"No one is ever quite ready; everyone is always caught off guard.
Parenthood chooses you.
And you open your eyes, look at what you've got, say "Oh, my gosh,"
and recognize that of all the balls there ever were,
this is the one you should not drop.
It's not a question of choice."
Marisa de los Santos

An episode about different shades of parenting.

Yes the anniversary celebration came to an abrupt end as the CVs were in a hurry to open the next track.

I think the track really shifted gears to facilitate Adi and Ishita bonding; prepping Adi to be folded into the Bhalla family and so we see a much normal Adi compared to the one with criminal instincts. It's either the football camp was a character building camp or Logic has gone again to tel lene.

Finally Romi is paying for his past deeds in a way that when he's no more the spoilt brat of Bhalla siblings, yet he's still ostracized by his own family as sort of a non-entity. Romi is understanding the meaning of Karma is a b*. And Toshijee is again in her pushing agenda avatar..why is it so important to get a girl married when she's already pursuing her education?

So again we're standing at another cross road of Ishita v Shagun as parents..And we know what's going to happen tomorrow at the exhibition. Again I think the CVs are revisiting the FL Mahan Abhiyan. No problem so long they don't turn Raman back to side character as often the tendency has been of late. During Ruhi custody track they never kept Raman out of the loop...as close as Ishita and Ruhi was getting...they kept the focus on Raman and Ruhi's relation too. Adi and Raman have still a fractured bond and more than Ishita Adi I would have preferred Raman re-emerging in Adi's life as the primary parent. Maybe it's too early to pass a judgment. I just hope Raman-Adi bonding is not put as secondary.

Raman, Ruhi's reactions to the file deletion was normal...Raman is the CEO of a company and that file deletion put not only him but his entire company in jeopardy. Well we can talk about some technicalities about file recovery from recycling bin...but I can look the other way as it's not a major blooper. And Ruhi being a 7 year old, was obviously scared after Papa's rebuke. One thing I didn't like was Ishita telling Ruhi that Papa is unavailable to help her with project, the night before. Well she's a professional woman herself she ought to know sometimes grown up deadlines really take over and Raman didn't have much of a choice in there.

Talking of choices...So Shagun is all about outsourcing when it comes to actual process of parenting. Why am I not surprised? She outsourced Adi to boarding school when she needed and looks like she's used to outsourcing school projects to others too.

RKB is looking at some rough waters at professional front and guess who were there to enjoy it? I really am hoping Ashok rattles RKB with his taunts tomorrow...I enjoy that more than his "Mihika" jaap.

An episode which didn't have Ishra moment but was ok nonetheless.

Haven't watched the episode thoroughly but here are my quick points...
  • Looks like they are trying to undo the damage of criminal Adi, which is good and way more relatable. I just wish Raman was given a larger role in bringing Adi back to the Bhallas.
  • I hope this track of Raman's office tensions isn't stretched like gum and goes down the stereotypical route.
  • So far - the build up of this office track is relatable, because we often do express our office/school frustrations on our loved ones.
  • There's so much potential to this track - hopefully it shows the reemergence of RKB the shrewd businessman. I'm getting tired of Bheegi Billi Raman at work. I want the regular presence of the smart businessman who's CEO of the year, President of the Delhi Entrepreneur's Association, & Head of the Asian Business Group. I hope the CVs haven't forgotten in a jiffy that they gave him all these respectable titles!

Finally opened yayyy..
Thanks for opening ..
i liked the episode...its something Nice change to watch on Tv

Edited---

Episode Found Interesting one to watch ..Many changes taking place...i liked this change...
its Neither OTT but its something Normal...Looked Nice change to watch...

Liked changes cv's made in Hndling Adi's track now..it made him look more a child..even gave the char of shagun which is more about herself that related to Adi ..that's how always she ws...
liked the changes this Like him thanking to Ishita...
Raman coming to Iyer house looking for Ishu..watching her taking care of Adi...
Liked Raman's Monologue where a father talk about mother of his children... " bacho ke liya tumhara pyaar hi mera gift hai... " they r end of day where they started there journey with a mother & father...
Raman getting busy with office work & Ishu getting busy with Ruhi liked that scene something ws very real touch to this scene...It often happen husband-wife r so much caught up with work looking after children & husband busy with work that they couldnt end up giving time for each -other
But Only regret on this ws they could have another day for this to show...but maybe a small talk or goodnight moment they bought in to give a nice end to Anniversary...

how Raman had to face a problem due to children created a small issue ...i liked a realism...it does happen something gets spoiled due to child...I liked that scene in anger due to work father ends up saying such a way...how Raman shouted on Ruhi though that little gal is so afraid of her past that smallest of moment like this makes her scare that her father will stop talking to her...

i liked this Office track on Raman's side issue he had to face... i liked the attempt of cv's took showing an official related issues faced by men on the work front...

