We never expect our family member on road.. laying unconscious.. in a pool of blood .. Even to see any stranger in that condition brings tears, Then how could a person feel when they have to live that moment ... carry there own family member and look for Help emotionally and physically ... look for someone to say EVERYTHING WILL BE ALRIGHT.

There is a difference here with normal SIL and RAMAN as mostly they lived far away from you but here they are living next to you , So Care, Love, affection is more in this case.

I would definitely say for me that was a genuine emotion.

I agree with u
He was at least showing emotions unlike those people who were standing there just staring the tamasha
raman here was crying to call for am ambulance and there they were just standing with no emotional
he then had to drive her to the hospital
I see no OTT with his behavior
and if he hadn't cried and just called "Amma" emotionlessly then also people here would have said oh see I didn't like how raman was all without emotion and all you know what I mean

And about being strong and controlling Ishu well he was alone at the road that time anyone can get shocked and feel this wat there was no one to control him or for him to control anyone...so it was justified and all perfect...in fact if I was there or anyone from my family would have reacted the same

I think it was genuine emotion.. Raman may not have had the ideal start to his relationship with ishita and her family.. but at this point he is attached to his In laws a lot.. they practically live together.. and just seeing her on the road like that was so sudden that getting scared and crying for help was normal..
I wish My husband who ever he is is like that..

I believe when we hear of someone's passing awa or someone being on death bed we get a chance to brace ourselves for the sadness to come.. it doesn't make the sorrow any less.. but just that out inner conscience makes us ready to face it in some way.. accidents like that just hit you and you are left to just react to it in a naked vulnerable manner.. I hope no one has to find out ever how 1 will react in such condition... but for me i think it was not OTT...
