I believe that CVs made a royal mess of IshRa in 2015! They just completely botched up!

What could they have done differently?

No...Confession stretched beyond limits. So was consummation... Confession...airport confession was perfect... Consummation by their 1st wedding anniversary ... Would've been perfect ... Why union in feb ... Coz that would've been a different phase.. And couldve explored beautifully ... Imo
Their mohobbatein was very inconsistent... It was like a burst and taper

Well apart from the illogical delay in confession and consummation, i feel IshRa relationship has got the perfect relationship development graph in the history of Indian television. I repeat this is what I feel. Even if they had a marriage of convinienece i dont remember even one time when either of them have denied the fact that they were husband and wife. They both have had a sense of responsibility of that of a husband and wife towards each other from the very start. They wouldn't see eye to eye, would fight like cats and dogs but when it came to protecting their better halves against the world they would do just that. Remember Raman standing up for Ishita against Subbu's mom in the very initial stage of their marriage? Then the riots scene? And for Ishita the Amma accident track which was also sorta Ishita insecurity track and the spa scene even the license track. Then there was kinda friendship development stage for them. The picnic track, Their first ever Rain dance. Here Ishita started falling for Raman. Then came the Mani track when he realised he was in love. It was his insecurity track. And after all this they came out stronger than ever before. Then began the downfall as we all know. The sautan saga and all. But their love story development was PERFECT!

I feel even their confession and consummation was good. Apart from the delay, the situations leading to the said events, The simplicity of both confession and consummation just blew me over. It is a type of C&C which i will remember for a long long time.

Unke confession & consummation tak realistic tha.Doosre serials mein ek episode me dekha aur lade aur before episode 25 pyaar bhi hogaya mu bhi hogaya aur juda bhi hogaya.Jabse saint Shagun aayi hai tabse downfall hogaya ek dusre se big things chupana hurt karna etc.Lekin in sab ke bavajoot they love each other a lot. That's why they are not separated till now.Aap logon ne MATH dekhi hai,kya jodi he Ranvir aur Ishani.5 episode pyar 6 months separation. They don't understand each other & always mu.Ishaani ke sacrifice ka reasons ek dum bakwas he.Thank God meine 1 episode bhi us show ka nahi dekha. Thanks to SBS.So our ISHRA is far far better

To put it simply it could have been better.

But then again for that there has to be creative liberty and imagination involved in the process, ages ago before this stupid number games began channel heads werent chasing a position on a chart, but trying to tell amazing, meaningful stories with characters that people could identify with.

YHM without a doubt succeeded initially in that department, you could symphatize with Ishita, Raman and Ruhi, hell even a Shagun was REAL, People fell in love with them flaws and all, and couldnt help but root for the trio of Ruhi, Ishita and Raman, And as long as the show was in the original slot for almost a year, the characters were true to sketch and so was their development, the change in the slot affected everything and suddenly slice of life YHM became melodramatic, close to life characters became OTT and so the show descended into madness of a kind.

As for the delay in confession and consummation goes, frankly thats the stupid trend of every goddamn channel and show currently on TV - apparently unless and until the hero and heroine dont consummate people love them and then there' no story and people dont watch it anymore and they cannot under any circumstances consummate before a year at least bordering on the second - so anything and everything under the sun is devised to keep them apart - right from misunderstandings and hatred to space issues, since the hero heroine live in a small home surrounded by family and want to apparently loud for their first time and with people around thats a little issue 😳 to even lame fictitious diseases, I am not kidding about the disease part really. An Ekta show on air on Colors right now has the leads seperating and reuniting for N number of times and guess what, despite their numerous marriages and divorces, they are yet to lose their cherries, to each other or anyone else for that matter.

Shows these days are as stupid and getting dumber, in the day and age of ONS and live in relationships why the hell would anyone wait for over two years to sleep with their legally wedded spouse who they are attracted to and could be in love with, is beyond me.

Word to all that you said! I actually wish I was a creative writer. Trust me, TV would be a different entity. I shall fulfil that 'cherished' dream one day!

Honestly, I wouldnt want that

Because at the end of the day even a creative writer has NO creative liberty anymore these days, the channel is the one who dictates and rules every aspect of a show and their prime concern isnt coherence or relevancy to life when airing content - all they care about is numbers and charts and if being loud and melodramatic does the job then so be it - the louder and crazier the better is the mantra - which is sadly true as evident by the chart where the number one shows are batshit crazy things like SNS and KKB, with leads who cant act and dumb as it gets plot, being rinsed and repeated god knows for what time.

Logical shows struggle to find a space amidst the clutterfest of such loonies and they are left with two choices - either to shut shop or as join the herd, as they say if you cant beat them join them.

Channels have to WANT TO become progressive and sane - they need to stop choking creativity and allow breathing space for something truly amazing to happen but how can they do that when they are sucking the life out of the same?

Shows from weeklies went to become biweeklies to dailies, which were still 4 days a week initially which later went to 5, then 6 and now all the 7 days of the week. How can any writer not write shit when they literally are given no time to think?

Just imagine writing for a show that airs almost 365 days a year, and this may include mahaepisodes and crossovers and god knows what other crap. How can sanity prevail when there's not even the space to breathe?

We see the hard work of the actors and pity their exhaustion for entertaining us, the same applies to the writers and also, earlier, there was one writer doing one show at a time thing, now one writer is penning X number of shows simultaneously, almost all of which air at least 5 days a week, how is that person expected to write anything logical beyond a point?

Sonali Jaffar is writing at least 3-4 Balaji shows, she also takes up non Balaji shows if offered, like she took up TSM recently and apart from that she is setting up a production house of her own and writing for shows she will produce, how can there be QUALITY in that amount of quantity?

Writers should be made exclusive, paid well and given credit for this to change and shows should be not aired like crazy for all the seven nights a week and stretched forever. If a seasonal format cannot be implemented in India, then the shows ought to end within a stipulated amount of time and the number of episodes per week shouldnt be more than 2 at the most.
