so here it is...

Part 2:

The coffee was long over but the lull of silence set in again. They sat in silence for god knows how long.

She wanted to speak a lot but one look at him and all her words got struck in her throat. Her courage drained away bringing Jhansi ki rani back to square one. She couldn't pretend as if nothing was wrong and speak to him casually as she did always in the past. Today it felt all different.

He couldn't deny that he felt a unique peace in her presence! Unaware of himself, he craved for more of that time. He wanted the time to stop there, as if dreading the time when she would get up to leave and then he would be all alone in that house where dark shadows of Shagun's betrayal and her dumping him pricked and tormented him endlessly.

He couldn't bear this loneliness any more but he felt he didn't have a choice. But now, when Ishita sat before him, a hidden longing, a wish seemed to sprout within him. He was indeed forgetting the reality and getting lost in the time she was near him. He was urged to get back to the time when neither Shagun nor Subbu were between them.

But he knew that it wasn't possible but his heart was constantly refusing to accept the reality that Ishita can never be his now. Without acceptance, he was trying to come in terms with it.

Though he tried to come in terms with it, he realized that she was his medicine. Ishita's presence gave him what he was yearning for...he didn't want to lose that but even in those moments, he couldn't understand what he was actually feeling for her...he was confused.

Meanwhile her state was quite different. She wasn't confused about what she felt for him even today. She never really got to forget him and her love for him though she tried with all her strength. She knew it was a sin to even think about him when she was committed to Subbu but then does anyone have a control over a crazy heart. Perhaps that is why God...Her thoughts ceased there and she didn't want to even think about such a thing.

But she wanted to be there for him as a friend...to comfort him...to give him peace, solace...to give him happiness...to give him whatever it takes to make him live his life again.

To change him back to the Raman Kumar Bhalla she had always known and loved.

An hour must have passed with her waiting for him to say something to her but he didn't open his mouth. She tried to get up muttering something but he instantly spoke up cutting her short. It was his fear of letting her go away speaking impulsively.

"Ishita, main baahar jaa raha hoom...I will drop you home"

He managed to say that but his mind and heart was speaking different words altogether. It seemed to echo to her not to leave him alone and go.

He also wanted to get out from the confines of these walls which were suffocating him and breathe in fresh air!!

They set off together and to her surprise, he didn't go towards her place. He turned to a different direction. She wasn't sure of whether she wished for this outing with him or not but she silently sat waiting to know where he intended to take her. She realized that for the first time today, silence preceded all their fights and egoistic banters. Perhaps it was the situations they were both in, that made this silent togetherness more soothing and comforting than a casual chat. She didn't break this silence, neither did he do it. Perhaps their hearts had already exchanged their thoughts and decided to let it be.

A little into that route, she realized where they were heading for. The union of the blue seas and the light blue skies were becoming clearer as they left behind big buildings and busy traffic. He stopped the vehicle towards the side of the road. It was an isolated, not so frequented beach. She had been there before with him, actually just before her engagement with Subbu. She had been excited hoping for a confession from him but it turned out to be a shock when she realized that Subbu was there too and Raman had actually set up the surprise date for her and Subbu. With unshed tears in her eyes, she remembered how she had to walk away from Raman with her hands entwined with Subbu's

She couldn't forget those moments even today and she flared up at him accusingly, "Why are we here Raman?"

Her anger sort of comforted him. It reflected to him that she had never enjoyed her previous trip with him to this place which directly told him that she never liked the date with Subbu. He knew that it was useless and a grave mistake to think of such things now but he couldn't deny the truth that it felt good to his broken heart.

Raman had never told her how difficult it was to see her going away with Subbu. His heart had bled when Subbu held her hands and took her away from him. It wasn't Raman who set up that date for her and Subbu as she had assumed. Subbu had wanted to spend some quality time with her and know her better. So he had got the help from Raman who was Ishu's best friend and neighbour to bring her out of her house. There was no time for discussions or clarifications then. Even today, he didn't want to broach back on that topic.

He just wanted to live this moment where he felt happy and peaceful with her near him.

He got down and started walking towards the blue water. She was confused by his silence but followed him closely without a question, not even an enquiring look. She assumed that may be he needed this...may be he wanted to talk to someone...may be he wanted her company.

But she didn't know what lay ahead of all those thoughts and what lay deep inside him.

The sea was calm today just like him in her presence...He breathed in a fresh whiff of air and spoke, "You know Ishita, this is my favourite place"

Yes she knew that and also felt that he would have happy loving memories of this place with Shagun. He added, "Shagun never was my type...She hated such places...clubs, parties, discos were her ways of having fun...She was addicted to such a fast paced life...yeh sab usse boring lagtha tha...shaayad main bhi boring..."

However close friends they were, she was indeed surprised to hear him speak such personal things to her...now she could sense that he wanted to talk to someone...pour out to someone and lighten himself and she was all ears for that...always ready to do anything and everything for him.

Love indeed had made her crazy...it could do anything! She sighed as she heard him talk more about his wife who had ditched him mercilessly.

His words trailed off but she could hear his unvoiced words too. She was also hurt hearing how much shattered he was. She couldn't control herself. She walked closer to him and entwined her fingers within his as if to console him...No words could do that...so she chose that gesture to indicate that she was there and he wasn't alone! No matter what, she would stand by him to support him.

He didn't shrug her hand as she expected. He didn't take a moment longer but just tightened the grip on her fingers shocking her.

As if to give more meaning to that momentary emotions and feelings, the sky rained down...was it sad like him? Or were they happy tears seeing him in solace and peace? It looked like the skies and the angels from heaven were happy seeing him with her!

As an instinct, she tried to run to the car when the rain hardened on them but he didn't move a bit neither did he free her of his hold.

He pulled her towards the opposite direction which led to a rocky area...One rock led to another and he took lead and guided her.

They had to jump from a rock to the ground to reach a partly sheltered area...meaning sheltered by rocks...He jumped down first and then held out his hands to help her...

She didn't think twice before jumping in only to be caught by him...literally she was in his arms now.

His hands held her gently...she slid down to stand on the ground but still within his embrace...

Both were fully drenched by now...her white kurta was hugging her body and accentuating her features...Coincidently he was in his hottest shirt as well...a black shirt...both looked like straight out of a romantic movie.

Entwined in an embrace, eyes locked and their hearts touching each other while their heart beats raced and sang in a similar rhythm!

The intimate embrace and the touch on her wet body sure did something to him...it ignited the desire and passion which he believed was no more there in him.

A part of him which he thought was dead sprang to life in those moments...was it the rain, their circumstances, the privacy doing all these triggers? No, it wasn't...it was her...her presence...her beautiful face...her most desirable body...the closeness to her that was doing all that.

She snapped out of the dream like trance and broke away from his hold.

She walked a bit into the rocks and stood facing the opposite direction...Rain drops were still drizzling on them mercilessly but both didn't seem to mind it...or they were too preoccupied to get affected by that!

When she moved away, he felt a sense of loss...he wanted to touch her again...feel her body on his again...he walked to her and snaked his arms around her waist from behind pulling her to himself shaking her to the core!
