So many think Shagun did what she did for Adi and his custody-so Raman and fam don't take him away from her.

So is she fighting for him coz she loves him or she doesn't want to lose her leverage for future or for plain old revenge. Has she ever shown her love for him(except during accident track)? I always got the feeling that she tolerated him and Raman saw through this. Hence he wanted Adi's custody.

So what should a parent in Raman's place do? Fight your ex for Adi's custody so he could get the love and security he deserves. But how do you deal with the situation in hand if your ex is like Shagun. How do you ensure your child's future?

I don't know if there a right or easy solution here-except maybe don't have children with spouses who are plain evil-& don't be blindsided by them in custody battles!!

Hey Sam, I think Shagun cares for Adi in her own selfish way- But when push comes to shove, for her- It is always herself that comes first- even over Adi.

I disagree over the accident track part- I did not feel she showed her love for Adi there- She tactfully used her son's mistake to kill two birds with one arrow- firstly, to show Ishita that she is still the priority in Raman's life(picnic track) and secondly, to make Ashok jealous enough to give her a ring. It backfired on her, but none of her actions came out of the need to protect her child. Because think about it, she also knows that ishita would never let harm befall a child, so the best way to really get adi out was to make him say a small sorry and it would be over. ishita even offered to take back the case if she came and apologized to Amma. But she let the case go on- let Ishita believe that Raman was having an affair with her- (Remember the car scene? Where she knows Ishita is behind the car and asks Raman to lie and then tries to show that they are making out in the car?). A mother who seriously worried about her child's safety would never do such things when there are bigger things to worry about.

As for her wanting to keep Adi- He is the one person she still has control over, the only person who actually loves her, a pawn to keep taking money frm raman as well as her ego- That raman and Ishita cannot take away that one thing from her life- simple. She cares about Adi- but is shallow enough to use him for all her purposes.

Sorry for barging in on your decisions ladies but I just wanted to praise how great you all are. You all have such thoughtful and intelligent replies on this thread. Even when you all disagree, it sounds so beautiful.😆

@maloo what a beautiful poem.

@becksharp I dont think you need to be a mother to understand her pain. You can be a woman and understand her pain too. Don't we all have insecurities about loosing someone or something?

@Krishy That is one thing about the some members on the fourm I dont understand. I really don't understand why people pin a parent vs spouse every time situations like this occur. Being a parent and a spouse are two different relationships, two different responsibility. Frankly Ishra should put there children first because these children are dependent on them. They are two young to take care of them self. They need guidance and love to help them prepare for life. That's why I didn't feel sorry for Shagun today even though what she said was correct. She has never put her son above her needs and she only wants him because she doesn't want Raman to have him. If she did care for her son, she could have proposed joint custody for Adi. Neither Ishra would deny that because they don't want Adi to loose his relationship with his mother.

@geno0309 Like I said to Krishy, I don't think she want Adi for her motherly or lack of motherly feelings. She has done this when her and Raman spilt the first time. She didn't want Adi because she truly loved him but she just didn't want Raman to have him. She send him to boarding school right after her first custody. Some member on another thread just reminded me that she said that Adi was her "kote ka sikka" or something like that. Even in Monday episode her reasons for Adi staying were selfish. Even now everything she is doing for her revenge and not her motherly love for her son.

Suu... you made total sense there. That accident track, though totally dragged, brought out IshRa angst, passion and insecurity like no other-Uff
Okay sorry I digress!

Why oh why is Shagun so shallow???doesnt she get tired of being so self centered and selfish??There has to be some explanation for such behavior right?? was her mom another Toshiji albeit GKB version?(well we did get a glimpse of her-she definitely was)...how did Mihir turn out so normal?? thank goodness for such mercies I guess!

Shagun is sick and needs help-bass

PS: I was listening on NPR the other day that we as a generation are raising narssistic children(research on parents of 7-12 yr olds)-imagine if Toshiji and Mrs Arora and the likes were part of the group, then toh research would have suggested we have no hope!

@Coco...I get your frustration...it's really strange people would try to compare Ishita's love for Ruhi vs her love for Raman..and you're not a minority..lot of us didnt feel empathy for Shagun...her scenes were better thought out today...instead of just animation or schreeching, there was some thought process given to her screen presence and that made her presence justified.

