I can understand the pain that both Raman and Ishita are going through. Ishita definitely trusts Raman but having Shagun in the same house is not easy and Raman can't say no to Adi but seeing Ishita being so sad will definitely hurt him as well. I'm glad he went to Ishita later on so that she gets the assurance that he will always be with her.

CHAPTER 4

Just then there was a message from the receptionist saying that a patient was waiting for her and Dr. Batra had forwarded the appointment to her. She carried on with her duty with utmost sincerity leaving behind all her thoughts. She had even refused Raman's offer to stay back with her. He reached home to an empty bedroom only to carry on with work which was put on hold for the wedding. His door opened slowly and lifted his head up thinking it would be Ishitha but to his surprise it was an upset Ruhi walking through the doors. She went directly and sat on his lap for comfort and love. Tears welled up in her pretty big eyes and she looked at her dad. "Did anybody tell you anything ? Even if that's the case why is my Ruhi so upset ?". Ruhi spoke slowly "Papa, Why is Shagun mama here along with Adi bhaiyaa ? They have Ashok uncle for them right, why do they have to come here ?" These words from his angel's mouth pierced his heart. He could understand the dilemma of his angel. She has never been comfortable with the two of them and he has never answered such questions to Ruhi. Once again he felt the need for his wife. She was an expert at it and he had to agree. After hugging her for a while and a lots of hmmms, starts and sort he saw the most wanted person of the moment walking in to the room and a sense of relief spread across his face. She smiled at his stressed out face and looked at their position in awe. She was asked to handle their angel with mere eyes and after all she could not resist as it was all about being with her 2 "R"s.

They were sitting on the bed with Ruhi on Raman's lap and her hands held on to her Ishima's hands. She looked in to her tear stained eyes and made her talk about everything. She held on to her hand tightly, and a smile appeared on her face as both their thoughts were similar. Both wanted Raman close to them and were not ready to share him with anyone. A sense of possessiveness spread across them. She moved Ruhi to her lap and started talking after taking her in a hug "You should be happy that you can spend time with your Adi bhaiyya. But what if Shagun mamma takes me along and if papa loves Adi bhaiyya more.. She felt numb hearing all those questions and looked at him with pain.He was amazed by the two woman sitting in front of him. His eyes welled hearing at his angel's words and her unsaid confession. He felt happy to be loved so much. They had a family hug, there was no kind of uneasiness between the two this time. Two eyes continued watching this scene which was noticed by both from the room. They asked him to enter the room, but he chose to walk further without paying heed to their voices.

Shagun was on the line with Ashok and was demanding an explanation from him for all his acts. His idea was only half successful. Driving out Shagun out of his life was easier done than he thought but getting Mihika in was not easy. He had lost her once and for all. Her family had trusted her to bits and Mihir was no different which was the truth. He regretted listening to Suraj and Param. Now his life also seem to be plain empty without anyone. He wasn't sure whether Shagun was the right person, he needed time to streamline his thoughts. Settling down is anyone's ultimate goal, here he stood empty handed at the end of the day. No woman will want to spend a lifetime with him, Shagun was there but he thought he was doing the right thing by clearing her place for Mihika but it visibly backfired. Now Shagun was demanding for explanations and their future. He had to take decision. All he wanted was time and very sweetly convinced her. She was long lost in her thoughts and the scene which her son had explained to him was not easy for her to digest. Here they were happy as a family and she had lost whatever she had in hand or at least at present it was void. How could she tolerate that. Sisters had messed up her life, today would have been her wedding night and she gets to spend time with her son at her Ex's house. The thought only made her feel suffocated. She did not want them to have a good night. Her son near Ishitha, no way.

Walking in to their room after knocking she found only Raman and Ishitha in and decided to talk to them right away. She avoided Ishitha completely and was looking only at her Ex who was in his night linens. He had developed a nice little stubble which made him look suave. After ogling at him for a couple of seconds, "Raman I did not deserve whatever happened with me today. If not for you myself and my son would have been stranded. I still know you love Adi the most and it was really nice of you to do this much for us." Time and again she kept glancing at Ishitha who was trying her level best not to get affected with the whole chat happening between the two in her bedroom. Raman knew all these were unwanted talks to drill insecurity inside his wife who was going through some emotional downs. "I do not want to remain as a burden on you neither I will want Adi as I got his custody. We are here for a few days and would be a nice chance for Adi and Ruhi to get along. I hardly spend time with her and neither I am given the chance. Shagun, you very well know Ruhi was with you even the day before your wedding day. Yes, I do agree. These are baseless talks right now. Haan, do get a good sleep and make sure Adi is comfortable. Oh yes he is comfortable in Ruhi's room and she will be sleeping with the two of you today. Adi is not used to sleeping with someone. I will feel more in home if you can allow Ruhi along with me just for the night". Ishitha was silent beyond words, Raman knew this was all drama just to hurt Ishitha. He can neither shout as his son was around. Ishitha for once wanted to selfish but the woman in her made her fall for her Sautan's words. Raman signalled a "no" before she could talk but she was too quick for him. She obliged much to Shagun's delight.

Ruhi entered with one of her night toys clutched on to her hand. "Ishima I am feeling very sleepy and after a lot of time I am going to sleep with you" and hugged her tight. Raman glared at his madarasan, who hung her head down in guilt for breaking the kid's heart. She went on her knees, hugged her at once and few tears made their way down her face wetting little Ru's shoulders. Releasing from the hug she cupped her mothers face, wiping her tears and interrogated her mother with her ever sweet questions. "Ru beta.. Ishima loves you a lot, I love you too mama." All of a sudden she heard her uttering only mama which made her heart melt more. Wiping her tears before they could fall, "Ru do you remember when you were sad and could not sleep I was always there to put you to sleep. Today there is another person who is not able to sleep and no one is able to put her to sleep with nice stories or sweet lullabies. She also wants someone who can put her to sleep and you know your Ishima might need to go to the clinic for attending babies who are not well. I have promised that person that I will help them out. Can you help me Ru ? Ruhi could bear anything but not make her mother break promises. They loved each other way too much. Anything for you Ishima, Ruhi promise. Shagun mama is not well and she asked me to help her but I could not. Adi bhaiyya does not know all this. Only my Ruhi knows how to tell stories and put the person to sleep with her sweet huggies and kissies. Can you help Shagun mama only tonight, Ruhi promise ?" The kid did hesitate but her Ishima's promise was more important to her than anything. She was a junior Ishitha in all sense and could only agree. She went down with Ruhi to Shagun's room after an emotional hug.
