I am mostly a silent member on this forum actually pretty silent on IF at the moment but this track has forced me to make a post
How can ishita be jealous of Sanjana and Shagun but not understand Raman's insecurity about Mani? We'll cause there is a difference!
It might make no sense but if my boyfriend told me to speaking to my ex... Hands down I would do it, if my boyfriend told me to stop talking to my best friend (who is a guy) he has another thing coming...
Shagun and Sanjana in Ishita's mind Raman loved and was in a relationship with them... Yet she accepted them in his life... Shagun the choice was a bit less but with Sanjana it raises questions as to why did he leave her? Does he still love her? Etc... And if you aren't told, about that person you have doubts and jealousy... They know a part of Raman ishita doesn't -his love in her mind... She has heard so many taunts from Shagun about how much Raman loved her and she has taken in her stride no questions asked and never asked Raman for that love because she respects his past and understands his pain... She has also had her heart broken and that person happily moved on and is living the life she dreamed off with him...
Raman can be jealous of Shubu and he has been, he has every right to be because Ishita was in love with him no matter of how much of a jerk he was... And he can tell Ishita to stop speaking to him not that Shubu or Ishita talk but Ishita has the rights to do the same thing to Raman and tell him not to Tslk to Shagun she won't but she sure as hell can tell him that
But with Mani (yes Raman is allowed to be insecure and jealous) but he also has to deal with it and tell Ishita about it cause she isn't a mind reader... To her Raman is being as rude as ever he is always like this anyway...As for her friendship with Mani and the promo... Hugging your best friend who is a guy and saying ILU I would do it... Because I do love my best friend, I confined in him and he knows all my secrets, my craziness and he is the one person I trust to give me advice about guys... When some idiot breaks my heart he is probably the one person I message but that is because we are both secure in our lives and know that if this was meant to go beyond friendship it would have done a very long time ago and yes the other side of the relationship and my partner will have that insecurity but like Ishita I would tell my partner he is just a friend and I can't force someone to believe something they don't want to... If someone tells you their problem you can help them...
The line is fine but the difference is huge... And with the second one your friend can help because he or she can make an effort to remove the insecurity... Mani wanted to meet Raman yes there were instances where he went treat my friend better but I would do the same for my friend and when I meet his girlfriend I always make the effort and when something is not right I want my friend to tell me and he trusts me to tell him...
Just my thoughts but if Raman had a best friend and she was female... I don't think Ishita would be reacting in the same way and despite Raman's past he owes it to Ishita to be honest with her, ishita can be more sensitive but everyone has a limit and if Raman is putting up a wall in front of him she can spend breaking it down but it is more likely she will spend time banging her head against it... She is just as vulnerable to heartbreak as Raman so why is she expected to put her out there to have is crushed time and time again, Raman is also guilty of that... He has used her to make Shagun jealous... Ishita went a long with it, he lied to her Ishita never asked him why? He stood against her for his ex wife... She protected him... They have both been there for each other's family and yes Raman has done things for Ishita on his own accord but Ishita's best friend is a guy is that too much for him to accept? Yes Ishita doesn't stop praising Mani but you will always tell someone his good qualities before you tell them what winds you up about that person... And her family will know Mani he is her friend they would have spent time with him... Raman needs some logic and Ishita till now expect for keeping this Romi issue to herself hasn't actually done anything wrong in my eyes...
