I think the initial news articles were just partial truth to try & peak interest. Bc BT may have gone with Shagun actually being a surrogate but I don't think SP would buy that especially when their shows are tanking TRP-wise.

They need OTT drama & this scam is the best way to include it without spoiling the essence of the show.

Plus all the TRP aunties wouldn't like to see the FL suffer this much with no payout in the end. It's too dark for even them.

Minus Shagun's astute involvement & knowledge of this, I like the inclusion of this scam bc it highlights the emotional toll faced by couples. I do hope they show her having to get treatment & not a natural pregnancy bc from what I understood, Ishita has a functional problem (scarred tubes) but she is still able to ovulate.

Who knows though? I will keep watching until they actually make Shagun a surrogate medically if they are still planning on that.