@Tanvi ..yes I loved the simplicity and yet such a meaningful scene between the siblings...this is the same Ruhi who didnt include Adi in her family drawing and Adi who didnt much care for his little sister...today they were so happy as they felt now they would always be together...that scene just knocked me hard...Innocence losing to grown up battles. So unfair for those two little kids. And today YHM finally focused on the supporting cast...each of their reaction was so bang on,,,,those little touches..of Romi, Simmi reacting to Shagun...and trying to console Ishita, supporting her...then dadu watching the bonding between his two grandchildren..this IS what YHM has always been about.

@Krishy Yes the Precap just gave me a deja vu of the 'you're the world's best papa' that episode is a favorite of mine and like you I miss Raman Ruhi moments...and tomorrow Karan and Ruhanika will kill us,.I didnt talk about the Precap because I wanted to focus on Ishita today and deliberately avoided talking about Raman because I have a feeling tomorrow I'll be talking about him and today we got only a glimpse of what he's going through...the visible change in his body language from when as a protective husband he calmed down Ishita to quietly pleading with Shagun for more time...and when he told Bala he can't see Ishita like that...I can just imagine the amount of guilt he's feeling..here he was looking finally to have his family complete to again revisit the prospect of losing his child again to Shagun's game...and this time as you said, he's solely responsible for it.

@VJ..I felt he was buying time because he knew he's been played and he needed to find a solution to the problem...he wants both of his kids home...and he's not going to give in and give shagun Adi that quickly...he was reacting as any guy would under the extreme shock of what transpired combined with the fact that ONLY he's to blame for the mess they are in...and he's trying to guy some time to try to see if he could get out of the soup he's landed into.

@Anu I always love your attention to detail...and today we saw old Bala re-emerging as the voice of reason and the fiercely loyal to bhai Simmi today standing by her bhabi Ishita... "Also, I have to say that I hope this track means more RAMRU scenes and not just more ISHRA/ISHRARU/ISHRU ones... Being a daddy's girl myself I love the father -daughter relationship and have always appreciated the beauty with which it was pot rayed on YHM... hopefully this track means more such memorable moments." yes I'm with you..I have complained in my post so many times about lack of Raman-Ruhi or Raman-Adi scenes as Raman is also a great parent and sometimes the Cvs tend to forget that.

@Dmug ..Yes I also feel Adi would be a key player as he's witnessing now both sides of the game played in front ..and his heart and mind has started realizing the fact that his Momma is not always right about the way she painted the Bhallas...and he has been touched by the unconditional love of his father's family and today his tears again proved how much he loves his Momma but he's standing at the threshold to the complete picture of how his mother is trying to snatch happiness of all the people he has started to care, especially his little sister Ruhi...and probably that will be the push he needs to overcome his loyalty towards his mom..and display his father's traits in him...by standing with the right.

@MReddy welcome to the thread. Well in Raman's defense he's always tried to work with Shagun when Adi needed anything for the past 6 years and even respected the bond Adi and Shagun shared to the extent that he never wanted to separate Shagun and Adi. But while they stayed at the Bhalla's he saw the transformation in Adi into a more caring human being and also the day Shagun was thrown out at Rinky's wedding ...Adi was pleading silently with his Papa not to let him go. So Raman knows Adi would love to be with his family and a a father he understood that Adi has a better chance of being a good human being under the care of Ishita vs Shagun. So he went with the shortest route to 'buy' the custody...forgetting the scheming bi🤬ch that Shagun is.

Gan, as ALWAYS beautiful collages and write-up. I haven't watched the episode (in fact haven't been for the last 2 weeks) but have been reading up on ur threads. Ur collages and all the views over here show what an impactful episode it must have been. I just wanted to share my opinion, based on the reviews here, even before watching the episode.

The above quote is to put in perspective Ishita Vs Shagun.

Catch up later, after watching the episode.

That's one of my very favorite quotes. Infact I used it here in one of my collage posts...I agree that quote fits Ishita and Shagun to the tee.

Love the Ishra collage and agree with what you said. Yes Puttar has been hiding things, making mistakes galore, but I wouldn't for a second doubt his love for biwi or biwi's love for him. Yes, he has said hurtful things to biwi and tomorrow, biwi will say hurtful things to him. Whether they are justified or not, hurtful words from your partner wound deeply. So yes, they will be in pain, Ishita will leave with Ruhi and it will be a bumpy road for a while, but yeh hai mohabbatein after all, and so ultimately, the love will triumph.

I haven't been on the rest of the forum today, so am a much happier soul. 😃

Off to update my FF now.

I completely agree that Shagun needs some serious help. She needs to get out of her self-obsession- which is probably never going happen.. :)

Arre baapre- we can never put Mrs.Arora in the study- That would seriously do weird things to the results!!!