i too liked this change on Raman's side sequence which well highlighted.. not going in deep detailing of his position as there is no point somethings r to be ignored reasoning taken as fiction..sometimes they r normal problem does arise...its something serious attempt cv's did on Tv for 1st i saw otherwise always offices r takes as romance places or couples meeting place...
how Raman is honest & dedicated to work...his project getting spoiled..not attempting something on time does raises brows..as there r people like ashok dont leave chance to make mistake...that what Raman did with hard-work shaken Ashok.
Going By precap dunno it will long track coming up or it will a small glitch for Raman to face on career front..but when cv's made this boss enter & made Raman behave like this..so there maybe something more...
If it goes with more Raman had to face more issues like this..this one is one of small slowly slowly r going come-up...
after that some maybe issues of job comes into picture just my thought would Like if he sets up his own company...but i hope cv's keep normal that its normal to lose a job & set-up own rather Ott stuff ( than its a thought of mine)
As cv's have kept the biggest enemy or competitor of Raman is Ashok..i think Ashok owns a Company...It would Interesting Raman stand up as hardcore business-man setting up his own..its always shown its Raman's hardwork & dedication set his own standards..

---Ashok & param char r more today Looked like bitchy Aunties Who don't have any other work to do other than gossiping about others... 😆

Today's episode was nice... Adi and Ishita's bonding... Fresh and new... This time, Adi stayed silent... He didn't give Shagun a chance to manipulate by letting her know that Ishita brought that food... This kid is yearning for love... He wants to be taken care of but he's forced to take care of Shagun... Poor kid...
Raman's career at stake... Due to a small mistake... This epi had its own share of bloopers but the issue was realistic... Kids are like that... Its too early to comment on this track...Dunno how this'll move ahead...

Romi's loneliness... This time, he was manipulated... He is being punished for those mistakes that he has committed in the past... Good that Ishita didn't go behind him to solve the mystery... But, Romi will soon be of some use...

Apart from that, today's epi didn't have much... Waiting for upcoming episodes...

I watched it the episode and apart from a few scenes I missed the emotional connect.
I am going to be short and precise because real life needs my attention right now.
I liked:

  • I liked the realism of the scene between Raman, Ishita and Ruhi. Often times due to stress parents end up yelling at children and invariably yelling at their spouse as well, stress at work is common and it does lead to some unsavory moments at home. I like that YHM is exploring real issues that affect real folks. I also liked show Raman had to prioritize and choose work over kid because that happens a lot and can cause friction between a couple. This track has a lot potential, I hope they do it right and chances of romance are endless in this situation. 😳 #One track mind #Once fangirl always a fangirl
  • I also liked how they are showing that Raman is getting affected at work now that he has a family that he likes to spend time with. Earlier he was just focused on work but now he is trying to be a good father and a good husband while balancing work which isn't a easy feat. It's very difficult to strike a balance between family and work, the struggle is real for RKB and I wanna see how he manages to come out of this one. This has the potential of exploring gender roles in a marriage and the societal expectations of man vs woman at home and at work. I do not speculate on future tracks but if they were to show puttar losing his job, it would be interesting to see how the dynamic changes between puttar and missus. #Puttar can't have it all #I still wanna jump him
  • I liked that they are showing natural bonding between Adi and Ishita, it doesn't seemed forced and I for one appreciate that. My heart went out to Adi sleeping like a homeless kid on the sofa. #Puttar's jigar ka tukda is my jigar ka tukda

What I would have loved to see:

  • Ishita and Raman just got back from their anniversary 'celebration', is it too much to expect a husband-wife spend some quality time in the privacy of their bedroom. May be cut a small cake together, or share some ice-cream or just talk to each other sweet nothings, you know the typical pillow talk.
  • Would have loved to see puttar talking to missus about how good she is with kids even with a difficult child like Adi and then maybe bring up the topic of babies again, I am not saying they should have kids but it's a important conversation to have nonetheless.
  • Would have loved to see Ruhi insisting on sleeping with her parents and both the parents trying ways to make her sleep in her own room, I know wishful thinking but these kinds of moments would have been great post the anniversary celebration that wasn't!

RES... to taking the a moment and observing- at the moments that matter, at the things you missed out on and at the l moments you never thought you'd miss.

----EDIT----

G... your collage is looking awesome- looks like KP has finally gotten some rest, he looks os much fresher and on point then he did during the Lohri episode. Back to being our drool worthy RKB at his best. *sigh*

And your post, honestly one of my faves that you've written - you really touch on some very important points- terrific job!

Going into the episode I had a little more expectation regarding the way that the way they ISHRAnniversary would be wrapped up- the wrapping up of that little part felt a little stunted. I suppose I expected a little more from the CVs considering how smart they are about introducing and seamlessly integrating tracks but...it was okay.

