Short Story
Hello my awesome friends!
How are you? This is Insha back with my first short story. Thank you so much my friends for all the support.
This is totally a different concept from YHM's story. The concept of this story has been taken from a Hollywood movie. I won't tell you the movie's name now, when the story will have its ending, then I would prefer to share. You might find Ishita's character a little bit obsessed with Raman. But please kindly do not bash any of the characters of this story. It's only an imagination and nothing else. Please take it positively.
But before I start, I would like to dedicate this SS to my two lovelies first; AdyaXoXo and Crazy_Neha. This one is specially for both of you.
With the concept of this story, I would try to improve my writing skills and its originity. Please, inform me cordially through PMes and I will work on them definitely. Thank you so much in advance for all the love and support showering on me. And an assurance, I am a writer but not a great or amazing one.
WARNING: PLEASE DON'T COPY MY STORIES AND ITS UPDATES TO ANY OTHER FORUMS OR SITES. DON'T DO THAT PLEASE.
For getting the updates of my stories (PM), please buddy me. Please send me a friend request, so it would be easy for me to PM you.

PROLOGUE

Ishita Iyer, a 27-year-old New York restaurant critic, receives a call from her longtime friend Raman Bhalla. In college, the two made an agreement that if neither of them were married by the time they turned 28, they would marry each other. Three weeks before her 28th birthday, Raman tells her that in four days, he will marry Shagun Arora, a 22-year-old, University of Chicago student from a wealthy family.
Ishita is upset that Raman will marry someone so wrong for him, and someone he has known for such a short period of time. She realizes that she is in love with Raman, and heads to Chicago, intent on sabotaging his wedding. Soon after arriving she meets Shagun, who asks her to be the maid of honor. This sets off a comical scenario in which Ishita must pretend to be the dutiful maid of honor while secretly scheming ways to prevent the wedding from happening. She engages in petty sabotage " for example, taking Shagun and Raman to a Karaoke bar after discovering that Shagun is a terrible singer and later asks her friend Ashok to pretend they are engaged, hoping to make Raman jealous.
When these tactics fail, Ashok persuades Ishita to do the obvious: tell Raman she is in love with him. One morning, Raman gets Ishita alone and tells her that it'll be the last time they ever get to be alone. He expresses some skepticism in marrying Shagun, explaining that he and Shagun don't share a special song like he and Ishita do. Raman discreetly gives Ishita the invitation to tell him she's in love with him, but she lets the moment "pass her by." Raman starts singing their song as he grabs Ishita and holds her while they dance one last time. Ishita's unauthorized use of Shagun's father's computer to forge an email message to Raman's employer causes further problems for Raman and Shagun, to the point where they are on the verge of calling off the wedding.
The next morning, the day of the wedding, Ishita tries to sabotage the situation further as Raman and Shagun are not speaking to each other, they communicate through Ishita, not realizing she is trying to manipulate them into breaking up for good. In spite of this, Raman and Shagun decide they do love each other and want to get married after all. Ishita and Raman then take a walk, with Ishita finally confessing her love to Raman. She asks him to marry her instead, and tightly hugs him. Shagun witnesses this, and runs off. Will Raman and Ishita get closer or will they have to part their ways? Stay tuned to get to know about their love story.
