I almost missed this 😲
Crap I missed page 1
Okay now that I sulked that out I have to say APT title Ruby - like I said last night on LU this couple has ALWAYS been attracted to each other... the day they cross paths for the first time... she influenced him even when he merely hears her...she has had the power to change him from that first moment.
He later came across this woman time and again - first she was a neighbor he dint bother to give a second glance, next his daughter' doctor...slowly she started becoming a more prominent person in his life as their interactions became more frequent - he proclaimed when he met her he cant stand her, he agreed to marry her and in the privacy of his room said he has lost it for having done so...but this same man also in a drunken bout landed at the doorstep of his ex and proclaimed I have found a MOTHER for my Ruhi and she is worth a 1000 of you...and I am glad she will be raising my daughter... he mocked her, ran from her, shirked her BUT couldn't help but NOTICE her... what he could tell in his drunken moment to his ex even before they were married took him months and a move by the very woman to say it to her face - I am glad you are raising Ruhi, when the woman who gave birth to his children for her own selfish reasons killed the last bit of respect he could hold for her even as the mother of his children... NOW he cant be polite to her, he can help her, can save her but yes she has lost any trace of respect he could muster for her - the mother of his children... all that he can do for her now and does still is because she has his son, the child precious to him and the child who in essence is all alone.
So why did I basically write all this - because even before he accepted this woman as his wife, his life-partner... even before he started getting conscious of the fact that with the simmering attraction he has felt for this woman now he has started having feelings for her or holding her in his affections is the fact - he accepted her as the mother of his daughter, first and foremost.
She when she agreed to meet him in the coffeeshop and agreed for this marriage with the clause - Sirf Ruhi Ke Liye - spoke I fell in love and I can't help it, you are the FATHER of the child who now holds my heart...
She acknowledged him as Ruhi' father first and foremost as well.
Recently she spoke - Ruhi is more her daughter, she thinks her wajood, is because of her now. What is her wajood today - her identity - she is a mother, a daughter-in-law, a sister-in-law and a wife - the order in which things happened for her, the order in which she accepted her various roles. Though slow and steady the thing that came at the end has now gained the numero uno spot - now she says she is someone' wife, someone' mother She is now Mrs. Ishita Raman Bhalla...and all of that is courtesy of Ruhi - she is all she is today because of that little girl - this woman who admitted I thought I would never have anything today I have it all - no wonder she attributed the source of her identity to that child.
The first MAJOR hurdle that came their way immediately after their marriage was when the man felt the child who is his reason to live isn't his flesh and blood - she learned of this issue and the doubt didn't even take root in her mind - why? Because she observed how the daughter is a REFLECTION of her father...she is so ALIKE him - the child who holds her heart is a splitting image of her father in almost everything... she found Raman in Ruhi in a matter of days when for years he SAW Shagun in her because of her face...
She eliminated his doubt and the words he spoke that day as he hugged his daughter were - Hum Jeet Gaye - We Won. Cause they truly had won after all - they had found each other, but more importantly they weren't alone anymore - for now their little family was complete - he had a wife, she had a mother.
In finding the similarities between the daddy-daughter duo - Ishita established a place for Raman in her heart - how could she not? Ruhi is an extension of him after all.
In gaining back his daughter via the truth he found Ruhi' mother in Ishita eliminating Shagun' trace completely from his mind, making him see BEYOND the appearance of his child... and when he did that he found beneath that appearance - she is his...and now slowly she is taking after the woman raising her as her own... from that day on he had NO reason to hold back the love he ALWAYS had for his daughter in his heart, his child never had to pine for him from thereon.
He never asked her how she learned of his plight, she NEVER explained it as well... so yeah Silence was established pretty early on in this marriage - cos these people realized Silence was better than words any day, opening those gates would and could wreak HAVOC. it was established that day they would be by each other, for each other but NO COMMUNICATION SHALL BE MADE. Nothing would be addressed, things would be brushed under the carpet - why because they married for Ruhi - for her they shall keep a united front but they shall be separate entities in their privacy...kinda like the Mahabharata - where the policy of the clan was - amidst us it shall always be 5 vs. 100 BUT should an outsider try to gain advantage of this we shall be 105 vs. all of those..
The first challenge post that came in the form of the Param fiasco where she seeked him, his trust over everyone else' and while he stood mute and hurt her for a while, ultimately he came for her..because by then they were a unit...they just realized how strong and close they could be then..he came to get her back on Ruhi' insistence - the one person who is their shield and she came back because he was the ONE person she wanted to come back to, the one person she wanted to ask her to do it.
Slow and steady they crossed other hurdles -each trying to tear them apart - but ultimately each bringing them even closer, making them cling onto each other even more...
