

'I just crashed a monster today... ' said Ishita as she picked Ruhi up and began swirling her around

'Stop... She will throw up she ate too much...'' Said Raman who was not so far behind

'Oh sorry Sir...'' Said Priya tapping Ishita

'He thought he was smarter than me, Son of a...'' Said Ishita holding her tongue and turning when she heard Raman's voice

'Language...'' he said

'Son of a chicken...'' Said Ishita back tracking

'Wait what...'' Said Priya looking at Ishita

'Hahahaha... You mean a chicken was the monster...'' Said Ruhi

'No his chicken's son... No more questions...'' Said Ishita turning to Aditya as she said

'How was your day...''

'Fine... ' Said Aditya

'Although you seem to be having more fun than him...'' Said Raman still a bit confused with her antics

'Sorry boss... Big job, big pay, too damn long to be completed ...'' Said Ishita

'Shall we leave...'' Said Raman ignoring her because she wasn't making sense

'Yeah I gotta go anyway... So I will see you later...'' Said Priya

'We can give you a lift...'' Said Raman

'Raman... Call me Raman...'' He said and Ishita turned looking at him her eyes almost popping out

'Okay, Raman... I am going on the other part of town but thank you...''Said Priya before she turned to Ishita and said

'Normally I would say don't let gorgeousness distract you, stay focused...But in these circumstances, I say let loose, have fun... Doesn't hurt'' causing Ishita to playfully slap her as she said

'Leave now...'' and Priya laughed saying

'Nice to meet you all... ' And with that she walked away with the laptop she came within her bag

'What was that all about...'' Asked Mihir

'Nothing, She was just being inappropriate...'' Said Ishita

'Shall we leave...'' Said Raman

'Of course...'' Said Ishita smiling as she and Mihir got into the car
