Chapter 2
And the whole afternoon went smoothly with the Bhalla and Iyer families spending time with each other that they have missed for the past few hours. All were very happy except for Ishita. She was waiting for Raman to come back home. She kept on staring at the main door and Mrs Bhalla noticed that.
Mrs Bhalla - "Kya hua Ishita Puttar? Who are u waiting for?"
Ishita - "Arre... Koi bhi nahi hai AuntyJi!"
Then Mrs Bhalla understood that Ishita was waiting for Raman.
Mrs Bhalla - "Ishita, why don't u go and take a look at Raman's room? Mera matlab, take a look at the house?"
Ishita - "Sure AuntyJi!" ( She was so happy that finally she got a chance to check out Raman's room)
After she was gone, Mrs Bhalla wanted to talk to Mr & Mrs Iyer abt something very important...
Mrs Bhalla - "Madhavi, if u don't mind, what do u think abt Ishita's marriage? I mean would mind to make her my bahu?"
Mr & Mrs Iyer were shocked and asked Mrs Bhalla if she was in her scenes.
Mrs Bhalla - "When I first saw Ishita, I already liked her. She's respects elders alot. And it's very hard to find a girl like her in this generation. I want her to marry Raman. Please Madhavi, if she marries Raman I will be at least happy that I gave my Raman to a responsible and loving wife. I can see clearly that Ishita likes Raman. It's my request to the 2 of u."
Mr Iyer - "But she's too young..."
Mrs Bhalla - "I know. She can study as much as she wants. We will get them married once they are settled in their lives. I just need a promise from you both that u will make Ishita Raman's wife."
Mr & Mrs Iyer were indeed happy with Mrs Bhalla's decision and they promised her. Mr Bhalla was also very happy for IshRa. Now the bond between the Bhalla & Iyer family took one step ahead. Vandita, who was quietly listening to all this, stood up and excused herself from the Bhallas and Iyers. She was very happy for her sister. She immediately went to look for Ishita in the house and in the end found her in Raman's room. Ishita was walking around his room and looking at Raman's baby photos which were hanging the walls. Vandita went to her and hugged her tight!
Vandita - "Ishu, I am so happy for u! Ur getting married soon!"
Ishita (shocked) - "What? I don't want to get married so soon! I need to achieve my dreams first!"
Then Vandita told Ishita everything. Ishita couldn't believe her ears. She fell in love with Raman the moment she saw him and now she's going to get married to him. She started to jump around and hugged Vandita!
Ishita - "Akka, I can't believe it. U won't know how happy I am now!! Everything happened so fast! I am so happy Akka!"
They didn't realise that a pair of eyes was watching them. Ishita was dancing around in the room and suddenly she tripped over the bed and was abt to fall. She closed her eyes so tightly only to find herself in a pair of strong arms. She slowly opened her eyes trying to sense who was holding her. Vandita left the place to leave the 2 of them to have their moment at least this time.
Ishita's face turned so red after knowing that Raman was holding her. Their eyes locked again. Raman broke their eyelock and...
Raman - "Hey, watch where u are going!"
Ishita - "I am really sorry."
She got up from his arms and started to leave the room. Before she could leave, he held her hand and...
Raman - "Where are you going? R u going to break OUR moment again? I can't afford to break it again!"
Ishita couldn't believe what she was hearing! She blushed hard and turned to face Raman. He was gazing at her so intensely.
Raman (smirking) - "Mein sunata ki hum dono shaadi karne wali hai? Is that true?"
Ishita lowered her eyes and smiled at the floor. She realised Raman started to move towards her slowly. Her body stiffened and she began to sweat profusely. Within seconds, Raman was so close to her. He made her look at him and they were lost in each other's eyes again. Raman again broke their eyelock and he went down on his knees holding Ishita's hand...
