I wanted to write this last night too but I was feeling sleepy and lazy so I kinda stopped where I did, so am gonna say this now...also if I had added this bit last night my already long comment would have become longer 😆😆😆
Like I said, I was thinking of posting this last night too...since I couldnt help myself even as I was preparing to hit the sack, apparently my mind has a problem - when fascinated by something, an idea or a line of thought it starts running with it and doesnt know where to stop 😳 😆😆
So after I made that post, it occurred to me what a drastical change occurred within seconds of the sisters learning that Ishita and Raman did it, yeah they danced and jumped with joy, Vandu even shrieked to celebrate the arrival of her sister into womanhood, but she also did something else - something which until this point of time was not given much thought if you ask me except by Simi occassionally but not otherwise. Vandu asked Ishu to stay put in the room for the rest of the day and night with Raman to celebrate their love, enjoy this new bliss that they have found - stating she will look after the kids, Ishu need not worry about them.
Moments ago, this woman was worried for her baby sis and her hubby being away as she even woke up the youngest one and when the irritated, grumpy, sleepy Mihika declared that her Akka and Jiju werent kids who were lost but adults who could take care of each other, Vandu was still frantic and worried, because it didnt strike her that as a couple Ishu and Raman would be indulging in some much needed loving, her focus was on the tension between the duo and the state of mind of her sis as she left home. Now these sisters had prepped up Ishita to dazzle Raman, seduce him in a way but still it was not considered a possibility by them that it would really happen, that the couple would crossover and get together even with all the preps and pep talk that the sisters indulged in.
What does it really say about how this couple was perceived earlier and later, upon learning the change of their status quo? The same sister who was biting her nails over their absence, now wanted to ensure they had some privacy and remain stressfree as she assured her sis, she would take care of the kids, Vandu for all her worrying and over-protectiveness about Ishita, gave her sister the space she thought she deserved and needed now. She backed off and let go off the worry she had for her sister in her heart, as she now was happy and reassured of her sister' happiness due to her marriage finally becoming literal, in a way Vandu stopped taking Ishita under her wings, as she knew her sister was now a woman, and she didnt need any protection or shelter from anyone else - she had what she deserved and needed the most - her husband by her side, in every way whatsoever.
The mothers too got sentimental and thought of a grandchild almost immediately, now I know that they should have been more sensitive towards Ishita' condition and even Ishita was being shy and embarrassed about having them in the know-how of things, but the matriarchs could do one thing that perhaps wouldnt have happened otherwise - ensure the couple is not bothered by the rest of the family over the most trivial of issues as well as maintain a distance themselves from the couple and especially their room, even if all for the sake of a grandchild they wish to have...since earlier even the mothers didnt understand that the couple has to be left alone sometimes.
I remembered two incidents which I forgot penning down last night that made me think of this disclosure finally ensuring some privacy to IshRa about the matters of their bedroom life and also in their bedroom.
The first was when Romi barged in the night Adi took that medicine and got sick, yeah it was an emergency that needed immediate attention and it was not wrong to approach the couple then, but the way it happened was not right. As I am sure we all remember, Ishita and Raman were having a moment, about to share their first kiss when Romi just dropped by in their room unannouned and without so much as a knock to inform them of his arrival or ensure that he is not disturbing something there. Now, if he had been of the same age group as say Ruhi and Shravu, this could have been overlooked but Romi was embarrassed to catch his bro and SIL in that room as he realised he had obviously walked in on them in a very private and intimate moment...but it had not struck him that they could be engaged in one as he came in the room, granted he could have been more worried about Adi but still a couple in a room with the door shut shouldnt be just intruded upon.
The second and this one again I am sure will be remembered, the holi day, Ruhi plays the messenger/obstruction just as the couple is in a moment that could have ended up with them finally closing the distance between them. But what happens instead is Ruhi arrives with the message, that Ishita and Raman should come and dance as its about to start and everyone is calling them. Now while Ruhi was the one who played the messenger, the message was that of the elders who in my opinion should have known better. That if a couple is missing on a day like holi, they must be wishing to get some privacy from the rest of the family. But it doesnt even come to anyone' mind, again why, because they knew the status quo of the couple and didnt really consider what sending Ruhi could disturb, even when they knew that now the couple is in love. This was not their first holi, but it was their first after they fell in love and instead of letting them be, the family decided to send Ruhi to call them for a dance.
I maybe overthinking this really, but I cant help myself.
Like I wrote on Insta, in one of my posts the honeymoon period for this couple has finally begun and for it they dont need to be just in a bubble all alone by themselves, but it was needed that the family not burst it like in every five minutes too by dropping in on them at all and every time.
Also I would like to say, I agree with those who say that it was very humane of Ishita to go and state to Shagun outright that she is now a woman her husband loves in every possible way so she better stop mocking and interferring.
That one night with Raman, where Ishita finally became a woman in the literal sense of the term, also did wonders for her self-confidence, her self-esteem and her own opinion about her sexuality and desirability. Note the way she is standing tall and confident with that smile and glow on her face as she appears out of the bathroom in that robe and her workaholic husband who is always lost in files and laptops, immediately dropped it all as he heard her approach. The second she is there, he gravitates towards her as if unable to help himself...if the night before he let on to her with his actions how much he desires her, wants her, finds her beautiful - how she does drive him crazy, make him go weak in the knees or escalate his heartbeats, or when he woke her up with that smile and happiness so tenderly, he made her feel special and loved...as he was drawn to her in that second, like being pulled by a magnetic force...he made her feel empowered...because he simply couldnt now stay away from her, keep his eyes off of her, or help touch her just because...even his teasing was so much more personal and intimate now...
And not just consciously, but even subconsciously, she found him drifting towards her.
Truth be told, I wondered why the moment when Ishita hangs up the phone and settles back beside Raman did we see something so intimate between them, frankly as per me the most intimate moment between them even more so than the consummation I was blown away by this moment - a simple one at that if you look at it. The moment Raman throws his arm over her casually as he turns over in his sleep and Ishita holds onto it, the way its resting right above her heart...that was just beyond words too me.
Earlier when we saw this couple in bed, where they gradually ended up sleeping by themselves all alone too sans Ruhi or because one of them is injured or Raman had made the excuse of the couch having a broken leg, we still saw them have a distance between them. They would be in the corners of the bed - he in his, she in hers and even if Ishita fell asleep in his arms we saw Raman would then gently tuck her into bed and then take his place aside her but still a little away. The only time they did sleep without any distance was when Raman had a nightmare and she put him to sleep and then hugged him as he held onto her hand. Now, that distance that was there even in their subconscious mind is eliminated, as they dont share a bed and yet sleep paces apart, they ended up right in the middle of it with no distance between them and sleeping in each other' arms in turns. That even asleep they now wanted to hold onto the other, be it by Raman throwing his arm over her or by Ishita holding his hand even when she' lost in a blissful slumber.
Intimacy brought about a lot of change in this pair as individuals, as a couple and even in their own family...so even while it seems irrational to see things at times, on some level it does make sense. 😳
