"But in the real world, you couldn't really just split a family down the middle, mom on one side, dad the other, with the child equally divided between.
It was like when you ripped a piece of paper into two:
no matter how you tried, the seams never fit exactly right again.
It was what you couldn't see,
those tiniest of pieces, that were lost in the severing,
and their absence kept everything from being complete."
Sarah Dessen

What a gut wrenching episode...it's a situation where frankly there is no one winning...and the biggest price is paid by the children, who unfortunately are at fault of being born in a situation where the parents fell out of love.

Of all the complaints I've had about YHM of late, today's episode left me with no complaints...everyone was in their element...including Anita H...I found the old grey shaded Shagun Arora after months in her today.

And Divyanka, amazing performance as a mother who is facing her worst nightmare...her raw emotions were so palpable today...it's hard to believe that she's not even a mother in real life.

And that little scene between the brother and sister, so happy to be together...had me in tears...

And Adi's tears when he came to know about the deal between his parents...gosh ...just broke my heart...

Wish no family or kids have to ever go through this situation ...but unfortunately this happens in real life more often than not. And YHM today has been as close to reality as a fictional story can be.

An episode of heartrending poignancy.

Note: A request. Please keep discussions about the episode...we have enough threads discussing the offscreen stuff. Thank you in advance.

Good update Gan!!!
Loved today's episode... superb acting by Divyanka... she deserves all the awards.

Shagun's emotions were real today and Anita was good.

Poor Ruhi is unaware of the storm even in the precap.

Raman has been reduced to a man who keeps doing mistakes over and over again making his wife-daughter suffer for it... sad!!!

Ishru relation hooked me to this show and it still is the main reason why I watch this show apart from ishra.

Adi is going to support Ishita I think.

I think Raman is going to face a new Ishita from now on.

I wonder why noone including Raman told shagun to keep adi as they cant afford to lose Ruhi... and later try to fight in the court.

I personally feel Shagun dont deserve to be separated from Adi.

Looking forward to tomorrow's ishru bedroom scene.

"Children ought not to be victims of the choices adults make for them," ~ Wade Horn

"Broken relationships are a source of heavy heartbreak that seem to affect every family." ~Jerry B. Jenkins

"She is the creature of life, the giver of life, and the giver of abundant love, care and protection. Such are the great qualities of a mother. The bond between a mother and her child is the only real and purest bond in the world, the only true love we can ever find in our lifetime." ~Ama H.Vanniarachchy

G what a beautiful collage. An episode about two mothers who polar opposites of each other.

Before I get on with the episode, I would like to get something off my chest. I find it really unfair that so many people on this forum always pin a wife vs mother against one another every time some situation like this comes up. I am not a mother in real life but I have plenty of friends who just become new mothers and they have told me a new person within them is born along with this child. They have told me they have this new found strength and a new life within them. Not being a mother in real life I understand Ishita's pain and words. I don't think she loves Raman any less just because she says Ruhi is her everything. And every woman that is a mother will say that whether she is married or divorced. Sorry for the rant had to say it. Like the above quote says there is no purer love than a mother.

Now coming to the episode, poor Ishita. DT was spot on and amazing in her performance. So natural! I was shaking the whole time while I was watching. Her world just came crashing down in front of her. Ishita's insecurities, her fears, her broken-heart. A mother whose whole life began because of her daughter was going to be taken away from her because her biological mother wanted to get back at her ex- husband. Ishita watched her world crash in front of her. It hit unexpected too. Can you imagine someone coming to you and saying I am taking your child. Ishita is probably going crazy. A deal to trade one kid for another was unrealistic and unfair. YHM is the story of Ishtia and Ruhi. It's there love story. It was about two broken souls who found each other and gave each other a will to live. Their dreams and desires came true. If Ishita hadn't save Ruhi from the car in their first meeting, Ruhi wouldn't have a had a mother or father or a united family and Ishita wouldnt have a child and a husband who loves her unconditionally. I am glad they have a track focusing on them. Without Ruhi there is not Ishita and without Ishita there is no Ruhi. They complete one another. No matter what Shagun wants, she will never have Ruhi because Ruhi choose her mother when her biological mother walked away from her. There are some relationships in life that no storm or hardships can break. Ishita and Ruhi's one of them.

Shagun's words made sense today but I still can't feel anything for her. I maybe the minority but I have seen her use her son way to many times to know she has some motherly feelings for him. She may love him in her own werid way but her using her son as pawn overshadows that. Even today when she told Adi about the deal, she was still talking about revenge and making Raman suffer. She never once said to him I cant loose you Adi, your the only family I have. Look at Ishita, it looked like her whole life was been taken from her. She knows Adi is her trump card to getting free money off Raman or getting back in the Bhalla house. The only way Shagun will be punished for her wrong doings is if her own son turns against her.

