To me there should be a third option at least saying "both yes and no". Subu's decision is not just black or white. It has many shades in between.
For some die hard lovers it would be no matter what they would want to be the one they love, regardless of their physical incapability of giving them child and also it goes for male or female.
And for some it would not mean that they don't love a person, but they also would want to have a feel of being a biological parent. Subu did want that. Be it his mother's pressure or his own desire, it did matter to him.
And to most people it does matter. Now many will say they can adopt and so and so, but I already cleared biological child not an adopted child. I am not sure if Raman would have married her if he was unmarried and did not have kids knowing Ishu can't reproduce. It works out for both of them, so it looks fine, but the way he loves his son and the happiness Shagun has given him matters more than anything else in the world prove that he cares to be a father so much and so did Subu!!

@bold, Wow...I really never thought this way. What Subbu did, Raman too most probably would've done the same if he dint have kids. And, his love for his kids and cherishing of memories of shagun as their mothers, surely proves that he wanted to be a father always.

Everyone has the right to live the way they choose to. She couldn't give him children, he wanted his own biological child like most men do. It was better to not marry her than to have regrets or treat her badly had her married her.

Very relevant point. I'm also unsure what Raman would've done. Isee it this way- If Raman were unmarried and not in love with Ishita, there were a possibility he wouldn't have married her. But If unmarried Raman were in love with Ishita at that time, he would've no hesitation to marry her.

Each and everyone has right to take decision for their life Untill it hurts others.
As a man subbu has see dream he will marry ishita and will have kid but that dream was broken and he concentrated more on that broken dream than a person with whom he want to share that happiness means ishita. It shows that he gave more importance to that broken dream than his relation with ishita.
It's his choice that he want to marry ishita or not after knowing truth. He choose to leave her but his way was wrong. He left her by saying that their love is not enough and for any married life kids must be there.
It's not always about yes or no but depend on human nature

About raman very valid
Raman might left ishita or marry her if he was also in subbu place
Raman has shown as realistic character. He might not be shown mahan and said I will marry her and kid doenst matter to him. He might be in dilemma that what to do

Our answer is given in Wednesday episode where he was ask to choose between shagun and ruhi and it was difficult for him but at the end he choose shagun that doesn't mean he hates ruhi but for him shagun was most important (not anymore)
So there can be chance that he might have choose ishita but after gping through many emotional turmoil. It's about to whom you give more important 😊

I feel Subbu was totally Wrong... coz he claims he loved Ishita... and leaving a girl due to her disability to produce is not an excuse in love... It means he nvr loved Ishita... he shuld be her pillar of strength in bad phase of her life... not to leave her alone...
And love and kids are different concept... the one who makes u father may be not the one who loves u.( shagun raman case)
Subbu can leave Ishita if they have disputes or clashes of mind... but the reason he gave ws rubbish...
what if he realises this truth after marraige or may be if he would be the one incapable of having kids n not ishu then? just bcoz he came to knw the truth b4 marraige!

Anyways thnksss Subbu ... !!!
