"The minute you think you have the right to belittle others because you think you're better than them is the same minute you've proven you're worse."
Joanne Crisner Alcayaga

~Edit:
An episode of contrast...of insults and encouragement. Of resilience and dignity even when time is not at your side. Of helping hands and of acting bossy. Of appreciation and of contempt.

Two siblings sort of in similar state of mind but one got a break and one is looking at some bleak times.

Raman is living through his worst nightmare of work environment...and Ashok is making sure of that. He's trying to go all out to break the man that Raman Bhalla is and probably Ashok Khanna can never become...so sort of he's going try every trick to bring Raman down below him to make himself feel superior. But somewhere in his efforts of belittling Raman lies his own insecurity... of not having what Raman has...and for that Raman doesn't need a position, his value lies within himself...and there Raman the shorter guy always stands taller than Chhe-foot do inch.

"Connecting with those you know love, like and appreciate you
restores the spirit and give you energy to keep moving forward in this life."
Deborah Day

Romi, who was at his wits end because of the punishment of indifference from his family due to his mistake finally gets help from his bhabi and his nephew to look forward to be 'needed' by his family again.

Don't know whether I make sense...

P.S.
Happy Birthday to Aly Goni and he got some birthday screen space today and it's good to see the Punjabi munda Romi back...Shagun the thread is getting shorter...while you're busy planning a 'dhamaka' at Rinky's wedding.

Today's epi had some brilliant moments...

1. Raman's attitude... It was subtle yet effective enough to give a clear message to Ashok. Ashok knows the power of RKB too... He's forced by the circumstances to stay calm but when this tornado takes its original form, there won't be any Khanna brothers to fight back... Ashok has invited trouble and his destruction in the form of this man... Apart from his shareholding, he has nothing in that company but RKB has everything which includes a sensible wife too...

2. Adi and Ishita's bonding... Now, Adi is looking out to Ishita to share these important issues... He saw that his chachu was in pain and knew that Ishita aunty has the sensibility to ease off that pain... Shagun is losing terribly... He's already Ishita's Adi...

3. Mihika's helplessness... What'll Mihika do now? To save her dear jeeju... From what has been shown, Mihika's pregnancy is here to shake Ashok Khanna... Will Mihika use it or for a change, will Ashok make the best out of it? We know that Rinky is not marrying Nikhil...

4. Raman and Ishita's convo... Reminded me of that convo during Param's fiasco... When he misbehaved with Ishita for the first time, Raman called her from Mumbai. They spoke about anything n everything but at the end of the day, Raman found that Ishita was in distress... Today, after that convo, Ishita guessed that all is not well... Dil ka rishtha... Waiting for this truth to come out...

5. Romi caught hold of that person...Where will this drama go from here? Will Romi get back the respect that he lost?

6. Last but not least...Shagun's plan... She has made arrangements to stop this marriage... Will Shagun succeed? Shagun's tunnel vision will disrupt everything...once again...

Lovely collage !😊

Everything is happening super-fast, that even I'm feeling rushed to formulate my opinions I feel. 😆

Today's episode had a lot happening. It's all getting cooked up together for the grand finale of the big drama the show is known for. There was this level of tension for me throughout the episode, unhappiness due to certain aspects but I think is was satisfactory episode for most part.

I felt broken seeing my dear Raman being insulted by the cheap Ashok Khanna and his brother 🥺💔, got me hating Ashok all over again!😡 But I felt there was a little sense of positivity imposed, like with the Raman and Peon scene.

Showing Raman and the peon rekindling their previous bond, i thought it was very subtle way for the Cvs to show value of Raman's character, he has done good to others and they remember and value him for it. Even though Ashok was trying to make him feel small I felt like Raman remained to stand tall as a man of substance regardless...😃

Plus after watching today I feel Raman won't work under Ashok for too long ( This could be by inner desire) but I feel we will soon see Raman bashing Ashok left right and walking away even stronger then the first time he walked away from Ashok. . This track could also mean Raman finding out about Mihika , I actually like As-Mi together😳 but I can't deny that Ashok is a horrible man and Mihika doesn't deserve such person.

