Please bear with me. I am writing this 5 mins after watching the episode, and have also been influenced by reading the live updates earlier. So my thoughts may sound confused. And I do have a bit of mixed feelings about this episode 😊
First and foremost, the episode was 'technically' superb. There was so much drama, but nothing was over the top. The acting was top-notch. So was the background music. Not the typical 'shocking' music they play whenever there is a revelation. The shock was on the character's faces. Nothing seemed forced. Hats off to the entire team!!! And the acting, WOW! Today's episode reinforced my faith and love for this serial. 👏
Completely unbiased opinion -
Raman went on listening to the whole story. He did not know whom to believe, which is quite natural. We often romanticise the relation between the lead characters in a show, but if it was a real-life situation, this (and may be worse) would have happened to Ishita. For once, I am glad they did not show Raman being weak for Ishita. I am glad he was equally worried for his sister and her family. I am glad he did not burn bridges with his sister, for someone who he had JUST met. Yes, Ishita has been shown to be a very good person, a very true and pure person. But, that is what he thought of Shagun. Shagun, someone he loved with all his heart, betrayed him for another man. He doesnt even share that kind of relation with Ishita. We think he should have trusted her, respected her. But why shouldn't he trust/respect Param and his sister's faith. Surely Simmi's faith in her marriage is far more than a shaky relationship he shares with Ishita.
About the comment he made about their relationship - I still cannot come to terms with it. No matter how much I try to justify it. I can only accept this if he blurted it out because he was out of control. He couldnt believe that Param knew. And if he knew, the only person who could have told him is Ishita. It was their secret, and theirs alone. If he was out of control and already so much confused, this would be a typical human reaction.
Simmi was the most natural character today. She was completely within her right to blame Ishita, call her names, even slap her. Again; Whether right or wrong, most of us would have done the same thing.
Coming to Ishita: She got the shock of her life today. The people she thought of as family were outrightly demeaning her, doubting her character. This would be a reality check episode for her. If she had any illusions about being a part of the family, this is when they would all shatter. Why should she have to go through this, ONLy for Ruhi. I wouldnt blame her if she just gives up on the Bhalla gang and leaves. Stop caring about them, stop caring about what they think of her.
Ishita should move out. If she does come back, again, it will be for Ruhi. But thats where her relations with the Bhalla family should stop. She has been insulted. She has been treated with utmost disrespect. No matter how convincing Param's story sounded, no one showed any faith in her. And for that, they should pay. The must suffer. The only one she could forgive is Simmi, because she was a victim too.
The wild-cards in this story... (now comes wishful thinking on my part )😆
There must be some significance to why Rinki wasnt there. I have always felt that her character was deliberately being 'subdued'. May be this is what they were saving her for?
Mihir - this is a pleasant surprise. The man Ishita hates, thinks of as spineless (we all do too) actually is the rational one here? Its good its him. BEcause he is probably the only person in the Bhalla family who isnt directly connected to this fiasco. Probably the only person who can see the goodness in Ishita, and remind Raman of it. We do need someone to talk to Raman. Try to see Ishita's point of view.
I have a feeling (and please let me be right), Raman started acting when he saw the texts. Before that, he was genuinely puzzled. But the text messages would actually convince him that Ishita couldnt be wrong. He may not love her, he may not trust her, he may not even care about her. But he knows she is smart. If she wanted to betray him, she wouldnt leave obvious clues. She did also say that her phone battery was low. Even he couldnt get in touch with her. Also, she wouldnt drag a third person (sarika). Dragging another person in your lie is very RISKY. Finally, if she had to cheat on him, she wouldnt do it so close to home. SHe may be Jhansi ki Rani, but she is NOT stupid. If he was acting, speaking out about their relationship was a shrewd move. Simmi had already read the text, and if someone later asked him; he wouldnt be able to lie anyway. But this was the only way he could make Param believe that he was on his side. BUT Yes, he would have to pay for this later. Ishita wouldnt forgive him for this.
*** If you have come so far, I would like to thank you for your patience in tolerating my random thoughts...🤗