The scene with Adhi was nice and natural though my favorite part was Raman observing it and his little comment. It's kind of funny when you think about it- they both gifted each other something that they thought the other wanted/ would appreciate... but in the end the real anniversary gifts that they gave to each other were the intangible ones which confirmed their own worth in the other's eyes and made them realize their own value.

At the clinic, with his words, thoughtfulness and overtures Raman made it perfectly clear the value Ishita has for him and in his life. He told her all she was for him and what a difference he has made in his own unique manner. She brought him to life, made him live- made him everything he is , everything she fell in love with.

Yesterday Ishita gave Raman the gift of knowing that he completed her- once and for all she made it clear to him that he is the one that makes the difference for her- he is the one that completes her, the one that makes her her - the woman he loves is who she is only because of him. And by this too the CVs are giving a message a message to the viewers as well- it's a subtle but very clear message: the sirf Ruhi ke liye chapter of this marriage, of this family, is over for good once and for all- it's now it's sirf ISHRARU ke liye.. and what a way to spread the message.

And today, today, Ishita gave Raman the second part of his gift- the gift of being witness to the unending depth of her love, of her maternal instinct. Her love for the child that constantly doted on her was the reason for their marriage and it ended yesterday... and today RKB witnessed her love for the child that constantly rejects her love , and he was yet again given proof of the depth of goodness of the woman he loves- the woman he now knows he completes. And just like her innate caring nature brought RKB to his senses and into the warmth of her love, so will it do to his son. That's the knowledge of that scene for him, that's the gift. And because she was not awe of his presence it also stands to confirm that everything she told him in that hotel room about not needing another child that their life and child(ren) are enough because she already is a mother, was the complete truth. He gave her a the possibility of motherhood in that hotel room and then came home to witness her exert her maternal instinct over his son- in effect adopting yet another of his children into her heart. Yes, he has seen her overtures before as well- but this scene at that back of that conversation, it is significant.

I did, however, think that it would have been nice if Raman and his family could have seen Shagun's return but I suppose it's important that for now only Ishita is privy to Adhi's protective nature... She knows how much he cares for his mother and maybe this will lead to her realizing the extent to which Adhi has been manipulated by Shagun against the Bhallas as well as herself. If that is what awaits us, I shall forgo my complaint about RKB's blindness to the situation... if only for awhile.

I also really loved the little instance with Romi, standing by and watching as life goes on around him- for once his mother, his once strongest ally, is also holding strong... hopefully this leads to Romi finally breaking out of the fear of his truth and finally taking charge and responsibility of his own life and decisions. The scene was very minuscule but it was also significant as he sees the indirect consequences of his actions (which are usually forgiven) on his sister and Bhabi as well as realizes the preciousness of being locked out of the little moments in life that he always took for granted.

As for the ISHRARU scene, I can't say much more or much better then you all have. It was natural and beautiful and gave me the ISHRARU moment I have been craving so I am happy. Personally I thought it was weird that Ru wasn't seen interacting with ISHRA on the anniversary episodes because she is the one that brought them together so I am glad that at least at that end of their anniversary day we got that scene.

The scene at the office was realistic , though it really made me miss the real RKB. Hopefully this track will lead him to leaving the company and his bipolar boss and starting in a new venture on his own. Not only will that give us our RKB but will also bring about issues about finances and struggle... perhaps adding another reason to Shagun finally leaving the Bhalla-Iyer fold. #I'll take any reason #Just get her out

On that note I have one thing to say about seeing RKB at his RKB-est, before he had that encounter with his boss:

#Hey good lookin

A beautiful collage again Gan!
A decent episode. A few things I liked a few things I was miffed with.
Things I liked- The scene between Ishita and Adi was played out very well, a very natural progression. I still cannot forget Adi's misdemeanors- I hope they show him feeling guilty for them at least. He has not once apologized to the person who he almost killed even though she has given him a place to stay in her house i.e. Mrs.Iyer. Again, they showed the difference between two mother's. Ishita was helping Ruhi with her project while shagun brushed Adi off and outsourced his project.

Raman-Ruhi-Ishita scene was very realistic as well. I liked it. My Mom has removed her anger on me innumerable times when I have done silly things that cost her when I was young. So it was believable.

What I did not like:
Things were too abrupt. Was it the same night or a different one? if a different one then how come a CEO like RKB did not have a career changing presentation prepared and discussed at least a couple of days in advance, especially considering the day before the important ppt was supposed to be his 1st anniversary. Ruhi was asleep- suddenly woke up and spent half the night doing her project. It all looked disjointed- Probably because KP and DT shot at different times since they were busy with the valentine's day stuff- so forgiven. Just hope that CV's keep RKB's sudden office problems realistic. I prefer watching office issues rather than watching Bimbo on my screen the whole time.

