RES...because it's not about the race it's about taking a stand and making sure your roar is heard!
---EDIT---
Firstly G I agree
watching the episode, until our beautiful RKB's *sigh* entrance...
But I can appreciate the race for the point of it. Yes it's lazy writing with a much too obvious plan (which will probable be overheard soon-ish) that once again reverts smart characters into ones that the dumber then a box of rocks and supposed maniacal villans into oblivious ones over night but atleast it's a real hint that this torture is almost over.
The starting bell at the beginning of the race is a sign ladies & gents:

Now obviously the end of this track necessitates the beginning of the 'healing with Adhi' track... but hopefully we get a little respite before that picks up. 🤢
Maybe that's why we're focussing on Romi now? And Appah? And Bala?
On that note where or where has the fashionable Ms. Raina Singh disappeared? I think she and Shagun might be sisters from other misters.😉
Whatever the case, the way I choose to approach this race is to look at it as a sign that Ishita is standing hehind her words to Shagun and is no longer going to let her manipulate ownership over
anything- be it big or small.
Ofcourse winning this race means nothing , despite what Shagun apparently thinks, being a few seconds faster on your feet does not cement your value as a mother, wife or DIL. But what it shows is that Ishita has reached her limit and is going to go about taking back her life. Yes she should have done this long ago, preferably with the earrings or at the very least New Years..but she didn't.
And this is truly a trivial matter, but it matters to her because it matters to Ru. And that's the other important point. For Shagun this race is about getting another inch closer into the Bhalla house- for Ishita this is about her daughter's and thereby her family's pride. And that diffrence in value analysis of everything Bhalla and thinking that things hold the same value to Isihta as they do to her is one of the biggest faults in Shagun's game plan.

Ru's love, Ru's feelings and Ru's desires are the thing that brought Ishita into this life and this home and into the arms of the love of her life so of course Ru's pride matters. I think for Ishita this race is less about Shagun and more about her Ru ... the one person that has given her unconditional love and support form the moment they met, and there is no way that Ishita will let her baby down.
So yes it was a bit of a snore-fest until the hawt light shone and our hero made his entrance, but I will put up with it.. for another day.. to see my little princess so proud of her Ishimaa.. and RKB bowled over by his wifey.😳
Ignoring the missing itching powder because of Romi's sudden desire for progeny, I have to say that I was somewhat disappointed with Toshi. Yes I am glad she is back and giving her own to Shagun but I didn't really appreciate her reference of ishita as a step mom. For me that still stings, and it wasn't necessary to go that far to play the game. Because we all heard how much it hurts. And I wish the CVs had some sensitivity. The only thing that exchanged triggered from me was a cringe and a real hope that Toshi and her some have a proper conversation with Ishita once all this is over the likes of which they each had with Ishita on the Bench at their old home. It is necessary. It's not enough, but then I don't know what would be. And I hope the CVs recognize this.
Now the best part of the show... RKB's verbal and visual appreciation of his JKR.
I am seriously waiting for the day this
returns in a much more .. .*ahem* private environment...or at least a situation where the queen of the nonexistent blouse is not in the periphery!☺️
#10 regular episodes until ISHRAnniversary ... and all I want is for Mrs.Bhalla to give her Raavan Kumar a real reason for a double take!😉
