The reason is that if its split personality then how would Ishita know about Ashok's mushroom allergy and how would she behave exactly like Shagun..Does she even know Shagun doesn't know how to tie shoe laces..And how would she remember Shagun's bday when Raman himself didn't know about it..Raman recollected that Ishita's weird behaviour is connected with Shagun and therefore, came to a conclusion that its Shagun's bday not that he knew it .How would Ishita say the same dialogues of Shagun that too those dialogues which Shagun used only in front of Raman.With today's epi its clear Its aatmaa of Shagun in Ishita.Amma was the first one who pointed out about Shagun when Toshiji told Ishita itni mehengi sari nai kharid sakti then Mrs iyer told 'par Shagun toh aisa kar sakti hai naa'..
