Subbu's mom was selfish for her son...my parents would think of all the same things when they get me married...their argument would be ---when there are soo many good Iyer guys why should we take a risk with our daughter's life...Not everyone are like that...But I dont blame people who are like that as well... But I do hate her when she tried to show II down...So her character is greyish there...

Subbu is a normal iyer boy...90% of us here wont go against our parents wishes in marriage...He was one of them...But what I hate about him is that he left her after engagement and he didnt show any remorse...so there u can see the greyishness...

Ranjan for now is greyish to me...and I wouldn't consider it reality if Nish acquits him by blaming chachu..may be someother reason...but till knowing that I am like R&B...I will hate him for wat he did to savitha...

Great Point Swathi

I think we all as humans do what is situationaly expedient thing. I don't have brothers, but if my Mom was planning to dump my brother's choice of girl after he got engaged to her, based on practical reasons like "We spent Rs. 20 lakhs on you at IIM, we cant have you earning and taking care of your wife's parents, you owe US your money, your care, your attention, your time"

I don't know how I would have reacted

Its so easy to wave the flag in a social media Forum and go all activist on anonymous people, I don't see hear or read or watch of too many people that take on injustice and violence and corruption.

The last I heard was the morchas that happened at Ram Leela Maidan in support of Kejriwal's Anshan
Before that the Nirbhaya protests
Nothing came of either I think (correct me if I am wrong)

A IIT Grad Satyendra Dubey's murder after he took on the road contract mafia in Bihar I think over the Government's Golden Quadrilateral Project

I read about ONE GIRL in NOIDA that dumped her groom 5? 7? years ago for dowry, MINUTES BEFORE her pheras. Later it turned out she had a boy friend tucked away some where and so the dumping was all for the expediency afterall

So I am not really convinced and sold on the whole "Main duniya ko badal daloongi" concept.

I WOULD LOVE examples though

I don't think about all that Nish !! Life is a simple theory for me...YOU CAN"T BE GOOD TO ALL...SO Everyone is greyish...and its ok

All the points subbu's mom stated are very valid and practical...I am a normal middle class girl who was brought up with great difficulty by my parents and wants to live with my parents, relatives a normal and typical life...I am not that person who wants to change the world and change the narrowmindedness of all people and so...So if by accepting my parent's wishes and making them happy makes me a conservative person, I DONT MIND... I wouldn't want it any other way...

I have been reading the stuff on phone since morning and all you ladies are burning the pages, from curd rice to II to Ranjan😆. We are having a snow day again on the first day of Spring😕. At least one kid went to school. On that note:Ashu, I thought about you today in AM when I dropping my son to school, as the class door was closed, One guy said hello to me & I said hi & said you are dropping your daughter, he said no I am the best uncle ever and the little girl did high 5 to him. I smiled and he went on to say that he came back home last night from a hiking trip (Nepal) and before I could say anything he added he works for Citibank and every year he goes to some international location to teach kids English for 2 months. I wish I could take his pic...fitted very well for R&B. He said that he loves Indian food and girls are so beautiful out there. The only difference between him & RnB was he is a talker. He talked all about his experience in Nepal while we were walking back to the car. Nice guy. Tell me rishety ki baat karo 😉
