Hey guys,
I am a silent member on this forum and I have probably never interacted with most of you. I started watching this show since I am home now studying for my boards and since my mom watches this show, I slowly got hooked to it.
I have never written a fictional story before ever in my life, so this is a first on many levels. Additionally, this isn't proof read and isn't' grammatically correct because I wrote this while taking a break from studying.
Since I am a beginner at this I would appreciate all the feedback you guys can provide.
One last note: I am trying not to include racy sexual content because there is so much emotional depth in these characters that it will be enriching if i can successfully deal with this FF by adding more depth and layers to Raman and Ishita and hopefully bring out the romance and love via proper Ishra conversations.
So here it goes, enjoy!
Part 1
There was pin drop silence in the hall. No wedding hall should be this quite, wedding halls aren't supposed to see gloomy faces and hear eerie silences. But this was no ordinary wedding, it was Mihir Arora's wedding and nothing has ever been easy in his life then how could his wedding been an exception.
The dhol stopped playing, the music stopped, the waiters froze with trays full of food and bartender just stood behind the bar with unopened bottles of liquor. Ishita looked around and felt the deceit piercing her soul. She looked at Mihika who was shattered, holding her head in her hands. Ishita looked around the hall and all the beautiful decorations reminded her of the excitement of this upcoming marriage of her little sister Mihika and her rakhi brother Mihir. All of a sudden her eyes met Raman's and before she could react, the beautiful silk fabric that surrounded the mandap ruffled Ishita's face and she was taken back to the happy times.
Flashback: 1 month ago
Ishita: Ramaaan
Raman: Hmmm while getting ready and trying to put a knot in is his tie
I: Aap meri taraf dekho ge
R: Main tumheri tarah akal se pedal nahi hoon, main apne kaan istamal karta hoon sunna ke liye aur akhen dekhne ke liye
Ishita by this point having lost all her patience, marches towards him, snatches the tie and starts knotting the tie around his neck. Raman is startled but is happy that their relationship has moved forward. He doesn't resist Ishita's help, raises his eyes to meet hers but being a perfectionist, she is focused on trying to make the perfect tie knot. He keeps staring at her and how he thanks his stars that he listened to his darling daughter Ruhi and resumed wearing ties. After Shagun had left him, Raman was so focused on being successful and so determined for revenge that he had forgotten his love for family, his sense of style, he had became a soulless man merely breathing to survive. He was living his life in despair and holding onto the hurt to give some meaning to his life.
Jeene ke liye socha hi nahi, dard sambhalane honge
Muskuraoon to, muskurane ke karz utaarne honge
Muskuraoon kabhi to lagata hai
Jaise hontonn pe karz rakhaa hai
That song used to perfectly fit his miserable life but now he is happy that this song and his life got a new beginning, a new meaning. Ishita's words bring him out of his past.
I: Here done, ab mere baat sunoge ya aur tane baki hain.
R: Tano ka to khazana hai mere paas par tum ye chodo aur batao ki tumne meri tie kyon bandhi?
I: Kyunki mard multi task nahi kar sakte, mujhe apse kuch important baat karni hai aur aap tie pe focused the iss...
Raman cutting her sentence in the middle
R: Ek minute chalo mana ki mard multi task nahi kar sakte par tum kya kehna chahti ho, ke aurat multi task kar sakti hain?
I: Of couse, hum aurten sabme multi task kar sakti hain.
R: Thik hai ye bhi maan lete hain, toh phir tumne yeh aakhir sabit kar diya ki tum aurat nahi ho.
I: Kya? Raavan kumar buddhu bhalla kabse ban gaya
R: Are mein to acha pati hoon jo tumhari haar baat maan raha hoon, dekho tumne kaha ki mard multi task nahi kar sakte, maine mana. Phir tumne kaha ki aurat multi task kar sakti hain toh maine who bhi mana, hai ke nahi?
Ishita is n her mind telling herhelf, Haan ravan kumar ne toh sari baatein mani"
Raman snaps his fingers in her face breaking Ishita's thought process
R: Par tumne toh multi task kahan kiya?
Ishita is flabbergasted and lost for words.
R: Tum toh mujhe ghoor rahi thi apne choti choti madrasi aakhon se aur tie bandh rahi thi apne madrasi haathon se.
I: Ab isme meri aakhein or haath se maadrasi ka kya connection.
R: Tum usko chodo mujhe ye bataon ke tum agar aurat hoti toh multi task karti, meri tie bandh ti aur mujhe woh important baat batati joh tum batana chahti thi. Toh prove ho gaya ke tum aurot nahi, ek pagal madrasan ho.
I: Arre to multi task kar to rahi thi na, aapke chehra, apki jaw line, apki chest aur collar bone ko bhi notice kar rahi thi jab ye tie bandh rahi thi...
Ishita couldn't believe what she had blurted out, she stood in her spot fixated with lowered gaze and blush that was creeping over her entire face. Raman was happily surprised and his heart was racing, having heard what Ishita had just said. He started thinking how come he hadn't notice Ishita checking him out and then it dawned on him that he was busy staring at her beautiful face and her perfect body.
The old Raman would have cracked a sarcastic joke and would have showered her with unending taunts but this Raavan kumar was a different man, the old Raman was dying and Raavan kumar was happy with his demise. This new Raavan kumar looked forward to coming home so he could spend time with Ruhi and her isha maa. He looked forward to trying Ishita's new Punjabi recipes but secretly missed her delicious rasam. He looked forward to watching cricket at night to annoy Ishita, and then finally turning the match off so she could continue reading her novel in peace or telling him about her day. He enjoyed sitting in the balcony with her staring at the stars with a comfortable silence between them. After all, silence is pure and holy. It draws people together because only those who are comfortable with each other can sit next to each other for hours without speaking. Raman comes out of his thoughts and looks at Ishita's red face. He turns around and picks up his jacket and heads towards the door, before exiting his room he turns around and stares at his Jhansi ki rani
R: Suno sham ko main 5 baje wapas aa jaonga.
Ishita all embarrassed trying to avoid him so she starts cleaning the room.
I: Ji par aap yeh mujhe kyun bata rahein hain, haar roz 5-6 tak toh aa jate ho
R: Haan par tumhara koi thikana nahi hota, aaj agar late appointments hui toh
I: Toh kya? aur sab to ghar main hain, jase roz hote hain
Raman with a smirk on his face move towards Ishita holds her hand and says,
R: Meri buddho madrasan lekin mein aur sabse toh nahi keh sakta, ki lo ji mere tie nikal do, woh haak to maine sirf ek multi tasking pagal madrasan aurot ko diya hain. Aur haan kal se tie ki knot tum hi bandhne, woh kya hain na mujhe multi tasking madrasi bohut pasand hai.
Saying that, he winks and exits the room.
To be continued. I am thinking of ending this in 4-5 parts.
Part 2: Will be about ishita raman's growing closeness while planning Mihir-Mihika wedding.
All feedback will be appreciated. Depending on how studying goes and how you guys like it, I might update part 2 tomorrow.
If you guys like it, and would like me to PM you when there is an update, let me know in the comment section. Thanks.