Adi my heart went out him. I will say this a lot but Adi is not a bad kid just mislead. The hurt in his eyes were so evident when he found out a child exchange. No child should have to face the harsh truth about there parents or have suffer or to used by parent or have to face like they are not wanted. This child deserves unconditional love. What actually got me today was the scene between Adi and Ruhi. Both children were so excited to finally live together. To have a chance at having a real brother-sister relationship. I love the little kiss he gave Ruhi for thanking her for helping Ishita prepare his room. Its so unfair for these two be caughting in the middle of their parents divorce. Ishita protected Ruhi but nobody was there to protect Adi. Slowly this child sense the importance to family and started bonding with everyone. Why cant Shagun see her son's desire to have a family. She doesnt need to give Raman full custody but why cant they have shared custody. Its a win-win situation for every party evolved.

I actually felt bad for Raman today. I know it was his mistake but imagine being sided balled by your ex-wife. He was so close to having both his children and one mistake he lost his daughter. Even though Toshiji is GKG, Raman is not like that. He loves both his children unconditionally. The way Raman was stone cold shocked but then he had to fight for his daughter. KP was great as a tormented father today.

I am sorry if my post is all over the place but I had to let my feelings out. It was really great episode and everyone was amazing with their acting. DT just stole the whole show.

I found myself actually empathising with Shagun today for a bit. I know she was wrong, but she is fighting for her child too.
IMO, everyone acted so well today. This will be such a heart wrenching track. 😭

PS - love that shot of Adi Ruhi G. And the one of Ishita and Raman, their last moment of solidarity in this battle? For tomorrow, Ishita will shut out Raman.

Just saw the third pic in your collage, that of Shagun gloating, and my momentary empathy for her dissipated. She is gloating - you don't gloat when you are destroying your child's life.

Sorry, my thoughts are evolving.

Hi Gan,
I knew todays episode would have touched you.

Still havent watched the episode completely, just caught the starting and ending. Loved DT's acting, emotional episodes r going to continue 2mrrow also.

Loved the pic of bro and sis bonding, how cute they look.

I think in every family when the parents fight (however big or small) childrens come under fight. Even me when I am angry I yell at my kids, even though I apologise to them, I really feel bad afterwards.

I am curious to know how the makers r going to take forward the story...Ishu and Ruhi r missing as per OLVs, whose idea is it? Puttar or Biwi herself left...really intriguing.

There was one mother who manipulated and lied to one of her kid and didn't care about the other and there was another mother who loved her kid more than life itself. It's irony that it's always Ishita who has to prove that she deserves Ruhi and Shagun just gets to take / give back whoever she wants whenever she wants just because of the nine months. Nine months- which is nothing compared to your whole life.

Divyanka, I don't know how to praise what she did tonight! She made me feel her pain as a mother and I'm not one. She gave me goosebumps. I'm just proud to be her fan.

Episodes of contrast today! It was all about life through the perspective of Ishita and Shagun. An emotional episode to say the least, Ishita's plight was so gut wrenching making me teary and then the kiddos just made me bawl. Too many feels right now to process this so I am going to very brief, once i regain my composure I shall return with my rambling.

"What separates privilege from entitlement is gratitude." - Brene Brown

The difference between Shagun and Ishita is that while the former thinks her rights as a parent are an entitlement, Ishita on the other hand treats parenthood as a privilege with an increasing sense of gratitude towards her husband, her family and more importantly towards her daughter. Again a contrast between Ishita and Shagun as a parent.

"I don't believe an accident of birth makes people sisters or brothers. It makes them siblings, gives them mutuality of parentage. Sisterhood and brotherhood is a condition people have to work at."
Maya Angelou

Again a contrast between Ishita's kids and Shagun's kids. While Shagun made Adi and Ruhi brother and sister by birthing them, Ishita made them siblings by infusing them with love, tenderness, care and sense of responsibility towards each other, Ishita made them their father's children and gave them a bond of love. Today's Ishita's kids showed that they were siblings and true progeny of their loving and upstanding father, and it will be Ishita's kids, this pair of siblings that will bring the Bhallas out of this mess.

"When everything goes to hell, the people who stand by you without flinching -- they are your family. "
" Jim Butcher

Again it was a contrast between Shagun's family and Ishita'a family, Shagun left this family divided and in shambles, a father not on talking terms with his son, a MIL too distraught by his Son's plight, a father refusing to acknowledge his daughter. All of them divided breathing under the same roof, while Ishita's family is a reflection of unity, all bonds strong, a family overflowing with love, understanding and a dedication to make each other happy. Today Ishita's family stood together as a unit trying to weather this unfortunate storm, everyone trying their level best to get a solution to this problem, everyone trying to make each other's life better. Ishita's family is a picture of solidarity while Shagun's was a fragmented mirror.

