My creative story (Updated Chapter 5)

Hi all, I am silent reader on this forum however thought of this story and wanted to pen it down.

I had expected Shagun to return to Bhalla house since day one, however not at all liking the current track. Ishita is supposed to be an independent woman which is not all shown these days. As a career oriented, independent girl shown earlier this was how I would have liked the story to proceed. Hope you all will enjoy.

The story starts since Raman uttered that dialogue of "Ishima banne ka bahut shok hain na". It was also first time Raman noticed that Appa (Mr. Iyer) is facing financial crisis. Immediately, he hires appa in his office as an accountant and asks if he needs money. The story begins now...

Chapter 1

Raman was convincing appa to take money for the renovation of the new building. While convincing him for same, Ishita comes and says to Raman, " Why are you interefering in my family matters? If I am not allowed to interfere in yours, don't ineterfere in mine. Mujhe mere haq ki baat karte ho na, ab kya kar rahe ho? Mere aur mere family ke bare mein mat sochna, apne bte ke bare mein socho."

Appa was appalled and immediately says, "Aisa nahi kehte Ishu, Raman to sirf meri madad kar raha tha."

Ishita replies,"Appa, abhi tak mein zinda hun, inhe fikar karne ki koi jaroorat nahi hain. Raman, please I want to speak with Appa alone."

Raman feels very bad however he knows he deserves this, so goes to a nearby balcony to listen to their conversation. Ishita sits on the bench close to appa and holds his hand. She places his wedding ring on his palm and says "Yehi lene gai thi to thoda late ho gaya aur itne mein Raman aa gaye."

Appa quite angrily, "Tune thik nahi kiya, Ishu. He was just helping me. Aise nahi karte."

Ishita tries to explain," Chodo na, appa. Yeh hamare beech mein rahe to acha hain, nahi to phir se sabko pata chal jayega to woh log nahi chodenge, especially Shagun. Aur phir ek ko pata chal gaya to us ghar mein sabko pata chal jata hain. Lekin mein aap se bohot naraz hun. Aap ne mujhe kyun nahi bataya, appa? Mein kya parayi hun?"

Appa retorts," Aisi baat nahi hai Ishu. Lekin ab tumhari shaadi ho gayi hai. Acha nahi lagta paise lena.. Kya Raman ko pata hai tum mujhe paise de rahi ho? Aise nahi karte Ishu, there shouldn't be any secrecy between husband and wife."

Ishita answers him, "Appa, yeh rule dono ko apply hota hai sirf mujhe nahi. Woh sab jaane do. Aur rahi baat Raman ko kehne ki to unhone kabhi mere salary ke barein mein nahi pucha. Infact, maine bhi nahi. Kabhi jarurat hi nahi padhi. We both are independent, appa. Sirf amma ke waqt paise dete hue dekha tha, lekin tab maine hamare relation ke bare mein kuch aur hi socha tha. Aaj situation same nahi hai. Khair, lets not go there. But still, appa you should have told me. Aaj bhi mujhe problem hoti hai, to pehle aap ke paas hi ati hun. Agar aap meri shaadi beech mein leke aaye toh kya mein bhi apna problem aap ke saath share nahi kar sakti?"

Appa goes quite and replies," Aisa nahi hai Ishu. Its just awkward. Pehle hi ghar mein itne saare problems upar se mein apni leke aaya toh? Acha nahi lagta."

Ishita stops and says " Appa, you are never a problem. Shagun is a problem. Aur aap hi kehte to, ladki aur ladke mein koi farak nahi hota. Isiliye toh mujhe dentist banaya aur akka ko professor. And, look at us, we both are doing great in our careers. Itni himmat di hai hame ki kabhi mehsoos hi nahi hua ki kuch farak. You make us strong, appa. Aur aaj aap hi farak kar rahe ho. Not fair. Yeh lijiye cheque."

Appa takes the cheque but still tries to convince her "Aisi baat nahi hai, Ishu. I wanted to solve it myself. Kabhi kisi se bhi paise nahi liya maine. Aaj bhi hichkichahat hoti hai."

