Morning All- As always amazing collages and nice write-ups. My 1st actual post here, relating to the thread. The episode was good to watch on its own. Very realistic day to day family settings, different emotions. But lacked continuity from the previous episode, if looked at, from that angle.
If Raman did indeed have an important presentation the next day, the honeymoon suite surprise would have been wasted anyway. Irrespective of the Mums barging into the room, Raman himself might have been a 'haddi' to his own Anniversary. Or would he have ignored his project 😉??
Looks like none in the family believes in the saying 'A stitch in time saves nine', which co-incidentally or deliberately was also seen in the school exhibition hall. Neither Dad or his 2 kids. Leaving the kids, Raman should have been well prepared, esp being the CEO and all- Poor Organisational skills (Or was he too pre-occupied with his Biwi and their Anniversary 😳- then such mistakes can be ignored in the reel world). Anyway- these trivialities (also that with 'file' being deleted and cannot be recovered) can be ignored, I guess, when watching a soap.
It was so naturally shown- Ishita and Ruhi (Mum and kid) preparing for the project and Raman (Dad) busy with his own work. Such a normal day to day occurrence, in most of the house-holds (definitely mine). Beautifully shot- esp Ishita appearing to be engrossed in what she is doing.
Though Toshiji appeared pushy, such incidents still happen a lot till date. Esp in the girls families- Parents hate the thought of losing out on a good catch 😒. It was very natural to see Toshiji reacting that way. And it is not shocking either, as she belongs to the old school of GKC. So, why would Rinki's pursuit of her education be important? She is sticking to her character.
What I didn't really feel connected to was Ishita's dialogue of 'Main hoon naa'. She is a reasonable, smart, intelligent, educated professional. She of course did try to talk Toshiji out of this marriage issue but I felt she should have tried and persuaded Toshiji more than her attempt in talking to Rinki. But again having said that, maybe theres another angle to it.
Felt bad for Adi. At the end of the day, he is a kid. Yes, of course, a kid who has gone way out of line. But in the first instance he did not ever have proper guidance. He was either over-loved or over-indulged for all the wrong reasons. Guess, the CVs are rushing towards Ishita and Adi bonding before March (as child actors might not be available in March due to exams).
I cannot comment on Raman's office scene too much, as I have no idea how things work in such high positions 😕.
In the whole episode, the scene which caught my heart was that of Raman and Ruhi and Ruhi's (Ruhanika's) reaction to Raman's yelling and anger. So very natural. Ruhanika's acting really deserves an applause 👏. A 6-7 yr old and such wonderful acting. It felt like I was looking at my own daughter (who is 6yrs) and her reactions when she is told off. Tears brimming in her eyes, ready to pour out, her worry about her Dad and his outburst- her fear of the past, which she has not been able to overcome with that dialogue, she said. The fear of rejection- yet again!!! I felt like hugging lil Ruhi 🤗!!
On the whole, a good, natural (almost) episode. I would have liked some light-hearted scenes, but it would have been a bit out of place and then how much can be shown in a 22 min episode?? So, no complaints from my side.
Sorry for the long rant. I tried to cut it short, but have an issue of not being to stop once I start. I apologise for any grammatical/ spelling (auto-corrections) errors.
