PART 6 Ishita sees Raman's new secretary !

When ishita comes home from some shopping, she sees Raman sitting in the living room, with some chai. He looks at her, with a smile on his face. Little does she know that he is plotting against her. She thinks he is just in a good mood. She puts her bags down, goes to get herself a glass of water and sits next to raman.

Ishita : "You seem to be in a good mood today Raman... anything special?"

Raman : "Nothing much... YET." He has his little smirk on his face. Ishita understands that something is up but she decides to just enjoy his good mood as he is RARELY joyful.

Raman : "how was your day off? You didn't go at the clinic today right? Didn't you get bored from not seeing your Vyann?"

Ishita pouts a bit : "First of all he is not MY vyann. And since you ask... I went at the clinic today; in between two shops."

Raman's good mood disappears. He thinks "I knew she couldn't spend a day away from him! Unbelievable!"

Ishita : "I had to pick up some molds to work on them."

Raman doesn't speak back. He is back to sulking.

Ishita chuckles.

Raman gets angry : "What's so funny?!"

Ishita "Nothing sorry. I was just thinking about something that Vyann told me today..."

Raman cynical : "Would you care sharing it with me? Since it's so funny, maybe I could get a laugh at it too?"

Ishita : "Yes of course ! Actually something weird happened today at the clinic... Vyann was told someone -a man- was looking for him. And when he got to the man, out of nowhere the man got angry and started shouting at him!" Ishita lets out a genuine laugh. She continues : "Poor vyann was SO confused, he didn't know what was happening!" Ishita starts laughing again.

Raman gets angry as he realizes she is unknowingly speaking about himself ! he says "Maybe that ... man was confused himself that's why he got angry! What is so funny in that? And I'm sure he didn't actually SHOUT. Your Vyann seems to be the kind of punk who invents stories just to get attention..."

Ishita shushes down her laughter : "Haa maybe. But it was still very funny. Also he described the man to me..."

Raman freezes. What if Ishita had realized Vyann was talking about him?!

Raman, hesistant : "and erm... how did he describe him...?"

Ishita : "that's the most funny part : he said it was a shor... I mean a not-very-tall guy, in suit, with a stubble... For a second I thought he was speaking about you!!" she laughs again. Raman is very uncomfortable.

Ishita continues : "but then I realized it couldn't be you. You knew that I wasn't at the clinic so you had no reason to go there..."

Raman is relieved that Ishita hasn't put the pieces together.

Ishita asks : "Enough about me. How was your day raman?"

Raman gets up : "some people work, not everyone is like you : spending the day shopping. I'm tired of hearing you laughing, I'm going to rest in my room." He leaves her like that.

Ishita thinks that again, he went on ravaan kumar mood but she is still happy that she got a little moment with her Raman.

The next day, Raman finds a dozen of cv's on his desk. In less than 5 minutes, he has picked one up, solely based on the photo of the girl. He calls the agency so that they send the secretary to him.

After lunch, the secretary, Miss Sumaan, arrives at his office.

Sumaan : "Hi Sir. I am sumaan; your new secretary."

Raman : "Hi. From now on I am your boss and you'll do whatever I tell you to do, without contesting any of my decisions. Understood?"

Sumaan gets uncomfortable. Raman notices it and clears things right away : "Don't worry, this is not a 50 shades of grey type of thing..."

Sumaan laughs at his joke and feels already more comfortable.

Raman continues : "I only need you for a couple of days but i'll give you a full 2-month salary. All you have to do is sit at this little desk by the window and wait. You can do whatever you want, play candy crush, touch up your make up, look through the window, I don't care as long as your silent. But, as soon as someone enters the office... It can be anyone, Mihir, my laywer... or let's say... a woman called Ishita... you have to come up at my desk, sit beside me and pretend to work."

Sumaan hesistant : "That's okay with me... but did you just say "pretend to work"? ... you're basically saying that you don't need me as a secretary ? isn't that a bit weird?"

