It was such a cute scene...where Ishita heard Shagun talking over the phone, and then spoke to Ruhi...they added Adi's name too...to the project...It looked so awwwiiie...when Ruhi simply nodded her head..and walked up to Adi...pulled his hand gently and got him to stand beside her...The examiner came strolling and POORE CLASSROOM MEIN usko Ruhi ka project hi accha laga (yeah, yeah, just the way Ishita won Mamma race a few weeks ago YHM mein Ishita, Raman, Ruhi, Adi kabhi koi haarta hai?)...
Anyways..The examiner halted right in front of them, and asked Ruhi..'Yeh Kiska project hai?" Its so CLEARLY WRITTEN that its her project...And she's standing IN FRONT OF THE PROJECT..Why would you STILL ask the kid? Anyway, Ruhi very cutely responded, ""Mera hai Sir...aur mere Adi bhaiyya ka hai"
"Project kisne banaya?"
"Dono ne Sir" I feel like HUGGING Ruhi tight and doing a Googly-WooglyWoosh on hr cheeks everytime she smiles or says her dialogues...🤗
But what followed next, left me rolling my eyes...MANJULIKA-stye
The project had 'Ruhi Bhalla & Aditya Bhalla' written on it...Adi looked nervous...and very very hesitant...For ONCE, he wasnt looking DOWN on anybody..no sneer, no such victory look spread across his face...He thanked Ruhi...She asked him to thank her Ishima instead...He really looked..waht? Shame-faced, I guess...
Of course..since this is a SHOW...and the characters can do NO WRONG and are all heroes and heroines in EVERY SCENE..Ruhi and Adi were declared the winners of the Swacch Bharat Program...I was thinking during the prize distribution ceremony - Free free mein dekho medal aur TROPHY tak mil gayi!! How LUCKY Adi is!😛 Anyway, in minutes the hosts at the podium called for 'the parents of Ruhi and Aditya Bhalla'..
Ishita walked up...and so did SHAGUN...SUCH A SHAMELESS WOMAN...SHE was going to PAY someone else to get the project done...and she had the gall to go walk up to the stage..SICK... "Dekha...maine kaha tha naa..ki tu hi jeetega...Happy?" she even purred in Adi's ears...
Adi didnt look happy or deserving of the medal/trophy AT ALL...Then smething happened that shocked me out of my wits...
"Excuse me Miss...aap kabse meri tareef kar rahe hain...lekin yeh proj maine nai banaya...yeh sara proj Ruhi ne akele banaya...Ruhi ne mujhe bachane ke liye mera naam add kar diya...main yeh trophy nai le sakta Ma'am...Im sorry"
Shagun looked like she accidentally added too much vinegar in her noodles...Ishita looked like she just had rose petals strewn on her head AGAIN...Well...I was EN-ROUTE to feeling ALMOST TOUCHED...But then I thought - it was, How MUCH of a hurry are the CVs in?? I mean...WHY CANT TAKE THEY TAKE IT A DAY AT A TIME? SLOW, BABY STEPS...Make the transition of their characters GRADUAL...and SEAMLESS?? Anyway, I ws still okay till that bit...since it seemed Ishita had started rubbing off on Adi in a way she couldnt, even for Raman...
But what followed next, left me rolling my eyes...MANJULIKA-stye
The examiner then clapped his hands and gave a GARISH, LOUD SPEECH...BADLY-DELIVERED MORAL SCIENCE LESSON...It COULD've been a subtle beautiful scene between Ishi-Ru and Adi...WHY DID THEY HAVE TO TURN IT INTO A MORAL SCIENCE CLASS?? They all applauded Adi's 'Imaandari' and 'Sacchai' and Ishita told him she was proud of him and had an affectionate head-butt moment with him...Adi WAS SMILING...Wow...And Shagun looked like she had hot coal stuffed in her mouth...Angry and EXTREMELY JEALOUS, She dragged Adi away from the semi Kabhi-Khushi-Kabhi-Gham moment and walked away...