Regarding puttar I felt for him, I really did! To find yourself so close to having happiness back and to have his family complete and then in an instant see all your dreams shatter in front of your eyes. 😭 I am sure it must not have been easy to see your wife in pain when all he was trying to do was give her all the happiness. Lack of communication is going to be puttar's flaw, in shutting Ishita out he has shut out happiness...at least for the time being.

How tragic that the one person that can heal puttar is the one he has hurt the most. I know puttar and missus will turn the corner and come out of this victorious, they will be a team again but meanwhile puttar will hurt, missus will say things in anger and try to shut out puttar, i only hope puttar fights and don't let missus shut him out.

#Puttar fight for your family
#We are with you.
#Read before you sign papers
#Facepalm

Will return tonight to add more.

PS: The picture of Ruhi and Adi in your collage. 😭

In all this the 1st Point came in my Mind ws "Divorce parents Kids r worst sufferers in entire situation"
That what Adi-Ruhi made me feel the Most...
making kids more normal in YHM ...made more sense than they made children before...
This entire track made so much sense..as u said so rightly one see Shagun as grey shades..But A mother in her ws seen..

episode ws heart-rendering...made thing so fall on place in the show...

A Mother who has all motherly Love...
A father who Loves both kids equally...
A Couple who's foundation is kid
A Mother with her own mean intentions...
The two Kids

I absolutely adoring the Moment b/w the siblings...I so glad to watch cv's tired to get this Point to keep the Kids..more as kids who has own innocent world...with its siblings...i absolutely adore that big bro giving his kiddo sister..who ws happily showing him the room they prepared for him..there small dreams of going to skool together...staying together...the craving ..happiness...excitement with there siblings...I somehow adore Adi in that moment...ruhi's happiness...i still remember old moments that rakhi scene where she ws excited to tie rakhi on her brother's wrist...
In all this they get to hit the reality of Life they cant live together bcoz there parents dont live together...they had to bear this burden of being a commodity of division...
Its simply the sad but i feel somewhere this reality faced by kids in our society...

A Mother..it heart-rendering to watch Ishu in that state of mind...but it shown the pleads the Love for the kid whom she Love by choice as mother...the depth of Love this woman has for Ruhi...go to any extend..doesnt give on anything pleaded as mother...cried for a her child...it Heart-touching..just gave jittery feelings inside...i simply loved when amma-vandu making her calm down..she ws more a mother who's kids for few seconds not seen around ws getting mad where she is..she didnt seen her for long...
i so out of words to explain it ws heart-touching to watch this mother's plea to keep her daughter with her...it good to watch Ishu broken down..even selfishness of her as mother of Ruhi she is...
can go to any extent to keep her daughter with her...

A father/A Husband--For Raman both his kids r equal a daughter had the heart & son is brain for him to survive...he had to do the choice to keep the one...where he ws making a dream of a complete family...where his kids r going to be with him...
who ws totally shattered his dreams of perfect home is no real...
A wife to whom to gives all the happiness of the world...she gave him all the happiness...all he could see broken down...it heart-wrenching when he picked her up...consoling her making quite...
that Moment of that husband-wife..where she needed him to make everything alright again..all in place...somehow making everything right...he somewhere went wrong...
when Raman asks the time..holding Ishu that ws so parental moment where father consoling mother of his kid...asking shagun to give them some time to think...

A mother with own intentions...yest i wrong on ur thread how i see shagun..in this track..she is right on her place..Bhalla's couldnt take Adi away from her for 6 yrs when she ws with Ashok but when they saw shagun along..wanted Adi bk...they were weak at that point..so ws seen shagun weak now...by ploying this loads makes sense in entire track...she could take money from Raman could Live her materialistic life easily..but she didnt she shown them her motherly side to them..at what reach she can go to keep Adi with her...shown what her feelings r...made them go-through... took her revenge..at same time ws securing her son's future...
Ruhi for her ws always Raman's daughter...
( she have motherly for her...it mean in its own way for her too)

I Loved the family..i wanted to see its always Leads r working for family member to make there life's better...when these two will face difficulties how family ws standing by there side...Simmi holding Ishu...toshiji fighting for Ishu for there ruhi...there ws no GKC for her today..it ws more about there own son the DIL & granddaughter to whom for 6 yrs she bought her up...Bala-vandu parents all were lending the sport...devar whom cant see his bhabhi in this pain...
Beautiful family bond i could see...

The focus on testimony of IshRa relation...the world of IshRaRu ...i ws Looking for this where center on focus gets on them...
its about parents..it about IshRa relationship...
im glad finally cv's get something where they could focus on the heart & soul of this show with this...this one is going to one heck watchable track..

Karan-Dt were just perfectly played out...
