She has finally managed to make it through to his heart. And move it too, to an extent! 😳 She is just getting to him with every moment she is spending with him. The best part of it is, its not physical attraction between them which is pulling them closer, its more of a deeper connection.. Or rather I should say, pulling him towards her. 😳
She still seems distant from him in terms of connectivity, but he surely is getting sucked into her charm. He may just end up falling deeply and dangerously for her! Which surely is the catchy factor. Can't wait to see what happens next between them and how their journey of one night flows onto become one that of love.

You are a fabulous writer! The way you pen down their emotions is just so intriguing! Waiting for the next part, update soon :) Thanks for the PM :)

@Bold and you just got it right! That was the idea!

I am so happy that you are liking my writing... I mean warm and happy, thanks!😳

Part 5

He cleared his throat and walked, between the rains towards his Suv, and took out the whiskey bottle that he had brought from the club, earlier that day, and took out a paper glass too, and again walked towards the arcade and took the bench, settling comfortably in it, while she still sat on that bench just across his and looked at him.

He looked at her, and asked, "Tumhe koi problem toh nahi agar mai..." he pointed towards the whiskey.

"Mujhe kya problem hogi, aapka jo mann kare karo saab..." and smiled at his hesitation.

He opened the knob of the bottle and poured out on the glass and had taken only a sip when he heard some shuffling of shoes, and one look at her face, he knew there was a problem, he turned to his back and saw a man, little taller than him, and little bulky than him too stood there looking at them, wiping the water droplets off his shirt and hair, he was dark and looked like goon, and then Raman looked at her, she was avoiding looking at the man and whispered the same to him, "Udhar mat dekho saab."

"Sab theek hai na?" he asked, but she never replied, rather she looked away, away from the sight of that man, blatantly ignoring his presence behind them.

Raman continued to sip the whiskey in comfortable silence, while she sat their nervous, and after a moment or two the man walked upto them and stood just infront of her and said, "chalo..." in a very distinct accent and a heavy voice.

She looked at him in disgust and said, "Dikh nahi raha mai engage hoon? Jaao yaha se..."

While he looked at her in blaze and said, "Tu kya samajhti hai... Naik Sahab ko mana karna aasan hai... hum NA nahi sunege... chalo..." And then he turned towards Raman and said, threatening, "Aur tum... chalo... jaao yaha se..." and then when he didn't moved an inch, he said like last warning, "Hindi samajh nahi aati...? Koi aur basha mein samjhau?" he said twisting his wrist, as warning him of probing him further. While Raman sat still, looking at him like he was some flimsy villain of some third class movie.

He was about to stand up and answer him when surprisingly she stood up and walked past them to a corner, while the man glared at Raman and walked behind her, towards the corner, and Raman just looked on towards, where there shadows mingled with darkness, and for the first time he felt an unusual strain somewhere in his heart, and this act didn't go easy on him, all he wished to do at that moment was something he would have never ever thought to do in his life, and especially not with likes of her, but then only one thing that all he wanted was, to snatch her away from the man and never let go... he didn't know but he felt the need to have her full attention only on him, he wanted her to concentrate on him, only. And he was feeling jealous of the man who had more power on her than him, that she just walked past him, leaving him alone.

But soon, proving him wrong, she came back just after a minute, along with the man follwing her, blasting, "Toh tumhe kya lagta... ke mai marne ke liye jaungi uske paas? Mujhe apni jaan bohot pyaari hai... ye mat samajhna ke mujhe akal nahi hai... sab pata hai uski bimari ke bare mein... hum bhi Ejukated hain..." and then stopped for a moment and took a deep breath and said in a voice that was both laced with fear and anguish, "Keh dena apne naik se, nahi aane vali mai... jaao jaao..." while the man left, looking at her strangely, and walked off.

While she took a seat just beside him, on the same bench where he was sitting, with heaving chest because of the anger perhaps, that she was feeling inside herself bubbling.

"Kya hua?" couldn't help, he asked pointing at the dark-place, watching her muttering something un-understandable under her breath.

"Tumko kya ho gaya hai? Sawal bohot karte ho..." she bursted, something she was taught strictly to never do with anyone!

He sat their silent, not probing her further into answering anything, just sipping his whiskey slowly, while she after a while turned towards him, who was looking at some distant point and said, in a low but apologizing tone, "Sorry..."

While he just looked at her, surprised and asked, "Sab theek hai na?"

While she turned towards him frustrated and said, "Daaru milegi kya?"

While he looked at her amused, and passed her the whiskey bottle.

She took the bottle, almost snatching it, and turning the knob, took few gulps of the dark liquid, and closed her eyes, as the liquid went down her throat burning every cell in her body, and mixing well in her blood, running through her nerves, making her go numb at all places instantly. She felt warm and loose, like everything in her just melted.

Just then they heard some people coming towards them, he stood up and looked at them, who were at some distance and recognized the goonish man who had came before, and without any further ado, he grabbed her arm from elbow and probed her to follow him, and whispered, "Hey... he is here again, we must leave immediately, if you don't want to be taken by them." While she looked at them and then at him and smiled followed him nodding.

They came to middle of road, the rain had slowed down, while she pulled him towards the road side slums and asked him to follow her and whispered, " Mai inn logo ko janti hoon... chaliye..."