Wahan, Raman had a spat with the MD...he kept saying sorry but the MD said it was all because of Raman's overconfidence..."I will turn this around...Main doosra contract le aayunga" Raman offered genially...Raman told him that even he's worked hard for the company's success...Somewhere down the line he even said, "Yeh company mujhe mere father-in-law ne khairat mein nai di thi" The MD saw red when Raman said this... "Toh ab tumhen mere kaam karne ke tareeke se bhi prob hai?"Well...Raman IS HOT-HEADED and I can get where he's coming from...He's apologizing and the MD seems hell-bent on being mean to him...
But then, the MD decides he's going to hand over the project to someone else..."Tum aaram karo..you take rest...main yeh project kisi aur ko de dunga" he says...
I was glad Raman held his own against the MD and quietly left the scene...DIGNITY intact..The MD started churning his brains and callED Mihir to his cabin...Faffed about how its high time the company think about promoting Mihir and designating BIGGER responsibilities on him...Well, its a GOOD CHANCE for Mihir...to stay engaged and forget the nutcase Mihika..But its apparent that the MD is purposely pitting Mihir against Raman...I guess, he wants to create the usual senior-junior ego clashes between the two...
Now, we'll see some OFFICE POLITICS in YHM...I hope it doesnt escalate to Raman-Mihir becoming SWORN ENEMIES or someting😔
Poor Raman, he walked back home...heavy-hearted and tensed...really upset...Sr. Bhalla caught him at the dining table itself, asking him about how the presentation went...Everybody is so confident that Raman would be able to handle everything...Poor him...sometimes I feel bad for him...Again, talks about Rinki's marriage ensued...Since Sr.Bhallas has made all the necessary enquiries about Rinki's 'CANEDA wala rishta', Bhalla ji suggests they get the roka done right when they come down to meet Rinki...Raman is not agreeable to this suggestion...
I hope aise hi Canada-wanada ke chakkar mein Rinki ki life bhi Simmi ki tarah kharab na kar de Bhallas! He says he's worried about Simmi's life...there was some talk about using up all his savings for Rinki's wedding...since Raman is already taking care of all other expenses on the home front...Raman says there would be no need to deplete his retirement savings..and says he will take care of all of it...Bhalla ji sighs about how he was also expecting Romi to be responsible and contribute in the domestic expenses...ROMI, coincidentally hears Bhalla ji saying that...leaves teary-eyed..Raman bechara assures his dad he would take care of everything and finishes with, "Mera chhota bhai ek na ek din sudhar jaayega Papa"
Toshi ji is beyond herself...Adi ki tareef mein..."Mera pota kitna saccha hai...kitna accha hai"
'Chahe koi kuch bhi sikha de...hamara Adi hamara hi rahega" Simmi joined in...
In the meanwhile, Simmi asks Ishita to go share the news with Raman...
Ishita marched in...happy and excited...chirping and ready to shoot off on the day's occurrences...But is unceremoniously cut off by Raman...who started yelling at her..."Tumhare paas aur koi kaam nai hai kya yaar? Jab dekho bad bad bad bad...Behes karti rehti ho"
Im not angry with Raman...it happens all the time..when we're in a bad mood and want the earth to prolly swallow us up..we seem to be in NO MOOD to listen to even GOOD STUFF...Poor Ishita...her doe eyes welled up with tears...and sniffing heavily..she ran off to Ruhi's room...by the time she reached Ruhi's room she had burst out crying... Ruhi had just returned home from school
"Kya hua Ishima, aap ro kyun rahe ho?"
"Kuch nai beta...aapko kisne bataya ki main ro rahi hun?"
"Aapki eyes"🤗 Roo says it so simply...so simply...and it sounds like music to my ears...I really want to have a kid like her...she is so understanding and perceptive of her mother's feelings
"Ishima...Papa ne aapko kuch bola?" "Nai beta...Papa ne kuch nai kaha"

"Papa se kuch mat poochna...Papa abhi tension mei hain" She asked him to freshen and get ready for lunch...And yet...Ruhi ran off to her father's room
" Aapne meri Ishima se kya kaha? Aap jaante hain aaj school mein kya hua" Then the flashback of the whole day was narrated Rooo-style... "Ishima toh aapko surprise karna chahti thi...aur aapne unhe daant diya? AAPKI KISI KI BAAT NAI SUNTE HO...AAP BAD PAPA HO...NAI AAPKO ISHIMA KO SORRY BOLNA PADEGA..CHALO ABHI" I ALMOST EXPECTED Raman to yell at her...but despite last night's fiasco, he listened to her patiently and was happy to know Adi said sorry to his wifey...Ruhi then took Raman to her room and shut the door from outside...