They had to give a NAME though to this growing reliance, this deepening bond - he acknowledged it by saying, yelling, roaring to her and everyone else alike - stunning everyone including him when he spoke the words - Biwi ho tum meri, Meri Biwi... she transcended from being the mother of his child to his wife..the one woman he needed more than anyone else in his mind - the woman he couldn't and wouldn't let go off even if SHE asked it of him; Nahi Chhodunga, Biwi ho Tum Meri .
She started calling him a friend .
Note how he has NEVER said the friend word for her; how it was she who realized later and had goosebumps as she did so when she acknowledged - he is her husband, she has started to think of this man...
Now is it any wonder that a FRIEND, A BEST FRIEND at that comes to wake them up and shake the equations ..who in his own way has started prodding and probing Ishita already as he asked her Do you love your husband? This man doesn't beat around the bush now does he? I like that 😆
It is this man who somehow makes them have the first conversation where the word LOVE even if in the context of a third party comes up between them, this man makes them face the question - Is it possible to LOVE AGAIN?
The man who is referred to as Shani already by Raman makes them reflect upon it at least..and as they do so, they are each looking at their reflections - she in a mirror and he on his laptop... when it comes to each other - she sees his reflection and hence still associates him with his past, he is facing away from her - secure in a way of things in her life...he isn't LOOKING at her, searching her for answers even when she is doing it in regards to him.
Is it any wonder then that they each are in their own bubble - they are lost in their own minds even when they are with each other, there is no one else in the room besides them, they are in their bedroom but they are still on parallel grounds. Hence the lines in the FB last night - ek nadi ke dono jaise kinare hai - the word jaise holds the key here - like two banks of a river - those two banks are parallel and can never meet as they have a river between them - they are together and yet apart - these two are LIKE those banks and NOT two banks...they would eventually meet, they have to come together - do haseen tan man ka yeh haseen bandhan hai... but until then they would continue to be apart like those banks those kinaras.
The answers and questions they seek have yet not presented themselves because - no one is asking the RIGHT questions or ANY questions or even if one is asked it is brushed aside and pushed under - the answers are not there... for this they have to speak up but for any of that they have to look inside their own hearts to do so...
The question raised because of a friend would make her finally admit he is MORE than a friend to her...the threat posed because of the same said friend would push him to the extent that he would want to, have to open up his heart and in the process hers as well as it would break the silent barrier that he too has allowed to exist between them and over his own heart and feelings.
They would have to finally LISTEN to their hearts.
Because right now even when it is saying things to them they arent listening to it... there is Khamoshi yet there but when finally they would those silences would start humming... Khamoshiyaan gunghunane lagengi but until then the path they are on reminds me of a beautiful, beautiful soothing track by Lataji
Kuch Dil Ne Kaha
Kuch Dil Ne Kahaa, Kuch Bhi Nahiin
Kuch Dil Ne Suna, Kuch Bhi Nahiin
Aisi Bhi Baatein Hoti Hain
Aisi Bhi Baatein Hoti Hain
Kuch Dil Ne Kahaa, Kuch Bhi Nahiin
Leta Hai Dil Angadaaiyaan, Is Dil Ko Samjhaaye Koi
Armaan Naa Aankhen Khol De, Rusvaa Naa Ho Jaaye Koi
Palakon Ki Thandi Sej Par, Sapano Ki Pariyaan Soti Hain
Aisi Bhi Baatein Hoti Hain
Aisi Bhi Baatein Hoti Hain
Kuchha Dila Ne Kahaa, Kuchha Bhinahin
Dila Ki Tassali Ke Liye, Jhuuthii Chamaka Jhuuth Nikhaara
Jiivana To Suunaa Hi Rahaa, Saba Samajhe Aayi Bahaara
Kaliyon Se Koi Puuchhataa, Hansati Hain Yaa Rotii Hain
Aisii Bhi Baaten Hoti Hain
Aisii Bhi Baaten Hoti Hain
Kuch Dil Ne Kahaa, Kuch Bhi Nahin
Kuch Dil Ne Suna, Kuch Bhi Nahiin.
For those who have hindi issues here is a translation of the song
My heart said something; yet, it was nothing at all.
My heart said something; yet, it was nothing at all.
Such things happen in life.
My heart has become restless in anticipation ; may someone please make it stop
I hope that my desires do not cause my eyes to open and bring about disgrace,
For the dream-fairies remain asleep on the cool bed of my eyelids.
Such things happen in life.
For my heart's satisification, I have adorned myself in this false glitter and shine.
Though it remains empty, everyone assumes that spring has arrived in my life.
Yet, no one has bothered to ask the flowerbuds whether they are smiling or crying.
Such things happen in life.
My heart said something; yet, it was nothing at all.
a vid of the song where the music is barely there since the words and voice of Lataji is more than enough
