How did the Shagun and Raman love story start?

It was an arranged marriage. It showed near beginning weeks of the show as a flashback. they first met Shagun as Raman's wife and became friends.

I have been watching the show since the beginning but left watching it around January - April. But I did catch up on them (by forwarding scenes which did not have Ishra 😆)

I mean how did Raman and Shagun love story start?
Not comparing it to the frugal movie but was it like Rab Ne banadi Jodi? When the female lead's father dies and asks her to get married to Suri Paaji? An that's why we are never introduced to Shagun's side of the family? (Which may also show mihir and Shagun are siblings as we never saw Mihirs family?)

But then again.. Whenever Raman and Shagun meet each other at thier 'friends' party. They are always like you made such a awesome couple and all?

Ahh - I'm confused.. Help me out please!

You can hear Shagun's mom saying that Shagun is so beautiful and that Shagun wanted to go into modelling or something but Shagun's parents want her to get married to an employed man "kamaane wala ladka". Raman was sort of a dweeb back then and he sat on the dining table getting a drink of water and trying to catch a glimpse of Shagun, who was in the sitting area partially blocked by a brigade of aunties. And he saw her and she saw him and smiled and he smiled like a dork/lovestruck fool. And thats the moment he 'fell in love' with her.</font>

<font face="Georgia, Times New Roman, Times, serif">No mention was made of Mihir at the time nor his relationship to Shagun. As far as I know, no one has outright said that Mihir is Shagun's brother. Apparently neither Shagun nor Mihir have any other family.</font>

<font face="Georgia, Times New Roman, Times, serif">But its also funny because Raman did mention to Ishita that his and Shagun's mutual friends (like the friend from the Valentine's Day party) were all college buddies so perhaps they had a dual connection?</font>
