Simply beautiful!! I wish CVs would have out in half the effort you did in describing Raman's plight, his need for his wife, his need for a love that he may lose after tonight!

Its the half baked script, and the rushed delivery that makes us viewers irate...for some reason we have expectation of them that we should not ever have!! Thank you for re writing this scene, of r i will choose to use your version, if i decide to keep watching this show.

Honestly I didn't think of it in that perspective, but I feel that you are right. It makes sense you know. After all, they have bared their souls to each other, the fights, the arguments, the tough times, the ups and downs, the feeling and the need to be just loved before you feel like you will loose everything is very human! It is what it is, they mean so much to each other, and thats exactly what your OS said, how much they want each other, and how much they need each other! It was great! 👏

Author' Note -

So I'll get straight to business here.

SMST, is a piece very special to me because penning this was a challenge - not just for myself as an author, but it's a challenge that's against the viewpoint of a scene hated by the majority of the forum. The consensus is its hated - but I don't abide by that notion.

Yes, SMST, is an alternative take on Saturday' bedroom scene.

It's considered by mostly an act of seduction by Raman to get intimate with Ishita for the sole purpose of being able to steal that letter.

Well he simply had to wait for her to sleep, if that was all on his mind, isn't it? As he did too, he waited on her and then quietly removed that letter from the file.

So what was the need to be intimate, what was the need for showing what they did?

To me it was simple, as someone who writes, I found myself thinking there' only one thing that would make my character behave the way he did before something so catastrophic was about to strike their lives. Why would he behave in the way he did and the answer was simple - he wanted some respite, some comfort, stolen moments from time before everything went awry in his world and who but the one person he was about to hurt was his only solace in the world.

Thus, he approaches his wife, the woman capable of making him forget everything awful and dark about his life and world.

When he mention Ruhi' name, tears escape from his eyes - those tears are as much for the pain he is about to cause his daughter as much for the thought, if only she could have been here, even if to disturb them in this moment again - what he wouldn't give for that. How he is afraid that it might never happen.

His precise words to Ishita in the scene are, "Sirf tum aur main."

He wanted this one night with her before things perhaps tore them apart irrevocably. He wanted to have this moment of love before facing the hate, anger or repulsion of the woman he loved.

In the real world, two attractive people who were so much in love, married legally too wouldn't still be on the - one on bed, one on couch status - they would have crossed the bridge long ago amigos and only the gods know what's making our CV's think these two are monks.

I don't understand their obsession with the celibate status frankly, so I discarded it in my version.

So in this alternative take here, a husband looks for comfort in his wife before he is about to wreck their lives.

Not graphic in nature, however does posses mature themes.

Reader discretion advised.

Not Proofread.

And before I forget - the title is inspired by one of my all time favorite songs - the extremely sensuous, 'Hero' by Enrique Iglesias.

Another beautiful OS ...
I thought exactly the same.
He wants stolen moments for himself and for her too, before messing up. he wants to tell his wife he loves her too and he wants her as much as she wants him. But Glad they stopped in the middle...

What are the conditions Raman had ... Conditions...
1. Raman let the things happen ... Effect ... He can't close the distance as still his fight to get back his child will start and especially when he knows his child feels unwanted. And in distress...
A.If Adi went and took a drastic step , he could never forgive himself.
B.Otherwise fight for custody goes on and on.

2. He hid the papers ... Effect ...
A. Ishita will never forgive him and fought for her daughter all by herself.
B.she could take a drastic step again and flee with her daughter .
C. They can start a case from fresh and again fight for her daughter, very lengthy process, especially when child feels betrayed by the whole family.
D. To get back Ruhi either Raman or Ishita will accept Shagun's demand to leave each other and Raman be with Shagun again, Shaun's ultimate goal .

In both the scenarios they can't be romantically together, as they are right now, parents.

Ironically this marriage will always surrounds and affected By either Ruhi or Adi. Even though they took away the blanket of "Ruhi ke liye", they are together because of "Adi ke liye" as they both know right now Adi needs both parents, even if, Ishita could not be his mother, so soon, but, she can be his father's wife right now and for Adi this family is standing for him, which is important.

The whole execution and the plot has no existence if we think about logic as ... Only Raman's sign can't give Ruhi's Custody, their was no need for Ishita to come to the court and declare she doesn't want Ruhi now, even when Judge asked her , was she under pressure ? She could show the reports of the Adi's counsellor , which phase he is going through and could demand for the both kids to stay together which could have given Ruhi a relief that her parents will protect her, rather then this much unwanted drama... Very illogical track from CVs and very justified and beautiful acting by the actors.

Loved this Aani.

I disagree with you in the reading of the original scene as Raman's expression when Ishita says she will be sleeping with the file gives away the intentions of the CVs. Otherwise that response makes no sense considering it comes a second before he makes a move on her. But it feels good to believe in your version anyway. I'll think of this story to feel better. Wonderfully written as always.
