"Stories you read when you're the right age never quite leave you. You may forget who wrote them or what the story was called. Sometimes you'll forget precisely what happened, but if a story touches you it will stay with you, haunting the places in your mind that you rarely ever visit."--- Neil Gaiman
You are one of the authors who manages to write something so well that it captures my heart and stay's memorable. The great stories are the ones you have read and want to read again. The ones you can enter anywhere and inhabit comfortably. They don't deceive you with thrills and trick endings. They don't surprise you with the unforeseen. They are as familiar as the house you live in. Or the smell of your lover's skin. You know how they end, yet you read as though you don't. Just like this "Way back Into Love" was, it make me laugh, and a moment later broke my heart. Each character portrayed in this piece of fiction was too perfection, despite being a girl myself I couldn't help but feel sorry for Raman.
Though, when I first read it I was slightly disappointed with the end (not going to lie), just because I tend to like more of sad endings as oppose to happy one (you must know by now, that I'm a sad soul). But, when I read it again afterwards I couldn't help but think of your point of view whilst, reading the chapter. You wrote it in a way that makes the reader feel empathetic for the poor lovers (yes even Ishita), their conversation had contained all the emotions in one. The use of words and intelligent writing skills contribute and make up for all the disappointment I had. In the end I couldn't help but love it. So basically this chapter slowly but steadily made me fall in love with it. Though, I still would've liked to see her trying to win Raman back... (But, I can probably wait for this in future sometime Inshallah)
Whenever I read something, I always tend to look for quotations that make me fall in love with the story all over again. And guess what, I found some in this chapter:
He held her wrists as he placed his forehead over hers, not finding enough strength to lie anymore. "Because I love you, enough to let you go, ishita."--- Dialogues like these are pure brilliance, it just makes you wanting a guy like Raman in your life. I wish someone did exist like him. Sign.
*"We have been here before and we both know it." She looked away before the fresh tears came tumbling down and she gulped before saying, "Until now I was looking for your flaws to point a finger at you." She met his eyes again and in them she found her reflection of yearning. "if only I knew you were the other half of me and if I punish you, I punish my self."*--- I can't describe how much I just love the way you wrote this, everything is sheer perfection...Kudos to you darling!
"Because that somebody wanted only your love."--- Finally, a confession from Ishita. You've written it so beautifully yet very subtle.
"Mrs. Ishita Raman Bhalla, you are loved by your craziest, idiotic and absolutely incorrigible husband."--- This so much reminded me off John Green, the use of comedy and love combined in this. Simply incredible, seriously.
"A story has its purpose and its path. It must be told correctly for it to be understood." And guess what hun, you are a perfection at creating your imagination and sharing it with all of this. Truly you are amazing, I can't describe how much I've loved the journey of "Way back into Love", it was one hell of a roller coaster ride with various emotions, with each character written to perfection. However, this journey will be truly missed. All the good things must come to an end in the hope that you will outshine once again with your other fiction...
All I can say is and