After a long time I saw Ishita-Romi scene, I always loved this duo! 👏 There is this good vibe about them.

Also loved the little Adi scene, him seeing his Chachu sad, knowing its grown up problem he approached Ishita! That was very mature way of thinking on Adi's part and his little help saying he'll keep his grandpa busy with dance practice was good to see...Adi change is fast but for the first time I feel like he's acting for his age unlike before👏

I loved the tiny scene of Mihir-Rinki bond, they have a good chemistry. I'm anticipating their wedding 😆

And let's not forget the Putta- Biwi phone convo...at mist all the tension they are such relief to each other and us! Cuteness at its best! ❤️

p.s Loved Divyanka's saree (blue & white) , she looked gorgeous!

Edited.

Beautiful words G, and I love the second collage.

I just watched the epi, and then wished I hadn't because even if it is for a short time, to watch Ashok humiliating Puttar is too much for my heart to take. So touching though to see the respect with which the other employees treated Raman. As you say, therein lies his true value - his compassion and his integrity. This man will triumph over the one who measures his worth with wealth, but when?

Biwi looked beautiful in that blue and white sari combo - if only Puttar could have seen her.

Thank you CVs for the minimal exposure to the virus Shaguni La Malice.

RES... to deceptively sleeping tigers readying to pounce and familial ties that stand the test of time and misunderstandings.

----- EDIT-------

G- terrific collage and quotes and I really love your analysis of Ashok-Raman ... makes total sense and makes me appreciate Ashok as a character a little more now. 😛

I actually really enjoyed the episode, every part of it, surprisingly. The scene at Ashok's office was nice- the way the many layers of d of RKB the boss were presented so slightly was nice. Loved how easily the idea of what kind of man & boss RKB was illustrated through his camaraderie with his coworkers- the sense of ease and reliability that Ashok can never have, mostly because he can't understand the necessity and joy of of it. And the scene of RKB with the Khannas - often we talk about the disastrous mistakes of editing so today I have to give credit to the camera work on that scene, the angles and shots really added to the scene showing Ashok's sense of superiority and his attempts to impose it on Raman , as well as Raman's suppressed rage. RKB 2.0 is completely visible in that scene, he is just waiting to jump out... and when he does the Khanna brothers better run. #I'm so excited #I can see my hero #Come out to play soon RKB 2.0 #a glimpse is not enough #I'm waiting with bated breath #All your fangirls be waiting

I loved the focus on Romi, AG is doing a terrific job depicting his struggle and frustration. All I could do when I watched Mr.Bhalla, scold his son was think about how horrible the father was going to feel when he realizes the entire truth of the situation. That will be one emotional scene.

Romi's scenes were terrific, and like you said his own internal struggle presents wonderful comparative basis for that of Raman. At the end of the day, both Bhalla brothers are swallowing their own rage against the people deliberately wronging them and allowing said people to enjoy their false sense of victory only for the love of family... but once they both reach their boiling point it's going to be fantastic. #I want a front row seat #ASHAGUN annihilation #Bhalla brothers do it better

Loved that Adhi was the one that noticed Romi , reflective Romi noticing the same of Adhi several episodes ago and calming him. It is also quite interesting that he went to Ishita for help for his Chachu... really indicative of his internal understanding of their relationship and his growing trust in Ishu's goodness and motives. 😊 As well, that he simply stood in the background and listened to Ishu and Romi's words and just took it all in, only coming in when he sensed he could help... lovely. The CVs are finally doing this Adhi track properly- allowing him to come to his own conclusions irrespective of his mother's attempts to influence. The fact that Adhi offered to help of his own accord, show that he is voluntarily taking the steps to take up his empty place in the Bhalla family picture... love it. 👏👏

This scene again played to the Romi-Adhi similarities and I am glad Ishita noted Adhi's similarity to Raman. Hope Raman begins to experience such genuine moments of affection and warmth from Adhi as well and not just learn about them secondhand. And you know how I feel about the Ishita-Romi scene, right? So classic, so reminiscent of their past interactions...the first step in Romi finally being able to confide his worry about his situation to the one person in his family that can truly understand. #Devar-Bhabi fan club #Go Romi Go #Your truth matters #Your truth can make a difference