Ishita calmly gives her point of view." Appa, this is the least we can do. I owe you everything. Mujhe itna sa bhi nahi karne doge. Aur paise kis liye kama rahi hun. Mere family ke liye aur aaj aap use nahi karoge to kya fayda career banake. You are my hero, appa. Aur paise lene se aap hero hi rahoge. Take it, appa. Aur amma aur Vandu akka ko mat batana. Amma pehle hi pareshan hai aur Vandu akka pregnant. Lets keep it between us. Yaad hai jab humare secrets hote the aur Vandu akka jalti thi hum pe. Yeh bhi vaise hi."

Appa laughs. "You always supported me and never complained. Meri sabse achchi bachchi. Lekin itne paise mile kaha se?"

Ishita has tears in her eyes when she tries to explain. "Woh Mihika ke shaadi ke liye save kiye the. Yaad hai, she always wanted the big fat wedding. Socha tha chitti ki help kar dungi tabhi. Par ab jaroorat nahi hai to aap use kar lo. Aur chahiye to bolo and enjoy karo. Yehi time hai enjoy karne. Pehle aapne khudke parents' ki suni, bad mein amma ki and then we joined too. Aaj aap ki bari. Enjoy your life, appa. Kuch to fayda hoga mere daanto ke dukaan ka."

Appa amused to hear this phrase. " Daanto ka dukaan? Who says that? Oh... Raman.. you miss him, don't you? Maaf kar do use, Ishu. He just gets confused and emotional when it comes to Adi. He just doesn't want to lose him again. Iske liye hyper ho jata hai aur kuch bhi kehta hain. He doesn't mean it."

Ishita "It's not easy, appa. Pata hai he doesn't mean but it still hurts. Everytime. Hamesha sochti hun shayad hamara relation aage badh raha hai and I get so happy. Aur hamesha woh mujhe meri jagah dikha dete hain. Pata nahi mein kyun expect karti hun? But still... Mujhe kehte hai Adi apni jagah aur meri jagah alag hai. Maine hi samajh ne mein galati kardi. Shayad mujhe hi pata nahi chala, meri jagah kya hai aur kuch alag expect karne lagi. I don't know. Meri sochne ki takat khatam ho gayi hai ab. It's ok. I am accepting it now. Aap bhi chod do."

Appa tries to cheer her up. "Yaad hai, when you were 15, tumhe date pe jana tha Valentine day pe aur tumhare saath koi nahi tha. Kitna jhagda kiya tha tumne Vandu ke saath taki who tumhe leke jaye. Lekin who chali gayi aur tum apne kamrein mein ro rahi thi."

Ishita brightens "Of course! Aur aap mujhe leke gaye the date pe. Mujhe film dikhayi aur phir mere favourite restaurant. My first and the best date till today. Kabhi nahi bhulungi. You always made me feel special."

Appa smiles listening. "Aaj chalogi phir se date pe? Mein leke jaunga. Woh naya Thai place hai na GK-2 mein. Romy keh raha tha bohot acha hai. Aaj chale.. Amma bhi nahi hai."

Ishita immediately responds while thinking loudly." Yes! I am so glad. You are the best. Mein change karti hun. Aap bhi kar lo. Smart lago, appa. That place is really nice. Lekin baad mein kulfi mere taraf se. Ruhi ko patana padega. Who fir se zid karegi humare saath aane ka. Pata lungi nahi toh who humare saath ayegi, appa."

Appa approves. "Done. Chal tayyar ho jao. Mein bhi apne kaam nipta leta hun. Ishu, thanks once again. Kehte hai, a son is a son until he takes a wife, but a daughter is a daughter for the rest of your life.' You always prove that right. Thank you so much, beta. Chalo chalo, jaldi chalte hai.."

They both leave from there not noticing Raman behind them. He wishes Ishita can come to him and not go to her father but is never able to do it. Raman again feels helpless but was still happy to see smile on Ishita's face after few days. Vowing never to repeat his mistake, he follows them back slowly. The moment he reaches home, he feels lighter. He sees Ishita exchanging words with Shagun but unable to hear them.