While he stood there motionless and blurted, "Nahi... yahan nahi..."

"Yahan nahi toh kahan? Vo peeche pade hain... Please chaliye varna hum pakde jayenge..." she said tensed.

After they entered the hut, she said to the old man, the owner of the hut, "Naik ke aadmi peeche pade hain..." and sat in one corner, and indicated Raman to do the same.

They both sat on the floor on a tattered cot, and silence prevailed.

She looked at him, with alcoholic eyes, little smile playing upon her lips and asked, finally, something that she wanted to ask from the time she came into contact with him, "Aapko koi attrction nahi hota mujhpe?"

Her smile and her eyes and her demeanor made him realize that she was intoxicated, but then he chose to answer her playfully, "Are you offended by that... tumhe bura lag raha hai?"

She smiled at his question and said... "hona hi chahiye... mujhe sab pasand karte hain, aur aap... aapne toh mujhe choone se bhi mana kar diya..." she pouted at it, unlike how she was, Pros-tish.

Raman shook his head and said, "Actually I don't do all this women thing... I am one woman man, I don't go sleeping around." And then he looked at her, apologetically and said, "I am sorry, I didn't mean it like that..."

To which she giggled, like she was mocking and looked at him, "Kya saab, aap bohot ache ho, varna itni respect se toh aaj tak kisi ne baat nahi ki mujhse..." and then she looked down and continued after a small while, "Bohot choti thi mai... jab yaha laa kar baitha diya usne... pata bhi nahi tha mujhe iss sabke bare mein... bohot darr laga tha mujhe..." and then a single tear escaped from her eye, and she smiled sarcastically and continued, "Bohot bada tha mujhse... unnees(19) saal kit hi mai..." and then stopped

It was as if she was not supposed to say all this, but words just slipped through her lips, it might be not wrong if Alcohol should be given the credit of being catalyst.

She looked at him, with all the innocence that was left in her, like he was the one sole man who would despite of his sex would understand her. Respect her truth, and would not slay her at any cost, like other men did.

"Issi road pe, ek car mein..." her lips shook and another tear tickled down, and then shaking her head she stopped, and smiled and looked at him.

And then she looked at him with big vacant eyes and then looked away and smiled and said, "Chodiye... ye sab baatein ab itni purani ho gayi hai ke... ab inhe yaad karna bhi ajeeb lagta hai..."

While he didn't probed her further, he was thrilled of having been shared a life's story, that too of a prosti... he didn't complete that word, he possibly couldn't call her that, atleast not he!

Her voice told him that every ounce of what she was saying was truth, the pain in her voice and eyes reflected same emotion. He looked away, feeling miserable.

But then he started, "Uss din mujhe meri life ki first job offer hui thi, aur mai yahan aaya tha... aur yehi pe mujhe koi mila tha..."

She smiled knowingly and asked, "koi ladki thi kya?"

"Haan" he said.

"Phir kya hua?" she asked curious.

"Phir... phir maine use shaadi kar li..." he said with a smile.

While she smiled, "Bohot pyaar karte hain aap usse?" she couldn't help but ask, seeing him smile, like it was a fond memory.

He looked down at her question, and like avoiding her said, instead, "Vaise unn dino ke baad, first time phir se young feel kar raha hoon... ye sab action, thrill..." he said with a sly smile.

She too smiled and asked, "Itne bhi buddhe nahi lagte aap... kya age hai aapki?"

He looked at her for a while and answered, "thirty-one."

While she looked at him in anticipation, while he just looked towards the road through window, and then couldn't control, feeling her permanent gaze on him and sighed and asked, finally, "What?"

"Ab aap nahi poochoge ke meri age kya hai?" she asked confused and surprised.

"Kya?" he looked at her incredulously.

"Aise kya dekh rahe hain... theek hai mai khud hi bata deti hoon... mai 23 ki hoon..." she said with a smile.

"Aur tum ye mujhe kyun bata rahi ho?" he asked.

"Kyun ki maine aapse poocha...toh mujhe bhi batana chahiye na... hisaab barabar." She reasoned childishly.

He smiled at that, shaking his head, and looked at her in amusement.

"Vaise achha hi hua jo mai yahan phas gaya tumhare saath, varna ek aur boring party mera intezaar kar rahi thi..." he said out of the blue, smiling.

It surprised her would be an understatement, she had never met a man other than Abrahim, who wanted nothing from her except her company. And here he was, treating her with the respect that she had never been treated since she had entered this line. She couldn't help but admire him, she was not able to believe that men like him existed.

She looked at him, who was looking away, towards the road, the man who didn't once tried to do anything, even on being probed and given opportunity not once but many times didn't lay a single finger on her, and treated her like no one had ever treated, and then she remembered, and smiled teary as her own created image of her prince came rushing from her memory, a true Prince Akka, who would be more handsome than any man I have seen, more romantic than Raj of DDLJ, who would respect me, treat me like his equal who would love me and would never ever look at any girl, not even the one who would probe him, he would be mine, only mine, heart and soul. And then looked away wiping her tears, as she heard him call for a taxi, that she saw passing by, which stopped almost immediately and he stood up giving his hand to her to do the same, and they came out thanking the old man, entered the taxi hurriedly.
