No it doesn't look forced at all to me. Ever since the Adi/Amma accident track, Raman has slowly been coming to the realization that Ishita isn't benefitting too much from this relationship. Every time Ishita is the one who has to go through all these hurdles posed by Raman's past. As a perceptive guy (there's a reason he became a CEO) he's definitely realized this. And overhearing Mani's doubts basically just confirmed his suspicion.

I think this is a good track, leading to the huge confession. Yes both love each other and should know this, but I feel like there's a deeper component to this track as well.

Ishita is willing to do anything for Raman and family. She has gained so much from the relationship: acceptance, the love of a family that treats her like a daughter, a loving husband who keeps life interesting, a daughter with whom she feels fulfilled, etc. And Raman kind of realizes this, and kind off doesn't. He doesn't realize that his love is enough for Ishita. With Shagun, his love was not enough, and she ended up leaving him. Thus, he's insecure when it comes to how much his love counts for. With the confession, it'll be solidified for him that his love is enough for Ishita to stay and cross all hurdles for him.

Its quite sikilar to Ishita's insecurity that Raman loves only Shagun!

It sounds ridiculous but Raman is right is feeling so coz unfortunately he knows that his past has always been affecting n Ishita has another knack of meddling in other peoples lifes, so he knows that Ashok n co will have grudges with her although she is right in what she does.

So he just wants to protect her from getting hurt at hands of his past.

But he is not realizing that he wud actually end up hurting her n give her more Pain if he sacrifices for her happiness. 😳

In a way I agree but that said I also feel it's a tad bit OTT I mean she has said
I care for you
I want to show the world that you are not alone
I will stand up for you
You are my husband and no matter how much we fight. You are important to me

If all of this does not convince. Raman out of his insecurity I don't know what will
The thing is end of the day
They were debating between a confession track and a separation becos in Kekta shows one precedes or follows the other
If trp were low they would have gone with confession
Since trp hare high they are going with separation becos people will watch till confession

Cvs have made ishra into a pendulum there is no character driven track here it's trp driven
