Hi All!

Took me long to come back...

Without much ado here's the first part...

~Tum Mere Khwabon Se Jaa Na Sake~

PART 1: Chand Chupa Badal Me

I have been waiting for this day to end and the night to come from last few days.

It seems like the minutes hand on the clock is running at a turtle's speed.
My wrist watch too seems to follow the same pattern and the digital clock on my cellphone as well.

My excitement and nervousness is increasing with every passing second.

My heart might explode any minute from now.

I will see him tonight!

All thanks to Vandu.
Had she not decided to marry his friend Bala, I would have to wait more to see him.

But I can't tell her that. She does not appreciate my feelings for him you see.

Reasons???
Ermmm...I will tell you some other day.

Right now my entire focus is on the main gate of Vandu's house.

The bridegroom & his friends are going to be here tonight for the sangeet. And he is one among them.

I wonder what is taking them so long.

Honk honk...
Did I hear the horn of his Ferrari?

OMG! My heart is galloping faster than the horse on his Ferrari.

Lub Dub Lub Dub...
Seems like someone has plugged the stethoscope into my ears making me ear my own heartbeats.

My neck on its own accord grows longer than its original size craning to catch a glimpse of him.

There...There he is!

My eyes sparkle with a new glint as soon as it lands on him.

Smoking hot in a blue velvet sherwani.

Blue...His favourite
And the Man in Blue... My favourite!

I am half dead and to kill me completely he gives that breathtaking smile to all the girls shamelessly gawking at him.
Which reminds me I too am shamelessly gawking at him.

But...
Does he admire me the way I admire him?
Does he feel the way I feel for him?

As soon as the answers dawn upon me, my galloping heart stops abruptly & breaks into pieces.
My craning neck comes back to its original size catching a lump in between the throat.
My sparkling eyes lose the glint and glisten with unshed tears.

The excitement, the nervousness all disappear into thin air when a sharp spindle of pain goes right across my heart.

Not bold enough to face the reality and being an escapist that I am in this matter, I quote some silly excuse & rush to the only uncrowded place at the moment.

I stand at a corner on the terrace leaning and resting my elbows on the half built wall.

The dark night sky resembles the chances of my love being reciprocated which are obviously none.

And tonight the only ray of hope, the moon, also seems to tell me that I should stop expecting him to love me back, as it hides behind a dark cloud.

I was lost in my self inflicted agony until I heard faint footsteps informing me of someone's arrival.

Not wanting anyone to know of my condition, I quickly wipe my tears & try to escape without coming into that someone's view.

I was almost at the stairs when I heard a voice just behind me

"Aaj koi Chand se bhi zyada khoobsurat lag raha hai. Magar afsos ke woh bhi Chand ki tarah sabse chup kar baitha hai"

I halted in my steps & my eyes grew wider in shock for the husky voice that I heard was unmistakably his.

"Raman" I whispered.

"Oh! To is Chand se khoobsurat chehre ko mera naam yaad hai" he said chuckling.

"Aap yahan kya kar rahe hain?" I asked without looking back.

"Us khoobsurat chehre ko dekhne aya tha jise dekh kar chand khud sharma gayi"
Chand chupa badal me
Sharmake meri jaana

Is he talking about me?
He can't be!
There should be someone he is waiting for.
I must leave before that someone arrives.

I struggled to take it as casually as that sounded, but it hurt more than I assumed.

I literally started to drag myself away from him.

"Hum to aye the ye sochkar ke aaj us khoobsurat pari ko apne baahon me panaah denge, par wo to humse door jane ki koshish me hai"
Seene se lag jaa tu
Balkhaake meri jaana

My feets refused to move after hearing that.

He took the opportunity and walked around to face me & I closed my eyes not being able to meet his eyes.
I was afraid I would read something else in them which would worsen the pain I was already going through.

"Ye gumsum rath, ye gupchup badal, ye khamosh fizaein, ye madhosh kar dene wali hawaein. Ye sama bhi hamare milan ke intezar me hai"
Gumsum sa hai
Gupchup sa hai
Khamosh hai
Madhosh hai
Ye sama haan ye sama
Kuch aur hai

This can't be true...
No...this can't be true...
This is just a dream...
This is just a dream...
I told myself and shut my eyes tightly nodding my head from left to right.

"Open your eyes Ishita" I heard his husky whisper.

I took a long deep breath when I felt his arms going around me from less than an inch away

And...

I slowly opened my eyes in the arms of my sleeping husband, Angad Malhotra.

Now I opened my eyes completely waking up to the reality that he was out of my life but not from my dreams.

Tum Mere Khwabon Se Jaa Na Sake...

Glad u loved it...vl try to update VERY SOON...

U mean CK's Sequel? If that's what u mean then I am sorry to disappoint u as I haven't started working on it yet...
I have a plot set in my mind bt thinking & re-thinking hw to go abt it. ..
TBH I am afraid I might end goofing up with the original CK...

PS: What is it with the new usernames? I see many people getting a new username. I am hell confused who is who now 😕
