its not about the how long the relations have been but how the relation has grown in short span!!!
It was purely not an OTT...atleast for me... here they hve shown for amma MIL

but in my case..when my BIL passed away and was in hosptial before the tragedy took place... i was not even in my hometown to support my family but my husband did everything a-Z for my BIL and sis ... for 3 months...

I could see it so genuine yesterday as i have seen it in real when my husband did... Blessed to have him in my life...

Am with koolsadhu... ott for me too.

When my mum passed on, my husband was sad and had tears in his eyes, but I think it was because I was crying so hard. Not that he did not care for my mum... but I think he was sadder to see his wife and children sob.

But then again -- it must have been quite a shock to see someone you know , on the road bleeding> that might bring about a emotional reaction.

These are Human emotions which NO one can predict, even We can't predict our reactions, our own Emotions!!

We never expect our family member on road.. laying unconscious.. in a pool of blood .. Even to see any stranger in that condition brings tears, Then how could a person feel when they have to live that moment ... carry there own family member and look for Help emotionally and physically ... look for someone to say EVERYTHING WILL BE ALRIGHT.

There is a difference here with normal SIL and RAMAN as mostly they lived far away from you but here they are living next to you , So Care, Love, affection is more in this case.

I would definitely say for me that was a genuine emotion.
