Chapter 2:

Raman and Ishita's first meeting:

Ishita woke up with a new array of shine and energy. Subbu being a good husband stayed home with her. Plus he also wanted to know about RKB.

After dinner, Ishita is sitting in her home office, all dressed up in her business attire. Funny thing is she has nice business suite on, but instead of her formal pants, she is in her jammies since it is night in US. RKB would never know, would he???

Here we go, anticipation building and her iPad beeps. She is receiving a FaceTime call. Once connected ishita's face falls because the first thing she sees is two huge glass doors than can see a huge office with blue walls, two huge windows with sky-blue curtains, a big oak L-shaped desk and somebody hiding behind an open file, seems like that person is reading something.

She hear,, "Sir, Mrs. Reddy is online for her interview for HR director position. " as the lady finishes ishita sees the file going down. Ishita felt like it was playing in slow motion. She wanted to get this done.

Finally she hears

Raman: good morning or rather good evening Mrs. Reddy.

Ishita: a very good morning sir.

Ishita can't stop smiling and Raman wondered thru out the whole interview, the reason behind her smile. He didn't know that he is Ishita's inspiration now, did he!!!!One thing he noticed is her smile reached her eyes. Ishita answered all of the Raman's questions with enthusiasm and wittiness. She managed to impress the great Raman Kumar Bhalla with her energy and fresh perspective and ideas to boost employee morale and to increase their performance and thus increasing revenue. Usually it takes a week or so before Raman would announces his decision. But with ishita, he knew she was the right person for the position.

Raman: Mrs. Reddy, I don't usually do this. But I think you are the right person for this position. At this moment I would like to offer you the job with a full relocation package. . It starts in two weeks. He immediately offered her the position with full relocation package. Being a director also comes with the perks of a car and an apartment.

After listening to all of this, Ishita got so excited that she jumped from her chair with her iPad in her hand and ran to subbu to tell him the good news while Raman was still online. First thing Raman noticed is her pajama bottoms and second thing/person- subbu. All of a sudden ishita remembers of Raman still being online. She realizes her dressing fiasco. Somehow she tries to get the situation under control. She immediately sits down next to subbu and introduces him, weird right??? Raman felt he same way. But Raman being Raman, greets Subbu.

Raman: Mrs. Reddy, I should take your leave than. See you in two weeks.

Ishita: sir, just one thing, I would like your email please. Leaving everything behind along with my husband is a big decision. I would like to sleep over it and give you my final answer tomorrow. I hope you understand.

Raman: Mrs. Reddy I am not married, but I understand. Let me know by tomorrow 9am sharp.

Ishita thanks him and cuts the call.

That night Raman, ishita and subbu did not sleep well, all for a totally different reason.

Raman couldn't sleep because for some odd reason, he was feeling like his life is going to change.

Ishita couldn't sleep because she was excited about her new job. But was upset that subbu did not agree to go with her since he has a great job here in us. She is anxious because she has never been to India and going there alone and being alone is scary for her. But working with her inspiration is what is giving her strength to move to India, away from her love, subbu and her home.

Subbu couldn't sleep because he did not think that ishita would go forward with her crazy dream of working with Raman. And even if she did he dint think that she would get the job. Now she is moving away for him, temporarily, but still he is feeling insecure

All three wondering what the new morning will bring them. little did they know, this one decision will change their life, for the better or for the worst.
