She ended the call sadly

Ishita smiled proudly seeing her son care for his parents so much.

Soon Ansh talked to Ishvi and instructed her to come with her mother at the cafe in the noon. Ishvi did so and somehow Ishita and Ansh too went to meet them hiding from Raman.

The engagement was fixed on Raman's birthday and the excitement level was high. They came back home by evening asking Ishvi to join them at shopping the next day.

Ishita though was not convinced but decided to oblige her mother in law. One task was done and now it was time to send phonic invitations to the near dear ones.

After finishing with the whole list she dialed the most problematic yet important guest.

By the time she ended the call; Raman came from behind and wrapped his arms around her.

Raman was not convinced and was about to ask ahead but thankfully Pari came as Ishita's savior.

Ishita and Raman both were answerless at the sudden question.

Pari agreed innocently while Ishita glared at Raman angrily and the trio went down together.

The next three days were very busy for everyone. Ishita, Simmi and Ruhi were running to shop for the engagement. Bhalla Ji who had returned from his outing was given the responsibility to handle the caterers and supervise other arrangements.

Raman knew something was going on behind his back but he didn't poke in his nose. He thought he should let his family rejoice the surprise they were planning for his birthday.

Finally it was the night before his birthday. He knew that his madrasan must have planned something for 12 o clock celebration. Ishita too knew that there was no point acting to forget his birthday.

In their room at around 11.30 PM

And with that both laughed at their silly joke.

Ishita: kaise Pari ke tarah kar rahe ho...ruko na kuch der

Hmm, he said sulking.

Soon clock struck 12 and she pulled him into a hug.

Ishita: Wish you a very very happy birthday Raman...yeh din bhale hi aapka birthday ka din hai par isi din aap mujhe mile the...humne saath mein time spend kiya tha aur jaana tha ki hum ek dusre ke liye bane hain...islie aapse jyada yeh din mere liye khaas hai...I love you

Soon the family too gathered around and wished him birthday and made him cut the midnight cake.

It was not the cake or the gifts that made him happy but seeing his world around him made him feel content.

They were about to lie down but Raman soon realized that there was just one pillow on the bed.

Raman: Arre aaj baaki pillows kahan gaye

Ishita: Haan toh ek hi chahie na...aap pillow pe letiye aur main apne pillow par letungi

Aa jao, he said spreading his left arm on the bed. In no time she rested her head on his left arm and encircled her arms around him. His right arm too circled around her and both embraced themselves in the most relaxing position.

Another year had passed by now. They were living a content life counting the days for their actual union eagerly. He would visit her Delhi randomly to steal some moments together.

More the time was nearing, the desperateness was growing.

It was his birthday that day. She had already surprised him at midnight by getting a cake delivered at his doorstep and they had celebrated the day together on Skype Video Call.

In the morning around 11 AM, that one call changed his life forever.

Raman could not be any happier. He felt he was flying in the air. Appa had unknowingly given him the best gift of his life.

Appa could only laugh seeing the excitement

Soon everyone gathered at Delhi over the weekend. The date of their union was fixed as 2^nd May "Akkha Teej" the most auspicious day for a marriage almost after a month from that day.

Their happiness knew no limitations that day and why not. They had all the reasons to be happy. They had waited for 3 long years to welcome this day.

The same night her watsapp ringed.

She knew now no reply would come and it happened. Directly his call came.

And they both laughed together realizing the reason of their argument.

Raman: Subah Tamil style mein shadi karenge...aur phir raat ko punjabi style mein baraat leke auanga tumhe le jaane ke liye

Ishita: Do do shadi

Raman: till the time I am marrying you I don't mind 1000 shadis as well

Their excitement, happiness, dreams all were coming out from their eyes in form of tears every now and then. And now they eagerly waited for THE day to come.

She only blushed seeing his demand. And they both slept giving each other the gift of love.