Raman " I know it's weird, that why I'm overpaying you. Also when you get out of there, you'll get to write on your cv that you've worked in my company -one of the biggest of Asia- and trust me, it'll open you a whole lot of new career opportunities."

Sumaan starts to see her own interest in this weird job so she smiles and nods. She'll do as he says.

Next day in the morning, Ishita is preparing breakfast for everyone. She is a bit in a rush and leaves before everyone else. Before going she turns around and calls out Raman who is still eating.

Ishita : "Raman, I've put your tiffen on the the counter, don't forget to take it before you go at the office."

Raman : "I'm not Ruhi alright? I'm not a child anymore for you to tell me this. Just go..."

Ishita pouts and leaves. "This ravaan kumar... even when i care for him, he gets angry!"

A few minutes later, before going at the office, Raman looks around and sees that there is no one. He takes the tiffin and hides it behind some big casserole.

He looks around a second time : still no one. He leaves for the office, smirking.

Around lunch time he calls ishita, ready to put his plan into actions:

Raman : "Ishita... It's me. I forgot to take my tiffen this morning, I have a very important meeting soon, I can't go home and pick it up myself."

Ishita : "are you kidding me raman? I told you this morning to not forget your tiffen and you said you are not a chil..."

Raman interrupts her : "Arre chup kar! This is not the time for your lectures! Also, I know what I said. But the tiffen wasn't on the counter like you said it was so I forgot about it. Just bring it to me alright?"

Ishita : "Ask someone else, I'm busy at the clinic too."

Raman : "Ishita, Why should I ask someone else? YOU are my wife, it's YOUR duty to take care of me. Listen I'm getting hungry, just bring it to me will you?" and he hangs up

Ishita : "Allo? Raman... allo?"

To herself : "This ravaan kumar... I can't believe it! Now I have to go and bring him his lunch... Such a child he is! The tiffen better not be on the counter like I said it was or else I'll show him the real JKR!"

She gets home and notices the tiffen is not on the counter. She looks around and finds it behind the casserole.

Ishita : "... Weird, I could have sworn I left it on the counter... Maybe neelu moved it. No wonder raman didn't took it, if it's not before his eyes, he won't think about it..."

She almost feels bad for shouting at him on the phone. She rushes to his office to get him his lunch.

Ishita parks her car in front of Raman's building. She gets out of her car and press the tiffen against her chest.

Ishita to herself : "Raman's mood seems to have been better lately. Maybe today we could eat together too..." She blushes at the thought of it. She enters the building smiling, happy to get to eat lunch with her husband.

Meanwhile Raman in his office :

Raman : "Sumaan... listen, I've forgotten my lunch at home. Would you mind if I took two bites out of yours?"

Sumaan : "... This was not part of the contract sir."

Raman : "I'm paying you. So that means you bought your food with my money. I do have some right over it."

Sumaan "Sir, I didn't mean to eavesdrop, but didn't you just ask your wife to bring your lunch to you? So why do you need to eat my lunch?"

Raman : "Just do as I say."

Sumaan rolls her eyes and comes to sit next to him at his desk. Raman takes a piece of roti in his hands and waits.

Sumaan : "you're not eating ?"

Raman doesn't answer. He looks at his watch, Ishita should be there soon now.

Sumaan "... Sir... I don't think your wife will like it, seeing us like that."

Raman doesn't answer once again.

Sumaan : "sir... you're not using me to get your wife jealous,... are you?"

Raman looking at her : "I'll double your salary if you shut up for the rest of your stay."

Sumaan looking back at him : "Done deal."

They both smile at that, finally getting on the same page.

Right at this moment, Ishita enters the office with her husband's tiffen. She sees him with a young girl, eating together in the same tiffen already, they are both smiling at each other.

I loved Raman's reaction when he saw Vyann, that was just too funny. So happy that Raman has gotten this secretary just to make Ishita jealous, can't wait to see Ishita's reaction in the next update.
