I am with you on that completely Ruchi the problem is we know the fillers exist and are needed for a purpose but recently majority of the epis have become such they seem fillers and that is why as audience we are losing our patience I hope this will change soon with the winding up of at least one track - MiMi'

very well said Aani...
i too felt the similar equation of bala and mihir when we ,the IF have guessed shagun to be his sister.
Mihir could easily get shagun out of his life,as there was no one to bound them together,i mean their mother.
but bala has,who comes here for every function or something even though her son broke ,subbu broke all ties with ishitha. In one of the earliest episodes we see in some function when subbu comes with his wife vandu seems to be mad a bala and for that bala's mother replied that subbu is her son and he will come. But there too bala seems to be sorry for Ishita. Both Mihir and bala are being deceived by their own siblings. But their choice of standing in their right position made them to select their laws,Raman and Ishita respectively. They discarded their flesh and blood relation for their relation that was selected with their hearts. And this is wonderful. I don't feel that the return of Mihir's mother or shagun would hardly make any difference in his attitude. His love and loyalty will always be showered towards Raman. That's why he himself says he is ruhi's chachu not maamu. We dnt know whether Adi know about his Mihir maamu. I guess he know. That's why i guess we dint get a scene between them.
Anyways what we have to wait and see is that while resolving the problems of Mihir and mihika, how will Raman and Ishita will understand themselves and come closer.
i know many of us are waiting for the entry of subbu to make our Raman realise his feelings and we are eagerly waiting to see him in full form of jealousy. But seeing yesterday's a small scene made me realise that that is never needed for him. What they need is to understand each others pain and be each others medicines to heal the wound. Ishita has successfully started doing it even though Raman has not fully told every thing to her. Before his vocal she heals. But Raman had to move a long path in this. Because every emotion of him is overpowered by anger and nowadays the anger is fully showered on Ishita. If ,this time subbu comes,Raman will hurt himself and thus Ishita. They have to take their own time to heal.
in case of Ishita she feels jealous sometimes. But she makes herself believe that Raman will never love her. She doesn't makes him attract. This is what Raman made her believe.
like redwine said everything is related to the growing relation of Raman and Ishita.
did i made it too long...sorry.

I love how you connected the dots and if cv's are really thinking along those lines, that would be great.
It's just I have chosen to not hope for anything right now. It almost feels like even if cv's had something great in their mind at the start, they have become confused halfway. 😆

Indeed, I too was thinking with the material & actors in their hand they still have lot to explore in the show...
If and when Subbu appears
I would like to see each and every feeling in a detailed manner, like
Ishita - Even though she feels she is over Subbu and moved on ,I think she didn't find the closure. All the feelings of betrayal, heart break are bound to come forefront if faced and interacted with him again. She may not want to react but even though she is mahaan & all since she is human too she could loose control and all those things may come crashing on her and it would be interesting to see how Raman acts then.

Raman - With Raman his biggest insecurity is his loved ones leaving him . So with the last few episodes (& with the help of yours & Ruby's analysis) we figured out that he understood Ishita has not really accepted him as a husband then if the Subbu thing comes up it sure spices up his insecurity. His nervousness, hesitation, selfdoubt ,jealousy all will surface and not to forget KP doing all these would be a treat to watch out..And when he accepts his love he is bound to be possessive.

Bravo Aani ...
Lovely thot ... we both know we are on the same page so am not going to add my two cents here on this topic ...

But u brought out a very interesting character in ur post ... that of BALA ... Bala's importance in the relation of Ishita & Raman & also Bala's importance to ishita alone ... have been wanting to talk about him for long but sheer laziness has stopped me from making this post .. so thanx for the opening ..

During the first Param reveal .. what i loved ( after the male BG) was Raman's dialog to bala .. Now a whole lot of people i am sure thot that was for BALA ... but no that discourse was for Ishita & Ishita alone ..Raman was actually not speaking to Bala at all ...

Ok Ok let me pause here ... yes we all know Raman is jealous of Subbu .. or is he ????? is it Subbu ... lets look at that dialog ... he says to bala .. why did u not stand by Ishita when ur brother & mother were against her ... then immediately he says .. its not easy i understand why u cudnt .. cos i was in the same boat ...

Now another interesting scene is ... when Ishita has the perfect pati talk with Bala on the phone .. if u go back view that scene ... it is great son - in law .. some one who cares for his wives needs .. someone who puts his wife on a pedestal ... & then she calls him handsome ...
Lets c what raman did .. he became the perfect son - in law .. he started gifting things to his wife .. he put his wife on a pedestal .. ( aka the Shagun;s fall from grace dance) ... & he preened when that day everyone called him handsome in front of her face ...

