Woaah ... I had the same thought ages ago when I had just started watching this series during accident track ... you reminded me of the same.

Aani ... hmmm food for thought ...
Hey Bhanu thanks
Like I said, it was sometime during the accident track when Mihir was being touted as the culprit and the first inkling of him being related to Raman had come out when I felt that Bala and Mihir are indeed parallels. If you remember my OS, Halachal Hui Zara Shor Hua, I had categorically made Bala as the cupid between Ishra rather than Mihir, this was one of the subconscious reasons ...
Yep I rem that OS in fact I asked for a sequel 😉😆
For a while, I had debated that why not let Mihir confront Raman than Bala ... and my grey cells countered that if he is related to him via Shagun then he will be too young when they got married and Raman will be an elder brother like figure for him so either of them will have a relation of mutual respect and love yet they may not be comfortable opening up to each other. Therefore, I decided for Bala.
I agree Bala is and was the more apt choice. Mihir is closer to Raman but there is also a line that makes Raman someone Mihir looks upto and he can go for any matter to Raman but the reverse doesnt stand true, being an elder sibling has its own pros and cons 😳
Coming to your post, I loved your apt description. I for one thinks that it is what the story is moving towards. Remember Neil Trisha engagement and the conversation between Tandon and Ishita. That was the first ever time, Ishita had opened up about her past in front of Raman. She compared her story with theirs to bring a good ending for Mihir and Mihika as well as Neil and Trisha. Although, it was a small hint about her past, yet it was the first time ever.
Yep she spoke for the first time openly about that to save two couples but honestly I am still unclear as to whether Raman heard her on the day cos he was standing quite away from her and Ishita wasn't being so loud
So, I think it will be obvious for her to draw the same comparison when Shagun's truth eventually comes out. In yesterday's episode, while Mihika was unhappy from Mihir (that is another side of the story. Mihir is getting married to that woman. She has a RIGHT to know about his life .. be it his darkest secrets. In fact, I was like shocked when Mihika said, I think Akka should talk to him. I felt she would say I will talk to him. But then, somewhere down the line, we are constantly reminded that this is indeed a serial and not real life.) Sorry for the ranting ... So, in yesterday's episode, Mihikar was angry from Mihir ... but Ishita chose to view the logical side of it .. the impartial viewer who understood the other side of the coin.
Oh Mihika being angry with Mihir is completely valid but I think sending Ishita had a reason, which was that Mihika was quite angry and upset and probably didnt want to blast Mihir full on, the girl kept her head steady but then you see she comes to the Bhalla home and hears Mihir' words she is shocked and stunned all over again and this time her temper comes to the fore... in an amazing way her pair with Mihir is doing wonders for her... she is becoming a calmer person who thinks before she acts because of his influence. But his fear I understand it too which made him act so and still does - he is ashamed of what his sis did, she was publicly disowned because of it which isnt taking it lightly and he fears that should the Iyers or any other girl' parents learn he is related to an adulterer they might view him through the same lens and question his sense of fidelity
Mihir who has no one of his own, has tried to find solace in a borrowed family will definitely be at his vulnerable best if he is asked to share his darkest secret. He will obviously overreact and there he did. Later on, the same guy, upon realizing his mistake, honestly comes home and bares his soul in front of his new family, makes honest promises and his eyes tell the tale that he will be dead if not for Mihika. No wonder, the guy is desperate to marry her.
Kudos to Raj for pulling off both the sides brilliantly.
I loved Raj last night, the guy is so alone and in Mihika he has found the one person he wants to start a family with, his desperation is also owing to the fact that he no longer wants to return to an empty home... ever wonder why he isnt like one of those guys who wants a girl who cleans and cooks? He can do all of that himself - better than Mihika 😆 - but he just wants someone to come home to someone to hold and love and call his own that is all, he has no other expectations
The parallel between Bala and Mihir. Both of them had hard choices to make. Both of them had to go against "Blood is thicker than water.". Both of them would have gone through their set of inner turmoil. So, I think it will be a brilliant closure if something like this happens.
Yep they both had made the choice of the right thing over the easy one and I think this is where the parallels will be drawn and Mihir as a character would gain a new dimension from being a shadow, mentee and loverboy to a person with a very strong sense of right and wrong
A true Mohabbatein which is not perfect, yet beautiful. A marriage which will will prove that people with bruised past can have a better life and a beautiful one at that. They can find and feel love.
this is what makes the show amazing to me - it is not about one love and true love... it is about LOVE... a person in a real world doesnt pine forever for their ex, a part of their heart may carry that flame but eventually it becomes only a memory too you have to live in the present and cant always look behind for that I will now refer to one of my replies to Ruby's post .. A Tale of Two Brothers ... To save space, I request you to read my reply.

I think it somehow connects the dots in this post as well as to why is each and every character behaving the way they are.
totally concur
So, all in all, I for one want to believe in the following things at this point.
1. Even though it will definitely have a lot of speed breakers, MiMi marriage will happen for sure. In fact, I have an inkling that going by Ashok's character, he may create problems in MiMi marriage later on .. but that is something to be pondered later on.
I so agree on this too and Ashok gets some kinda high from chasing married women it seems... if you ask me that says a lot about the guy and makes you question how was he raised and by whom 😳
2. Shagun will definitely be facing abandonment however when and how is to be decided because she may look as the dumb blonde but a woman who can put all her relationships at stake for the sake of a life with all the glamor and glitz will definitely leave no stone unturned to keep it.
yep honestly I think she will end up as Mrs. CK 😆the saas will be sorry he meddled in his bro' life
3. Simi and Param .. Will Simmi ever realize Param's truth and more importantly will she accept it or decide to live with it because at the end of the day, Param though a creep is loyal to her which makes his character real?
he molests girls how does it make him loyal Bhanu? cheating is not just done when both parties are willing ... in chasing other women he is already being disloyal and he is a monster at that... I guess he kept his word because he swore by his child which makes him loyal to his own blood and not his wife
4. Of course, the most important Ishra. With all these interesting twists and turns, how and when will these two damaged souls cross the bridge and find their Mohabbatein.
oh KP answered that 500 epis 😆😉
