Aani a bang on post. This Param track is being handled in too silly way. Especially with Amma's dumb plans and Raman trying to blackmail Param emotionally. How could one even think that a molester will be loyal to his wife that he will reform 😕 Chalo manlete hai that Raman wants to make Param majboor that he can't take care of his family infront of Simmi. But will that change Simmi's love for him? When she doesn't believe that her husband molested her Bhabhi, all these silly things won't matter to her.
Now coming to IshRa scenes, yep we are getting them without Soul. Their is no motive behind those scenes. These two have been doing things for each other since long time. What's next? No profound realization from both!!

Romi Sarika are definitely for fillers.

I hope CVs pull up their socks now and think wisely about the tracks. The show being aired at 11 is working because of the story line and amazing character sketch. Why will I be awake till 11 to watch fillers?!?

And Nikki totally agree with your points.

I am actually quite enjoying the track and even the subplots tbh. Because I kind of trust the makers when they lead a story. So far in all these months they've taken IshRa ahead in leap and bounds. Some because of the family issues, some because of Ruhi and a lot because they understood better about the other. So I guess their intention of keeping IshRa static for a while can be understood. But amidst all these tracks their moments and growing understanding and relation is evident.

Though of course I totally agree that the scenes tend to get repetitive and need to have a change and also of course more screen space.

What I really find erroneous is that they start a track very well, but the conclusion is always raced. The show has somehow lost its continuity too. Emotional moments and scenes tend to be forgotten too soon (read: The Ruhi Raman moment)

And yes too much comedy and lack of sensitivity is also something that's irking. The show needs to treat at least one subject in the show with more sensitivity and less of comedy. The Param track as you said has a lot of subject to it, but its being misused too.

All in all I enjoy all the episodes, barring a few. But there's a LOT of room for improvement. 😊

Aani, first of all, your post made me come out of my guests in home become a good bahu 😛 exile.

Secondly, to understand this situation better, I for once will like to be in shoes of the CV's and think from their POV.

Facts from CV's POV:

1. The serial started with a mature plot line and has made its presence felt across the globe due to its fresh approach.
2. The TRP's are sky high considering the time slot.
3. The cute banter between the protagonists gave the highest ever TRPs.

Targets from CV's POV:

1. Maintain the TRP.
2. Come out with a better TRP each and every week.
3. Keep the viewer interest quotient maintained for as long as possible.
4. Come up with more tracks before the ongoing ones reach their end.

Analysis from CV's POV:

I am getting excellent TRPs. I am a CV and I know that the mind of an average audience of the show wants the protagonists to consummate their marriage and it is the final step of acceptance. It is the perfect ending "And they happily lived ever after" to a "Once upon a time there was a handsome prince and a beautiful prince". Come on, this is what the audience want. So, how do I keep them hooked? If I show them the happy ending, tada, they will immediately start looking for the remote of their idiot box. Help. Solution. Eureka.

Bingo. I will give my viewers a million hints of physical intimacy, put my protagonists in so many awkward situations time and again and yet end them abruptly without any of them even touching or kissing each other ... this way, my viewers will be glued to this series.

My two pence on this thought: --> As you have already mentioned in LU, the rest is left to viewers imagination, and I do not need to remind anyone that apparently it is our imagination or yearning for it which brings us together on this platform and speak out, write fictions about characters, fantasize, do gutterpanti, so and so forth.

Secondly, yet again from a CV's POV, I am no fool. I am the creative. I know very well that there is a limit to where I can procrastinate the confession scene. And, am well aware, that like all serials, after confession, I will HAVE to show MU to keep the viewers hooked, because they will be bored with sugary sweetness in a while and lets face it, Indian audience will not accept the protagonists with a pinch of salt. Once they sleep together, they cannot be at loggerheads with each other anymore. They will have to be romantic.

So, I better be ready for all the sub-plots. So, I start multi-tracks immediately.

Now, my POV on Ishra and Sub-Plots
------------------------------------------------------------------

Against the popular wave, I am fine with the movement of sub-plots and my only problem is Ishra plot sluggishness. They are definitely putting the wrong foot forward in Ishra relationship progress. And that too, my problem in not the pace of their realization, its the slow pace. I fully understand the downside of living in a joint family and dealing with hazaar tensions at one go, it definitely affects the ME time or for them the US time.