"Sorry...Mood thoda kharab tha...sara gussa tumpe utaar diya" Raman approached his crying wife gingerly..
"Kyun kharaab tha mood?"
"Waise Thank You""Thank You kisliye?" Ishita asked
"Jo tumne Adi ke liye kiya...USKE LIYE"
"Adi badal raha hai...He's changing for the good...uske iss badlaav ke liye..Thank You"
"Tum jab aise acchi acchi baatein karti ho...toh By God..dil mein acchi wali feeling aati hai" Why does Ishita have to be SOO MODEST all the time? Cant she just smile and let the compliments flow towards her?😉 Anyway, dono ke beech mein kuch batein hui..and AS USUAL...Mujhe Raman ki kuch batein samajh hi nai aayi😔 I think Im going deaf...Anyway, Raman apparently asked her what he could to make up to her
"Yahan khade hoke ek taang pe DUS BAAR SORRY BOLIYE" Ishita teased him
Raman did that for a bit... "Main tumse baad mein itne sorry bulwaunga...tum dekh lena"
"Tab tak mera Adi bada ho gaya hoga"Ishita responded, the sniffs gone...MERA ADI?? Wow...that's REALLY soon
"Filhaal toh naa Ruhi hai..Na Adi hai.." He caught her in an embrace...glanced at the door to confirm it was locked or not...and placed both his arms around her neck...Mauke pe chauka maarta rehta hai Raman...Ishita uske INTENTIONS kab samjhegi?/😉 Ek aur baar Raman drawer mein cond^&* kyun nai rakh deta??😆 The romancing couple broke apart, only when Toshi ji called out to ISHITA..
Shagun has NO SHAME AT ALL.. "Mamma ko iss tarah hurt karne ki kya zaroorat thi Adi? Sab school mein yahi sochenge ki Im a bad mother" HOW IS IT ABOUT HER IZZAT, HER IMAGE, WHEN SHE DIDNT EVEN LIFT A FINGER FR ADI'S PROJECT?
"Sari mehnat Rruhi ne ki thi Mom...Agar main saara credit le leta...toh main KAISA bada Bhaiyya hota?"
"Aap hi toh kehti hai hamesha...ki Ishita Aunty ne aapka ghar, aapki family, aapki beti sab kuch chheen liya..Usi tarah...Woh tareef...woh credit..saara Ruhi ka tha...main kaise chheen leta"
Shagun walked off huffily...
"Im sorry Mamma...Magar jo sach hai woh sach hai" Okay, THIS WAS TOO MUCH...I can digest Adi behaving like a NORMAL 12 yr old...but I cant digest THESE OTT dialogues coming from him...They sounded like the moral science class was wrapped up in Sacchai and all...Sounded as odd as the ones Ruhi mouths...when she speaks WAYY OLDER THAN HER AGE..
Anway, Shagun should just be glad...that Adi didnt throw it in her face, "Mamma...aap toh ghode gadhe bech ke so rahi thi...party kar rahi thi...atleast mujhe ek science project MILA TOH SAHI...warna munh chhupane ko jagah nai milti...classroom already itna bhara-bhara tha"😆
PRECAP - Mihir has been chosen for the project...and before leaving, he's come to meet Raman .. " Iss project ke baare mein aapse behtar aur kaun jaanta hai...Main aapko phone karta rahunga Bhai...' Raman wishes him luck..and understands that its the MD's ploy to get back at him
Now, how HE handles this..is left to see

We are so FEARFUL and EXPECTANT of the CVs churning out MINDLESS DRAMAS ensuing from the slightest friction possible..that we immediately linked Raman's loss of tender to his distant relationship with his daughter...Bilkul ULTA HUA...Ruhi ne toh Raman ki BAJA DI...Ruhi Pakka SHERNI HAI...Jiyonda reh Ruhi puttar...Jiyonda reh😛