Raman - "Ms Ishita Iyer, I fell in love with u the moment I saw you. Ur rosy thin lips are making me go crazy! I want to spent the rest of my life with you! I want to cherish each moment spent with you! I am deeply, madly, sincerely, in love with you! I love you, Ishita! Will you become Mrs Ishita Raman Bhalla? Will you marry me?"
Ishita's eyes were filled with happy tears! She didn't expect her Raman to propose to her this fast! Her tongue was tied. Finally, after she gathered some courage, she spoke up...
Ishita - "Ye... Yes, I...will, Mr Raman Kumar Bhalla!"
Raman got up and put his hands on Ishita's shoulders
Raman - "So Ishita don't u want ur first gift from your husband? I mean ur would-be husband?"
Ishita (confused) - "What gift?"
Raman moved closer to her and whispered in her ears, "I love you!". Then he kissed her eyes one by one saying "I love you". He kissed her nose and said "I love you!" again. Ishita was enjoying his sweet torture. Then he kissed both her cheeks and said "I love you". Now he was proceeding towards her rosy lips... Their lips were inches apart. When he was reaching her lips, Ishita put her hand between both their lips making him kiss the palm of her hand. He stopped and looked at her confusingly.
Ishita - "Ab nahi Raman... Shaadi Ki bhad!" she said blushing and left his room making him ruffle his hair as he blushed thinking of her words.
Soon the whole Bhalla family and the Iyer family were having dinner together. Raman was sitting beside Ishita while Ishita kept on blushing. This was noticed by everyone. Mrs Bhalla revealed the news to Raman & Ishita abt their marriage in four years time. She didn't know that IshRa were already aware abt it. She asked them if they were OK with their marriage.
Raman - "Of course Maa. Who would not agree to marry such an angel like Ishita?"
He realised what he had just said and smacked his head with his hand due to embarrassment. Ishita blushed hard. All the family members started to laugh at what what Raman had just said. Then Mrs Bhalla asked for Ishita permission.
Ishita - "As long as my Amma & Appa are OK with this alliance, I am ready for this marriage."
Mrs Bhalla was impressed by what Ishita said. She thought that she was very lucky to have Ishita as her bahu. During the dinner IshRa were stealing glances at each other. Every body noticed that and giggled to themselves. As everyone started to leave the dinning table and went to the living room, Raman held on to Ishita's free hand which shocked her! After everyone were gone, only IshRa were left in the dinning area.
Raman - "What did you just told my mother? If ur parents are OK with this marriage, ur also ready? Don't u love me? If ur parents didn't agree for this marriage u wouldn't have married me?" he asked her sternly.
Ishita - "Mujhe pata ki Amma aur Appa is shaadi kiliye haan keh diya. Thats why I said like that? So that I can impress ur mom! How was my acting Raavan Kumar? U should also learn all this from me so that u can impress my Amma Appa also." she said giggling.
Raman - "Ur such a Nautanki!"
And he started to tickle her making her laugh. He was happy seeing her happiness. This time their moment was disturbed by Vandita.
Vandita - "Excuse me, sorry guys. I have no intention to disturb the 2 of u but Mr Bhalla is calling the two u." she said giggling.
IshRa were embarrassed and they said they are coming in a moment. IshRa joined the other family members who were waiting for them. Finally Mr Bhalla spoke up...
Mr Bhalla - "We have decided that the both of u will get engaged this week. And u both can get married after ur settled in ur lives. Do u both have any violent objection for this?"
IshRa together - "Of course, No!"
Again everyone started to laugh and soon IshRa joined them. Vandita came to Ishita and whispered in her ears...
Vandita - "Look! Someone is desperate to get married!"
Ishita hit Vandita's arm playfully and they both chuckled to themselves. IshRa took the blessings of the elders.
All the Elders - "Maybe the both of you live happily together forever and even for ur all births!" they blessed them.
IshRa were very happy. They couldn't wait for their engagement. They looked at each other lovingly again lost in each other!