The problem definitely is not the pace. The problem is the treatment. I refuse to believe that there is no physical attraction whatsoever between the protagonists now. They should be more aware of each other now, if not awkward, at least some tinkling of some progress, but there is a definite disconnect. One day, Raman is affected by the Button pop scene and they are awkward, next day they are normal, then they are put in an extremely intimate situation in the shower, and the next day, they are back to their banter of Baingan vs Haldi ka Dabba.
Believe me, even my mind tried to argue that both of them come with a baggage and have purposefilly shied away from intimacy of any kind and that is why they are not aware of it, yet, my grey cells immediately counter question, till when? They cannot just jump on the bed and do it ... they have to be more aware of each other.
The shower scene and its after effects have been analyzed to death, so not going there, the missing piece of puzzle for me it he follow up days. I wanted to see an awkward Ishra exchange. Something on the lines of both of them trying hard to bring the normalcy and yet again landing on the same platform. An example could be the same baingan and haldi scene where a small touch of hand, may be Raman placing his hand on Ishita's shoulder brings the memory and they get awkward for a while ... it does not need to be much, it does not need to be more, it does not need to be forced ... all we need is to maintain pace and continuity. Some followup, not discontinuity.

Anyway, let us now move on to the sub-plots. To be frank, I am fine with all the tracks:

1. Amma: Staring with the biggest point. Amma who is irking everyone. My mind has long ago accepted that when Neena ji was given the narration of the character, the main points will be. She is the mother of the protagonist who is eccentric, over the top, core South Indian woman.
Hats off to her to pull it off nicely, I think, her eccentric ways to bring down Param have ended up in Ishra being together, and it the plot of CV's (refer my earlier section) to tallofy the confession.

2. Param - Simmy track.

Param is one of my favourite characters of the show. And contrary to the popular belief, I loved the part on Saturday and yesterday. He is someone who is actually real. Someone who is very much present in the society.
While he is conniving and deceitful to be the least, yet he is a man who loves his wife and his child, a real character. He has a loose character, yet when it comes to his own family, he is different. He DID NOT, i repeat DID NOT, take the money from Ashok and though am sure he will try some other evil way to bring the money, he still respected his wife's words. To me, it is something different, something acceptable and something agreeable. We live in a grey world. Param is a true grey character.

I will now refer to one of my replies to Ruby's (RedWine1) post earlier. She had urged me to make it a new post but I was a lazy ass to do it ..

Quoting myself,
I know the forum is going mad over Simmi's behavior and while it makes me mad as well, a part of me silently goes out for the woman in her. She is the classic portrayal of an average woman in the Indian society. Reminds me of my mother in law's words, "Aadmi hi sab kuch hai aur ek aurat ki pehchaan uske aadmi se hai.". While it has been a matter of eternal debate between both of us ... I have long ago resigned to the fact that it is impossible to change her outlook at her age ... sadly, it is the true face of the society.

So, for someone like Simmi, who was supposed to believe that a woman is supposed to marry and raise a family as a good homemaker from the time she opened up her eyes is bound to react in this manner. For her, being associated with a man's name is her license of security, her shield, her dignity. Taking this from her will mean is equivalent to stripping her in public, shame for her and of course, her daughter. Therefore, the woman in her is desperately trying to hold on the last straw so that she can save herself from this drowning relationship.

She conveniently blames Ishita because she is the exact anti-thesis of Simmi. A working, educated, no-nonsense woman, who is balancing her personal and professional life amazingly and even Simmi has begrudgingly accepted (Refer to the sections where she continuously taunts Raman that he listens to her Beewi or his life is becoming better day by day)that she has provided the much needed equilibrium in her brother's mundane life. And this same woman did not hesitate to bring the real face of Param in front of the family. There may be hundreds of Sarika who may have been molested by Param, but Ishita will always hit home ... because, yet again, we are hurt by people whom we love ... (Simmi though initially skeptical of this marriage, had been supportive of the relationship between Raman and Ishita in her sort of way)

End of Quote

So, in my view, Simmi and Param are playing their character to the tee and am fine with it. They are doing what they are supposed to do. It is the protagonists who are playing dumb.

Romi Sarika: track is Romi and Sarika. Yet again, am fine with it. In my POV, this is what is going to happen. Romi, who is no mood to commit, has the first inkling of love and is trying in his funny way to make his presence in Sarika's life. However, later on, he has many a challenges to face,

1. Can someone who has not found the ground for himself promise the same to her?
2. Parmeet and Sarika angle. He has to take a stand on this front.
3. Is he ready to settle down?
4. He also has a history which Sarika is not aware of. When it comes back to haunt him, how does it affect them?

All these issues will be taken care, right now, it is just the preamble and the comic relief in the show and honestly, am not complaining.

4. Finally, the biggest one: The biggest sub-plot .. on second thoughts, I do not know if it is a sub-plot at all. It involves so many people.

Mihika-Mihir-Shagun-PP ... in turn affects Ishita-Raman-Ruhi-Adi in turn affects Bhalla house in turn affects Iyer house. So each and everyone is affected by this angle.

In my POV, they have purposefully, stalled marriage of MiMi to concentrate on Ishra confession, as there is no way they will confess to each other, while their world is turned upside down once Mihir-Shagun relationship is out or Ashok throws away Shagun from his life.

