Not even once they had shown Raman and Mani seeing each other before the school fight. It was always Mani's assistance who spook to Raman. So Raman never saw him. May be Mani had one side glass in his office.
BUT
It seemed that when met in school Mani did not recognizes him and after initial rudeness he suddenly softened and apologized and both played it cool.
BUT
When Mani saw Raman in the hotel - he mentioned about the contract and not about the school event and he had met Ruhi etc.
Isn't that strange. ?
