When she reaches the sets she hears a lot of commotion.All her co-stars have surrounded him and are congratulating him.He is smiling and carrying on with his friendly banter.She is surprised to see him .He never reached the sets so early.So how many episodes can you shoot before you leave,She hears her on screen sister asking him.
She does not hear his reply.cannot hear anything after hearing the word leaving'.She feels a sudden heaviness in her heart.Something snaps inside her and she does not understand why suddenly she wants to run away from there.
Just as she thinks of moving away she sees him moving towards her,a box of her favourite chocolates in his hand.See, I remembered, he says.You'll soon forget,she snaps. She is shocked at her own outburst. He looks at her and smiles whimsically. Before she can say anything else, she is called.The shot is ready.
She is sleeping on the couch.He comes and stands near her,touches her face lovingly and bends down to kiss her forehead.He then tells her he is leaving her forever.She has a tough time fighting back her tears,is this reel or real.After one retake the shot is okay.
She gets up from the couch and he sees her wiping a lone tear .She was supposed to sleeping in the scene.Why then is she crying,he wonders.
He comes to her but stops when he hears her phone ringing.She starts moving to her makeup room while still talking.He sees her receding back and wonders...
Once in the privacy of her makeup room she gives up the futile struggle and indulges in her sorrow.Tears flow uninterrupted,muffled sobs shaking her delicate frame.She is sad,she is confused,she is angry.Why is she crying?what does it matter who she has to work with?Why should it matter?
She hears the gentle tapping on the door.She gathers herself before softly saying,come in.He is at the door,with the box of chocolates in his hands.You left this there,he says. You should not leave,he adds with a naughty grin.Nor should you she tells him silently.
He hesitates for a while at the door and then comes in.So,she says,a movie?Yes he replies scanning her face for something.I am happy for you,she says.So am I,for you,he says.You will not have to wait for your co star.He is very punctual.She smiles,at least she tries but ends up with a sob.
In an instant he is at her side,asking her what happened.Somehow that causes that volcano of emotions to erupt,she cannot contain it anymore.Let him think what he wants.
Look here listen stopcrying,listen,just look at me please,in vain he tries to stem the tide.She does not let him come near her.Will you listen to me for a moment,I was just joking, he says.She looks up.You always call me a prankster don't you.Couldn't you understand it was one of my pranks.
She refuses to look at him.Sorry,he says,achha baba kaaan pakad ke sorry,he says pouting cutely.She smiles through her tears. Don't you understand its impossible for me to leave,he says.Why she asks.He smiles and walks away without replying.
On his way back he calls the casting director.Sorry,he says,This thing can,t work out.personal commitments,he says and cuts the call.
