Raman knows the magnitude of the decision he has made today, that cab scene shows that he is immensely guilty for doing ishita wrong.
As for ananya, she will be fine without parmeet. she is growing up in a healthy environment with a doting family but is that a same case with adi? he is already severely damaged by his parents' messy divorce, on top of that he was raised in a toxic environment which damaged him further. in all this, shagun is the only adult in his life who he finds solace in, if that sense of security is taken away then what will happen? Raman was proven an abusive father in court, and adi hates him so they will think twice before handing him over to raman. that leaves him in the uncaring hands of ashok, and raman does not want that for his son.

If this was only about justice, then he would hand shagun over to the police no question asked but this effects adi as well. as shown previously, raman feels guilty about adi being caught between his parents during their bitter divorce and custody battle

I disagree with you. If Raman feels Shagun will be a good influence on
Adi even after knowing what she did then going by that logicParam will be a good father to Ananya too.No matter how small the child is the kid needs a father and no one replace that void in ones life.I

He is a hypocrite .he is ready to punish anyone including his brother but when it comes to his own son he becomes selfish and every criminal is a son or daughter to someone and will have children. Can we overlook all their mistake?

If he is really a good father then he should set right examples for his son and he should try to get Adi out of this mess by fighting for his custody This would have been an perfect opportunity to do but he gave Adi an impression that no matter what mistake he commits he will protect him.

Adi was one of the reason to protect Shagun...he himself has soft corner for her otherwise he would not have reciprocated her hug.For him Shagun and their son matter the most.He values Shagun n the called memories but conveniently forgets the good times spent with his daughter n his present wife.

I feel like this is slowly becoming a moot point.

that hug meant nothing, raman wasn't in the right right heads-pace and probably didn't even know what he was doing. I'm not saying that I condone what raman has done but I understand what why he did it. adi is his biggest weakness- he loses all capability to think . Raman needs to give his son a dose of tough love but he does not understand that! he thinks giving into him means he will earn his approval. how can he even refuse when adi calls him papa after such a long time? again, I'm not saying what raman did was right, he royally screwed up here but I understand his predicament. it is not because of shagun, it is because of adi's physcological state, which is already fragile.

I agree. Even Sarika felt guilty about giving statement against Ishita, Romi was guilty about the SMS, but that doesnt make it Right. Raman went all out to to get justice then But Shagun says It was a mistake and Adi says please...you let it go!!!

Raman was emotionally blackmailed by both Shagun and Adi.

And Raman fell for it. Guilt played a big part in his dilemma today. That said.

Does it excuse his decision to not tell Ishita what really happened. I don't think so.

Does it excuse his decision to shirk his parental responsibility to his son to teach him to grow up to be a decent and truthful adult. No.

Does he think that Shagun has taught him in all these years to be a respectful child with good manners. Obviously No.

A parents first responsibility is to teach their child Right from Wrong. And Raman failed miserably in that.

I hope he does the Right thing after some soul searching and makes the decision that will show his son that he will not be manipulated by guilt and emotional blackmail to do the wrong thing in helping and abetting a serious crime like Hit and Run.

My question is? Raman is a smart guy, do you think that he will believe Shagun word or he just playing along because of Adi. Do some investigation on his own.