Lets go back to the Param reveal dialog .. that dialog was aimed at Ishita .. saying ... EVEN UR PERFECT MAN could ERR ... OFCOURSE... ERR i did ... BUT IN THE END I STOOD UP FOR U ..

Just rewind a bit here ... go to the scene when Ishita is thrown out of home ... Her look back at Raman .. pleading him to be her KNIGHT IN SHINING ARMOR ... that was the first time she looked to HIM & NOT TO BALA ... she expected it out of him .. & he came thru with flying colours ...

I know by now a lot of u r confused ... what the hell is this all about ... its about the PAST ... & its spectre ...

The Subbu problem is dealt with ... note the one ques he asks her ... R U HAPPY in our MARRIAGE .. the sacrifices that ur making is not ruining ur happiness right .. HE NEVER ASKS HER IS SHE IN LOVE WITH SUBBU ...

While Ishita is struggling with the spectre of the past of Raman's ... that of Shagun & her perception of him still being in love with him ... he is struggling with being the MAN for her .. the person whom she will go to FIRST ... THE PERSON WHO WILL NOT LET HER DOWN .. THE PERSON WHO WILL BE HER FIRST PORT OF CALL ... THE PERSON WHO CAN DELIVER A SMILE TO HER FACE ..

The spectre of Being the PERFECT PATI ... to Ishita the perfect man was BALA . the man who stood by his wife thru thick & thin ... which was exactly anti thesis to what Subbu did for her ..

Now link this to the license track .. & the need of Raman's to be THE PERSON TO BRING IT BACK FOR HER .. the many monologues on how it was worth it to bring happiness to her face .. the many times he finally felt he had achieved the impossible he was "THE MAN"in the eyes of his wife ...

Yes bala is central to their romance ... Now as for Ishita understanding Mihir's position ...heres another lens to look at this ...

There have been 2 instances when she has seen Mihir & Shagun together ... & in both cases she has overheard where Mihir's loyalties lie ... RAMAN ... Mihir chose Raman over Shagun his own flesh & blood .. cause it was right ... which is what Ishita will figure out .. It was due to Raman & his dedication to Raman that he left his family ... & today a man who stood for RIGHT was being PENALISED ...

Does this sound similar ... YES ITS SIMILAR TO ISHITA ... MIhir & Ishita .. 2 people who ALWAYS STAND BY RIGHT ..
Now does this make the "jagga jasoos" act more palatable ... the ONLY PERSON who can UNDERSTAND MIHIR ... the only person who can SUPPORT MIHIR .. is ISHITA ... not because of parallels .. but because ... SHE IS MIHIR in her OWN life ...

A woman who has only stood for right ..no matter what it has cost her ,...

During last nights eye lock ... yes i know everyone wanted the "TALK" to happen .. but it would not have happened even if Ruhi had not jumped right in ... Cause ISHITA is not ready for the talk .. note there is a DISTINCT DIFFERENCE In their expressions ...

Now pause here on these expressions ... & go to the expressions during Ishita being thrown out of home ... & compare the tow ... i promise u ,... u will be shocked to see the 2 are similar ..the difference there she was pleading to be understood ...here he is pleading to be understood ...

Raman did understand what Ishita wanted ... but i have my doubts Ishita understood what Raman wanted her to believe

The Talk will happen .. yes it will ... but it will happen only when the Mi mi problem is resolved ... this will bring to light for Raman his "Tyaag ki devi Biwi" .. and for Ishita she will see a glimpse of how Raman has moved on from his past ...

Aani ... hmmm food for thought ...

Like I said, it was sometime during the accident track when Mihir was being touted as the culprit and the first inkling of him being related to Raman had come out when I felt that Bala and Mihir are indeed parallels. If you remember my OS, Halachal Hui Zara Shor Hua, I had categorically made Bala as the cupid between Ishra rather than Mihir, this was one of the subconscious reasons ...

For a while, I had debated that why not let Mihir confront Raman than Bala ... and my grey cells countered that if he is related to him via Shagun then he will be too young when they got married and Raman will be an elder brother like figure for him so either of them will have a relation of mutual respect and love yet they may not be comfortable opening up to each other. Therefore, I decided for Bala.

Coming to your post, I loved your apt description. I for one thinks that it is what the story is moving towards. Remember Neil Trisha engagement and the conversation between Tandon and Ishita. That was the first ever time, Ishita had opened up about her past in front of Raman. She compared her story with theirs to bring a good ending for Mihir and Mihika as well as Neil and Trisha. Although, it was a small hint about her past, yet it was the first time ever.

