hello forum wasis,

I have been a silent reader of YHM forum for a quite long time. but for the past couple of weeks, a story keeps running in my mind and for some reason I can't get rid of it. It stayed in there. So finally I decided to pen it down, figuratively speaking. I have never written anything fiction in my life. The last time I wrote something creative more than a page long was in high school, an essay in English literature. so please fell free to leave your comments. forgive me for any mistakes

as they say practice makes perfect. and I am hopeful.

Introduction:

Raman Kumar Bhalla: Lives in India. Known to everybody as RKB. He is the youngest CEO in India, has multinational companies. He started out from bottom and now owns multiple businesses and is ranked India's most successful businessman at 30. He is a millionaire but has a heart of gold. Lives with his mother Toshi Bhalla and Father Omprakash Bhalla. He is very close to his mom, shares all of his good and bad times with her. He has a quality of speaking his mind and is ruthless when it comes to business. Raman doesn't liked to be called RKB. He feels that people close to him and his heart calls him and should call him Raman. Being on time is his biggest pet peeve

Ishita Reddy: Lives in San Francisco, US. happily married. Has MBA major in human resources. Had a very troublesome childhood. She has seen her mother suffer after her father was caught having an affair with another woman and left her and her mom to fend for themselves and never returned back. Since then Ishita does not trust any man. She has pushed herself away from any and all man by keeping the images of her mom's sufferings alive in her heart.

All of that changed though when she finished her grad school. She was introduced to two man, one the love of her life and the other her inspiration in her career development. She met Subbu at her grad school. Subbu brought her out of her painful past. He showed her that he loves her and he will never hurt her. As she was finishing her business degree, she was introduced to RKB in her international business class. She aspires to be like him and one day wants to work with RKB. Soon after graduate school, after getting good jobs, Ishu and Subbu got married. Within 6months, Ishita's mother passed away. She was heartbroken, but thankfully subbu was there to hold her and to get her out of her grief.

Toshi Bhalla: a kind hearted, understanding and loving mother. Knows RKB inside out. Can read his thoughts just by looking at him. Always prays to matarani to get a good bahu for her son, who can understand her jalebi like son, a confusing man.

Chapter 1:

One and half years into their marriage, one day Ishita comes home from work all excited and screams, oh my god subbu, an opportunity of lifetime, my dream can come true. But only if you agree.

Subbu asks her to tell him and stop acting like a kid in a candy store.

Ishita tells him that there is a director of HR position open in RKB industries India base. And she would like to apply for it.

Ishita knew that this job will put some physical distance between her and subbu. But she knew that subbu loves her and she loves him .nothing can emotionally separate them. She is also an independent and career driven woman. She in her subconscious mind, somehow wanted to show her father that she didn't, doesn't and will never need him for anything. She can do it all by herself. Go out and make a name for her and her mother.

Subbu knew about ishita being inspired by RKB. He did not have a problem with it because he knew she loves only him.

Subbu always thought that ishita has bigger dream than she can fulfill. So he didn't think she will get the job. He told her that he doesn't have any problem with it.

Little did subbu know, ishita passed her competency interview. And now to the phase two, a panel interview. She will interview with line of senior VPs. Ishita was very nervous. She is so close to working with RKB and learn as much as she can. Her aspiration is to gain enough knowledge by working with RKB and transfer to his US base within two years. That was one of the reason subbu agreed.

Long behold, due to Ishita's vast knowledge and her experience of working in US with a reputed company,, she managed to impress the panel. She is now in the final stages. One more interview, that to with RKB himself. Yes, RKB does take interest in hiring directors for his companies. Since ishita lives in US, it will be a virtual interview.

A day before her interview, her and subbu were talking about what ifs. Since ishita has been selected for the final interview, subbu has been on the edge. He did not want to admit it, but now he feels like an idiot for agreeing with his wife's wish. He underestimated ishita's abilities and her business skills.

Ishita was both nervous and excited. Her whole career depends on this and she will be facetiming with the great RKB himself, her inspiration.