P.S- Had a bad day in lab today, so might have come across as too negative or abrupt. Your collages, aruna's gifs, and the posts by all you wonderful ppl on the thread always improve my mood Gan. So Thank you all!!

I thought there were far too many things happening today- and nearly all seemed hyper- right from Ruhi, ishita, Toshi, Raman, Rinki, Romi etc... It was a HYPEPISODE😆
Ishita has been pulled by Adi ( she is understanding that the poor kid ( cant imagine I wud call him a poor kid lol) needs some love and attention ie parental love). She has been warned by Toshiji to get Rinki to agree to see the boy. She has been pulled in by Ruhi for the project. She cud see Romi lonely and wanted to talk to him...phew. Then RKB's boss also got hyper due to the deleted ppt. A CEO creates a huge ppt and does not save it at all??? and goes to sleep?

So essentially to keep ishita busy so that she does not find Romi's truth and the Cvs can prolong Shagun in the house track... I guess the Rinki and Romi will both explode at the same time and Adi will chose Ishita over Shagun, sos he can be free once and for all to do her other show...

Still no laptop, so ignore the lack of sense (not that I make much usually), punctuation and gifs/emoticons.

Coming to the episode - kind of a downer after the emotional high of the past episode. No touching scenes or anything with real depth as far as the three main characters are concerned.

Raman's anger, Ruhi's tears and Ishita's consoling - almost seemed like a complete flashback to correctly a year ago.
However, Raman is far more empathetic, Ishita understands him far better and there was some maturity in the fight, so there's the silver lining. Also, there was a sort of realism - all of us have been shouted at by our parents for messing up their work or just something important. Ruhi and Raman's relationship nuances could be explored to depth in this track - not much hope but #sometimes magic happens #happy to be surprised.
Adi and Ishita scene was touching in a more subtle way. Starting from the beginning when Adi mistakes Ishita for his mother and she corrects him - almost a symbolism for the kid's life, wasn't it? The one he considers his mother, his everything, is someone whose love stands to be conditional while Ishita worries and cares about him as if he were her own. One day, hopefully in the near future, Ishita will correct his wrong beliefs too.
As a general rule of thumb, Adi isn't my favorite character. But today we saw the same kid I felt for the first time - the one who cries with and consoles his mother when she is broken after her sangeet ceremony. Unconditionally supporting his mother in front if whom he considers an outsider. On some level, as a kid who has seen so much and done so much evil, it doesn't resonate with his character that he fails to see his mother's shortcomings, he rather simply ignores them and dons rose colored glasses. But today or tomorrow he will have to take them off and come to terms with her actual priorities. Shagun does not lack in love for Adi, she lacks in giving him the correct place in her life. As an answer to someone's question on this thread - no, Shagun does love Adi in her own way, but her materialistic needs take a forefront when it comes to being a real mother. In her own convoluted way, she is possessive about both her kids, but when it comes to choosing between them and her wants, she chooses the latter. Which is where she fails - examples in yeaterday's post of mine.

Back to the episode - Adi's address of Ishita with respect and the faltering thank you was probably the only scene that spoke today. It set the tone for their relationship's future - Ishita is going to always put the breadcrumbs for their relationship and it's onto Ado to either grasp it with eagerness like he did the food today or be slightly confused and hesitating to do so as he was with his gratitude. Either way, these two are going to move on in a positive direction if today is anything to go by. #highhopes #optimismFTW #puttar's genes will start working someday

Loads of things happened later on which made little sense on their own but set tunes for the future nusic to be played.
- Ishita-Rinki-Diya of MJHT whose name I don't remember on the show
- Romi's boycott aandolan reaching his breaking point and spilling over of #GKC no more #swimmers have drowned truth
- Raman's office drama which seems abrupt because till yesterday Raman was the decision making authority. Suddenly he is treated like a second-grade employee. #RKB is now Raman Kumar Bechara.

Either way, Ishita is going to be the focus for all these scenarios - as Rinki and Romi's sister-in-law, as Mihir's sister, as Raman's wife, as Toshi's daughter-in-law and Adi and Ruhi's mother. Let's hope they don't mess up her character will clearing up the mess they've made with so many tracks.

I don't understand the lack of IshRa scenes after the whole anniversary thing...which couple just goes to sleep after so much of drama and emotional rollercoasters in a day? I miss the days when we would see the end to each and every day as they slept on the far ends of the room and reflect on their relationship. Not asking them to #getdowntoit, but would a little emotional intimacy in the confines of their bedroom really kill the CVs? #stupidity has a limit.

DT looks lovely in her floral blouses and less glittery sarees. At least to me.

More later because my hands are tored of typing on the phone.

Every point-spot on!

Exactly what I feel too. 😳

I want RKB coming back and giving it back in his style to his competitors. I REALLY hope it doesn't go down the stereotypical Ekta way.

Sigh.