And finally the ISHRA scene...*sigh* I know someone mentioned that it reminded them of the phone conversation after Param's attack; but for me it was quite reminiscent of their conversation at the beginning of their marriage about Ammah & Appah's anniversary where Ishu got drunk. The false affection in their conversation at the time, compared to the wealth of unsaid emotion and love in this conversation is just beautiful. Both conversations were about family functions but the previous conversation was full of typically romantic words which hid bitter barbs infront of an audience and this conversation was a simple and ordinary exchange filled simple normal words with a wealth of meaning in a private moment which talked more of their yearning and love then then the previously used words of love could have.

What I loved the most was his quiet , teasing tone, filled with affection as he sat in the home of a man he detested, putting pride aside and working for their family. His tone was so lovely, he was in the throes of love and having a whispered conversation about an ordinary topic, but he was treating the conversation and protecting it like a secret, his secret... because he couldn't believe that he finally had such a gift in his life and did not want the ugliness of his surroundings to taint it in any way. I loved it. So much.

PS: I finally completely appreciate the whole glasses & stubble look for RKB now... really works in this role as he steps back into 'the past'... does this mean he'll only lose the glasses permanently once RKB 2.0 emerges? #Atleast it won't be too long #Clark Kent - Superman : Raman -RKB 2.0 # I can't wait

PPS: Will this Sangeet be the first YHM party/celebration with no drama or ISHRA sadness? #A girl can dream #No Shagun so maybe a peaceful party #Only slight moments of intrigue and doom to come #I can work with that #Will we get a drunk Ishu #Goes with the pattern of the anniversary party # Why not dream big? #Definitely RKB's dream #ISHRAHolics too #Will this be the little rest the CVs give us before it all comes crashing down

Res...here's to swallowing some of your pride for your loved ones & a show that's moving so fast that if you blink your eye, you miss it! 😆
...
Oh the sweet Bhalla boys. The lives of each of the young Bhalla men are in shambles, and my heart goes out to each of them.

Raman: He compromised his pride and self respect to make sure no one at home had to pick up any undue stress. For the sake of peace on his wife and parent's face, he swallowed the bitter pill that is Ashok Khanna. However, no matter how much Ashok tortures him, I don't think he will break completely because he has something worth suffering for.

Gan, you mentioned Ashok's insecurities manifesting as his desire to constantly show up Raman. Ashok is the Jagat Papa of this show...he always ends up with "second hand items" (not that women & children are items or can be second hand). Ashok has nothing to fight for in life except his own ego, while Raman has a family of 9+ people to motivate and carry him through the darkest of times.

Romi: Has he really learned from his mistake yet? Can't tell, but he has understood the depth and value of family. As the baby of the house, he was pampered, but now he's been ostracized and is constantly on the verge of breaking down. [Hopefully he can channel his anger at the right target - Shagun].

Adi: Being burdened with the responsibility of a lazy mother can take a toll on any child, but Adi also took on the burden on learning that his father was unemployed (albeit temporarily). For him to reach out to Romi today spoke volumes to me.

Two lonely and wayward Bhalla men coming together and finding comfort in each other is precious. Both are carrying heavy burdens on their shoulders: for Adi, it's his sense of belonging & for Romi, it's his secret. Without actually sharing the source of their burden, Romi & Adi found some peace and acceptance twice now with the direct/indirect help of Ishita.

Even though their lives are currently in shambles, the Bhalla men will come out stronger and better than ever from this!

----
I can't wait for everyone (especially Shagun & Adi) to find out just where Raman's new job is...😆

With regards to everything else happening in this show...it's decently enjoyable.😊

I skipped Raman being tortured by Ashok-Suraj scenes. It was his decision to sacrifice his self respect and go work for that leech, it's my decision to not watch him being insulted every minute!

Adi showed some serious improvement tonight and I'm happy that Ishita's helping Romi out; there was none who could or would help him in this situation.

Ishita looked gorgeous in that white blue saari!
