In the days of the good old typewriter shorthand was a necessity. In order to take dictation at the same speed as the boss thinks and speaks. During the world wars Morse code was important to send secret messages. YHM creatives seemed to have been bitten by the nostalgia bug because IshRa romance which is the backbone of YHM is indeed being shown but in short and abbreviated form like shorthand and Morse code. The editing which has with a few exceptions always been blotchy and opposite of sleek now takes the liberty of going one step further. Most of the scenes which do not require physical proximity are shot without one of the lead pairs. Very often it becomes obvious because the execution is not good. The physical proximity scenes are few and last for only a few minutes. There is nothing leisurely or relaxed about their rendering at most times.Everything to do with Ishita and Raman seems encapsulated. Its like dinner being served in the form of pills instead of food. Whereas other incidents concerning the other members of the show are acted out at an even space. What is the problem?
The perennial tiredness of the lead pair very often cracking through the make up.The absence of one or the other in the frames. The small time given them to romance and the viewers to savour. Ofcourse their acting is good but at times the indifference shows.I really hope this show does not get stale and jaded because of lack of action between the lead pair. They need a break alright but also more screen space and footage and this habit of leaving out one or the other from the frame specially during dialogue deliveries where one is supposed to speak more than the other looks so unatural. As if one of them is speaking to the wall.Even while talking on the phone we say ahem ,ya, acha in between in the same way the other person's face should be shown while in conversation specially since the same is not happening in cyberspace but face to face. Creatives please do not take the viewership and TRPs for granted.
