But what about that ILU and the shit they showed between ishita and mani...how will they justify that..
even if raman realise that they were helping him. How will he believe that ishita dnt have any feelings for mani..
i hope Raman find the truth and confronts ishita..
this mess was created by both of them so both of them should take the responsibility not Raman alone.

P.S.. writers are taking audience for granted and turning this in to Saas-Bahu drama...

P.S.S I hope after this filthy track mosquito will leave the show. My only hope from illogical nonsense.

Excellent post

Even If he finds out mani and ishita were helping him

How can he negate other things

This is where hope ishita realises her mistake especially lying and changing caller id

Perfect post, Leo. Feminism has become very "cheap" nowadays, everyone's using it for his/her own purpose. CVs thought why not us then. They fail to provide us a mature show and now they are hellbent on providing us a unique type of feminism---selective feminism. This selective feminism only works for Raman but ceases to function in case of Param and Romi.

I agree that Raman has to find this out by himself because Ishita and Mani's convo that he heard was really misleading and it is never a small suspicion in Raman's mind now. its better that he gets convinced all by himself.

And Ishita not explaining herself isnt feminism but self esteem and respect for herself.

Only thing I have a problem is with Ishita's caring nature transformed and her attitude thinking that let him deal with it...

He is damaging himself by all this stress and drinking...As a wife, she has to be concerned about it and do something to bring him back to normal!

What has their issue got to do with Feminism? When Ishita really needed to be one with Param returning to their home track, she forgot to be a feminist

Even if Ishita doesn't want to explain because to be honest she doesn't know what Raman saw and heard that is fine but since she is aware of her husband's past history with Shagun and she now knows his feeling insecure she should consider why his feeling like this and try to make him feel more secure and hopefully he will realize truth on his own.

***EDITED

Hi Leo

My hands were itching to write something. But I stopped myself from penning down anything because my thoughts were getting quite serious, and I didnt think it was necessary for a fictional TV show😳... But since you made the topic, I will say some of what I wanted to say.

I am not sure why (and when) the words 'feminism' and 'women empowerment' were brought into the context of discussing the show and the track?

I think both these words are very IMPORTANT words and far too serious to be used around lightly in the context of daily soaps and characters in them. They have socio-economic and cultural implications and have been debated for decades by people (far more philosophical, intelligent and mature than I am). I am sorry if I sound like I am on my soap-box, but I do believe that we are trivialising things a bit here.

Feminism has been about giving equal rights to women (obviously because traditionally societies have been male-dominated). But feminism doesn't substitute for logic, common sense and understanding. Feminism shouldn't be used as a cover to justify acts and thoughts only to prove that the female is right (always?). Empowering women doesnt always have to come at the cost of emasculating the male. If used in the wrong context, feminism comes across as a personal vendatta of a woman against a man and it dilutes the decades of hard work put into the cause.

If I have to comment on this in the context of the show, I would like to propose a hypothetical here (and let me make it VERY clear, I am talking only in the context of feminism and empowerment, I am really not interested in discussing who's right and who's wrong. NOT on this post at least).

If the scenario were COMPLETELY reversed (and imagine a 'Sona' suddenly coming into Raman's life... Raman hugging her and saying I Love you, and Ishita only hearing half of the conversation...etc etc imagine the same MU but the roles are reversed)

We would be debating if Raman is right OR if Ishita is right OR if Sona is the thorn in their life... we would be questioning Raman and Ishita's sense of righteousness, propriety and logic. as 2 individuals in a marriage.
WOULD we talk about male empowerment? or would we call it a misunderstanding between 2 seemingly mature people who cannot seem to work out the issues in their life.

So please by all means, let Ishita decide that she doesn't want to apologise to Raman, and that he is wrong in not trusting her, but please lets not brand it as empowerment of women or feminism. It's self-respect. and that is (should be) present in both men and women.

PS:
why Leo Why, why did you make me do this??? ... i just re-read what I wrote and I sound so bitterI need a 'Dhondu Just Chill MEME for myself'...
Where is Megha ???😆

Maaf kar de lucky

Awesome post

This whole thing has nothing to do with feminism

I understand ishita is aghast at her character being doubted

But my thinking is that she also needs to realise she played a part in creating the whole drama

That's all

@TM, do you really know what feminism is? Those examples you are using have nothing to do with feminism, heck even ishita deciding not to clarify anything to Raman, about her and mani has nothing to do with feminism, either the writers or divyanka or both are using it in the wrong context.