Kudos to Raj for pulling off both the sides brilliantly.

The parallel between Bala and Mihir. Both of them had hard choices to make. Both of them had to go against "Blood is thicker than water.". Both of them would have gone through their set of inner turmoil. So, I think it will be a brilliant closure if something like this happens.

A true Mohabbatein which is not perfect, yet beautiful. A marriage which will will prove that people with bruised past can have a better life and a beautiful one at that. They can find and feel love.

I will now refer to one of my replies to Ruby's post .. A Tale of Two Brothers ... To save space, I request you to read my reply.

Bhanu lovely post ...

yes i do remember ur earlier post ... it was one sublime read .. coming to this post .. heres what piqued my interest ..

@ Bold 1: The famous Tandon Ishita talk ... if u pay attention to the dialogs .. she says .. she took a hell of a lot of time to get over her past ... & RAMAN HAS STILL NOT GOT OVER HIS FIRST LOVE

Nothing cud've explained Ishita's mind set better ...

@ BOLD 2: ... heres my question .. how are the parallels there ... has BALA cut ties with his brother ..or his MOTHER the instigator of the separation of Ishita & Subbu ... ??? was it Bala who at the Iyers anniversary party stood up for Ishita .. or was it her husband who even while he detested her stood upf for her ...
But MIhir has left his family his sister & mother for the sake of an outsider .. RAMAN ... while Bala took the path of least resistance ...

Well .. Ruby. I agree to disagree and here is how. It is about circumstances.

First and foremost, I do not agree that Raman is an outsider for Mihir and here is how.

When Raman and Shagun got married, Mihir was a teenager. As a teenager, Raman was the elder brother he never had and obviously a new bond was formed in no time. Mihir slowly became an integral part of Bhalla house which was filled with siblings and relatives. Something which was definitely missing from Mihir's life as he had already lost his father and with Shagun being married, his only sibling also gone from his life. So, it is very easy for him to be get attached to them like his own family.

With passing years, things took an ugly turn between his sister and brother in law and now Mihir, who is no more a teenager could exactly make out that all this is his sister's fault. She has purposefully mortified his brother in law's life and ruined the life of her kids as well, who of course Mihir by now will adore beyond any level. He will carry this guilt with him as long as he is breathing.

Yet, he is still not that independent, a young blood and brain on top of it ... so the only way for him to prove and show his loyalty to the man whom he now respects and loves as an elder brother is denounce his relationship with his sister and accept the borrowed family. If you look at Mihir, he does not respect Raman, he worships him ... to the point that he was ready to forego Mihika as well.

Now, coming up to Bala. Bala got married to Vandu in this late twenties or early thirties, a mature man at that. (Assuming, both are professors and being a Professor's daughter, I will kill the CV's if they do not show both of them as PHD. 😆😆) So, he completely supports his brother and sister in law's relationship and is very happy, yet when it breaks at the end moment due to the cowardness of his brother, he follows a safe path.

He definitely does not support his brother. His stances time and again show that. He supports his in laws pretty well. Vandu and Bala are the most stable and normal couple in the show. He keeps a safe distance from his family altogether and supports Ishita in every which way possible. Refer to tracks where he lunged at Romy for Mihika, or when he immediately went to get a bail for Ishita or when he has a heart to heart talk with Ishita.

His strained relationship with his brother is evident even in intial episodes when Vandu confronts him that we had categorically decided that either Subbu or Ishita will attend the ceremony. He promises her that Subbu will not come, he has already talked to him. Look at the scene, when Bala finds Subbu, he never acknowledges him, he is shocked.

He is also carrying the same guilt with him that his brother ruined his sister in law's life and he tries to mend in his own way.

Moreso, I open another can of worms with this next bit.

In my personal view, what Shagun did was a crime because by choosing her other life, she not only ruined the life of Raman, but two innocent souls who will forever be pulled between two set of parents and have an abnormal childhood. In my personal opinion, a husband and wife can separate, but a mother and father cannot. It is simply cruel.

However, what Subbu did was simply cowardliness. He did not commit a crime. It was a mistake and that too is one side of the coin. If we really look at the other side, how many of us do not think of kids when we envision our lives with our partners? Lets face it. All of us do. It is simply the choice he made. He was not ready to accept an alternative ending to his happily ever after. And in my personal view, it did good to Ishita, because her truth would have surely come out eventually and that would have ruined her life in an unrepairable manner because then she will be forever stuck in a marriage where she will still hope for eternal love and support in her difficult times, but her man will no longer be able to return the same to her.

So, in my view, indeed they are parallels. Both of them went against their own blood in their own manner and supported the better halves of their siblings.
