----- EDIT-------
G- terrific collage and quotes and I really love your analysis of Ashok-Raman ... makes total sense and makes me appreciate Ashok as a character a little more now. 😛
I actually really enjoyed the episode, every part of it, surprisingly. The scene at Ashok's office was nice- the way the many layers of d of RKB the boss were presented so slightly was nice. Loved how easily the idea of what kind of man & boss RKB was illustrated through his camaraderie with his coworkers- the sense of ease and reliability that Ashok can never have, mostly because he can't understand the necessity and joy of of it. And the scene of RKB with the Khannas - often we talk about the disastrous mistakes of editing so today I have to give credit to the camera work on that scene, the angles and shots really added to the scene showing Ashok's sense of superiority and his attempts to impose it on Raman , as well as Raman's suppressed rage. RKB 2.0 is completely visible in that scene, he is just waiting to jump out... and when he does the Khanna brothers better run. #I'm so excited #I can see my hero #Come out to play soon RKB 2.0 #a glimpse is not enough #I'm waiting with bated breath #All your fangirls be waiting
I loved the focus on Romi, AG is doing a terrific job depicting his struggle and frustration. All I could do when I watched Mr.Bhalla, scold his son was think about how horrible the father was going to feel when he realizes the entire truth of the situation. That will be one emotional scene.
Romi's scenes were terrific, and like you said his own internal struggle presents wonderful comparative basis for that of Raman. At the end of the day, both Bhalla brothers are swallowing their own rage against the people deliberately wronging them and allowing said people to enjoy their false sense of victory only for the love of family... but once they both reach their boiling point it's going to be fantastic. #I want a front row seat #ASHAGUN annihilation #Bhalla brothers do it better
Loved that Adhi was the one that noticed Romi , reflective Romi noticing the same of Adhi several episodes ago and calming him. It is also quite interesting that he went to Ishita for help for his Chachu... really indicative of his internal understanding of their relationship and his growing trust in Ishu's goodness and motives. 😊 As well, that he simply stood in the background and listened to Ishu and Romi's words and just took it all in, only coming in when he sensed he could help... lovely. The CVs are finally doing this Adhi track properly- allowing him to come to his own conclusions irrespective of his mother's attempts to influence. The fact that Adhi offered to help of his own accord, show that he is voluntarily taking the steps to take up his empty place in the Bhalla family picture... love it. 👏👏
This scene again played to the Romi-Adhi similarities and I am glad Ishita noted Adhi's similarity to Raman. Hope Raman begins to experience such genuine moments of affection and warmth from Adhi as well and not just learn about them secondhand. And you know how I feel about the Ishita-Romi scene, right? So classic, so reminiscent of their past interactions...the first step in Romi finally being able to confide his worry about his situation to the one person in his family that can truly understand. #Devar-Bhabi fan club #Go Romi Go #Your truth matters #Your truth can make a difference
And finally the ISHRA scene...*sigh* I know someone mentioned that it reminded them of the phone conversation after Param's attack; but for me it was quite reminiscent of their conversation at the beginning of their marriage about Ammah & Appah's anniversary where Ishu got drunk. The false affection in their conversation at the time, compared to the wealth of unsaid emotion and love in this conversation is just beautiful. Both conversations were about family functions but the previous conversation was full of typically romantic words which hid bitter barbs infront of an audience and this conversation was a simple and ordinary exchange filled simple normal words with a wealth of meaning in a private moment which talked more of their yearning and love then then the previously used words of love could have.
What I loved the most was his quiet , teasing tone, filled with affection as he sat in the home of a man he detested, putting pride aside and working for their family. His tone was so lovely, he was in the throes of love and having a whispered conversation about an ordinary topic, but he was treating the conversation and protecting it like a secret, his secret... because he couldn't believe that he finally had such a gift in his life and did not want the ugliness of his surroundings to taint it in any way. I loved it. So much.
PS: I finally completely appreciate the whole glasses & stubble look for RKB now... really works in this role as he steps back into 'the past'... does this mean he'll only lose the glasses permanently once RKB 2.0 emerges? #Atleast it won't be too long #Clark Kent - Superman : Raman -RKB 2.0 # I can't wait
PPS: Will this Sangeet be the first YHM party/celebration with no drama or ISHRA sadness? #A girl can dream #No Shagun so maybe a peaceful party #Only slight moments of intrigue and doom to come #I can work with that #Will we get a drunk Ishu #Goes with the pattern of the anniversary party # Why not dream big? #Definitely RKB's dream #ISHRAHolics too #Will this be the little rest the CVs give us before it all comes crashing down
