~"I was very afraid at the beginning, until Master told me that pain isn't the truth; it's what you have to get through in order to find the truth." ~Deepak Chopra, The Return of Merlin
Doc and Gan what a wonderful post you guys have done! From the collage, to the amazing words that describe Raman, and of course Gulzar saab's amazing poetry this really cheered me up. I was angry about the direction of the story was heading but this post made me realize that this just a bad phase YHM is going to through and hopefully it will get better. I love that you guys have chosen to talk about Raman's anguish.
Raman Raman Raman, what can I say about this character? He is really one of my favourite leads in television history. I love Raman because he is imperfect! The closest thing to a real life man. His growth as angry man to a loving husband and father is truly a beautiful journey. This man was always upset and angry and because of his angry, he was losing all his relations around him. Then Ishita entered his life, and slowly he learned to love all those around him again and mostly he started believing in love. He learned to let go of his dark past and started being happy. I must say he is an amazing father and husband, son, brother, sil, bil, and uncle. The way he values each and every relationship is heart-warming. This is one of the things I love this about Raman. He has valued his relations even though he never showed it. Even when he hated Ishita, he never disrespected her family in anyway and took on the roles of a SIL and BIL respective. This man is wonders.
Coming to this crazy in love Raman, I really love him because he values his wife alot. He is such a job and the way he makes Ishita blush and me blush more😳. Even though the viewers may not agree with him wanting to let Ishita go because of her happiness but if you look at Raman as a character he is always put others above him and their happiness. Look at Mihir for instance. Raman didnt like Mikha in the begining and still Raman got them together because he knows Mihir's happiness is with Mikha. Raman is in love with Ishita and he really cannot see her in pain. Another quality Raman has always had from the beginning is that he can never see those he loves in pain. Remember when Ruhi had a toothache or when she was bitten by a dog. Those were the times Raman avoided Ruhi but still when she was in pain he went crazy. Raman as a character has not changed at all. This is such confusion and his misunderstanding that he thinks Ishita will be happy without him. And it's okay because everyone at point may go through their life being confused about something or misunderstanding something. I may say KP has done a phenomenons job in showing Raman's confusion, love and inner battles about Ishita. Raman is probably the most imperfect perfect character on tv and i love puttar !😆
I leave you guys with two quotes that define Raman and his journey:
~"It is always the simple things that change our lives. And these things never happen when you are looking for them to happen. Life will reveal answers at the pace life wishes to do so. You feel like running, but life is on a stroll. This is how God does things." ~Donald Miller
~"Yes, I decided, a man can truly change. The events of the past year have taught me much about myself, and a few universal truths. I learned, for instance, that while wounds can be inflicted easily upon those we love, it's often much more difficult to heal them. Yet the process of healing those wounds provided the richest experience of my life, leading me to believe that while I've often overestimated what I could accomplish in a day, I had underestimated what I could do in a year. But most of all, I learned that it's possible for two people to fall in love all over again, even when there's been a lifetime of disappointment between them." ~ Nickolas Sparks, The Wedding
PS. Please dont stop making posts. I really love have mature discussions about the episodes on your guys post.