So, they bring in Param, dangle between a conniving and redeeming Param and play safe with confession.

And for me, it is ok ... Param being my favorite, am not complaining, It is only the much needed progress in their relationship which irks me a bit.

But, still am ok ... as of now.

@btalwar - WOW you've said what was in my mind, in such a perfect way. Brilliantly put. I totally agree to what you said. Amazing post 👏

I agree, it isn't the pace that troubles me, its the treatment and continuity that irks.

I have to disagree with you here Aani. I never wanted Param back with the Bhallas. No matter what nothing can justify bringing your molester back to live with you. It is plain stupidity. After that, it is easy to explain any track the CVs come up with. Mrs Iyer's juvenile antics gave rise to one of the most intimate moments Ishita and Raman have shared. I know there are better ones but the bathroom incident definitely makes to the top five. Not because of the eye lock but the feelings it lead to. In her attempts to ruin the day for Param, she is bringing her daughter and son-in-law closer. I only wish her ideas were a little more clever. But then, she has always been dramatic.
Coming to Romi, I think the writers are planning something big here linked with Param. Though I do not support the idea of Param living with the Bhallas, the writers definitely have an ulterior motive which is yet to be revealed and I think it involves Romi. It was kind of reinforced when Toshiji started questioning Romi-Sarika. May be, this is just the experience of watching Balaji shows talking but it is what I feel.
The accident track was too long but it ended on a high note following which the show started going downhill. It is possible the writers couldn't think of what to do next. The scenes seem so disconnected. This without considering the shoddy editing.
Now my favouriate part. The Khannas. Those scenes manage to crack me up because I see two people fighting for Ashok's attention. Suraj is like a child who is possessive of his parent and does everything in power to keep ruin Ashok and Shagun's relation because he wants Ashok all for himself. It will be awesome if Suraj and Shagun end up together.😆
Last, but not at all the least-Rinki is in the background as a photo. Cheaper, you see.😆
P.S. Do you mind telling me which show? 😆 I am very curious. I don't like it when people tease like this.😛😆

Rightly said dear!
bang on post and hope CVs really buck up and not just beat around the bush

Exactly my POV for Mrs Iyer's ways to punish the person who tried to molest her daughter. It is quite childish and silly to make such plans. Stopping the water, breaking the bed, oh God, it sounds so silly and even kids these days plan better to play pranks on their friends. yes, these really sound like childish naughty pranks and nowhere seems like a mother teaching a lesson to a pervert who harassed and tried to rape her own daughter!

Next is Raman's plans. it isnt foolproof again. he had messed it up last time and didnt prove it clearly last time before the family and Simmi. This time around too, this plan has no guarantee that Simmi will throw her pati dev out of her life.
I mean come on, Raman insults her poojya pati dev. SHe would only sympathize and incline towards Param more. I am only surprised why she didnt tell Param that they will go to his place rather than staying at Bhalla house and taking in all these insults.
I wont be surprised if Simmi gets pregnant again by the time she realizes his true colors...Afterall Param hai hi bohat tez inn maamlon mein...and he is not like Raman who has the policy, "NO touching only seeing" 😆

That said, ab toh seeing bhi nahi hai 😕

Raman-Ishita story never moves. They take a step forward and then take 4 steps backward. Shower scene, cactus - gulaab scene, the blushing, the embarrassment everything was left half way abruptly. They just brought in a distraction right at the moment and then all forgotten. They are back to their normal just for Ruhi and taane baazi!

It is not at all clear on where they stand now. Atleast a good conversation should have been there. They just left it all hanging. It seems like CVs are scared to take their story forward and wants to just keep stretching as long as they can.
Kal ke episode hi le lo...biwi paas aake beiti hai bed pe...aur Raavan laptop ke andar gussa hai...aisa kya interesting dekh raha tha 😉

Anyways will stop for now...thoda kal keliye bhi rakhthi hoom...aaj bohat zyadha hogaya.but I couldnt help pouring out...😆

One more question, what the hell happened to Ishita's cooking challange with Raman and PP ji- I am not complaining about her going missing, she is free to go back to Japan- but to vanish in thin air!! 😳

@bold - word Oishi I like shows which have humor but then again this isnt Sarabhai where that is what the show is all about and in dealing with a molester they are resorting to gimmicks 😕😳

@red- the lady who plays PP is now busy with the new star show called cousins 😆 so I guess date issues must have put a halt to her track since the show is so new they might need all of cast more there than here

Tushara that is the issue can molesters be reformed? Its not like this guy is into drugs or smoking or drinking all vices which can be treated with family support and proper guidance saying a molester can change under pressure to earn from his wife is like saying the sun will rise at night and moon will be out in the day🤪
