To defend Ishita , Raman and she don't have a love marraige or even a cordial arrange marraige . A bitter compromise marraige Ishita undertook to prove Raman as a child abuser and protect the child .
Besides , did she have any explanation for why she kept quiet for so many days . No .
Kools, I think she was gauging the situation and because she knew that if she just had a wrong intuition, this would be a serious allegation on her own brother in law. But also, since the dress hungama, Raman was not around. Not to mention, she did tell simmi and toshi asap, but they chose not to believe her.
She is taking Sarika's name but that woman is saying she is being coerced .
Is the expectation that inspite of a loveless marraige and a woman telling ulta things Raman should instinctively believe her . Such things happen in books , in reaity puzzled frustrated reactions occur .
I also think that in reality, especially in terms of such a complex marriage, it's not unusual to feel confused and frustrated first, instead of instinctively thinking my wife can't do this. What I find compelling is, that Parmeet has been accused of the same before. My problem is that, this hasn't somehow registered with these folks that a man can't be constantly accused of the same charge by different women. But I do understand that for Raman this was new, and hence he was still registering everything. But, I'd have much preferred he remained quiet and did his thinking instead of raising questions himself on ishita's character in front of his family. This isn't the first time he has humiliated her in front of others and hence I'm kind of not surprised at his behavior, just disappointed that people ship such a man so much, despite his basic lack of respect for people. Not just Ishita, but even the way he speaks to Mihika is really uncouth. And what he is doing with her life is another story all together.
Did not Ishita many times believe Shagun over RAMAN . Did she instinctively believe in his goodness .
I think Ishita doubted on him in the very beginning stages of their marriage. Since having understood him a little better, she has really begun treating him more like her own. I guess every one has their own pace at which they move in a relationship and Ishita has shown more maturity and understanding with Raman than vice versa. He has been very very harsh on her a lot many times and that is why I feel him not standing up AT ALL today was really not ok. But in line with his character.

Raman has experienced marraige , sex , kids , two timing , humiliation of suicide level [ his wife running away with his boss] , constant taunts on his manhood by Ashok who rubbed and rubbed it in for years , finanical upheavals , no happiness in matrimony , a bitter divorce ...in short Raman has seen it ALL .
Ishita married a burnt out man .
Now , compared to him , she has led a sheltered life . She was not married .[ Right ?] She hence experienced no two timing . Her parents and sisters r loving and they share a great bond . Looking at her simple traditional lifestyle she does not seem to be the type to sleep around . She faced 2 humiliations ...rejection in arranged marraige proposals and inability to have kids , the basic expectation of matrimony .
Raman has kids and also experienced losing them .
Ishita married an embittered burnt out man with full knowledge , rather naively , to 'protect' little Ruhi from a child abuser , who she thought Raman was . She had no idea that child abusers r as crafty as sexual predators like Parmeet . But she jumped in heroically to 'save' Ruhi .
Then she slowly began finding out that he was not so bad after all .
Bas , thats the stage their compromise marraige has reached right now . He and she r hesitantly finding out that the partner who married for compromise is not so bad .
The best thing of this stage is that they saw each other at their natural worst . They did not pretend . Ever .
Now , at this stage , it is expected that he instinctively believe her . Stand by her . Be a loyal pati . This . That .
Whereas , taken aback by the bomb that Ishita , his mom and his sister threw on him , he is behaving exactly as any man would do in this hesitant stage , turning it all over in his puzzled mind .
Neither does he have sex with her , nor romantic feelings for her , nor does he even share cordial relations with her . All he is doing is floundering with her and his puzzled shock is exactly an extension of that floundering .
Ishita may have doubted him in earlier stage as u said . But even she is in the just finding out stage and till recently she has chosen to misunderstand him over Mihir . Infact , Bala pointed it out to her that the Mihir issue is not really Raman's fault . It is totally an unresolved equation between Mihir and Mihika . Mihika has insulted and thrown Mihir out in front of Romi , danced with Romi in Holi party , not really believed him in the MMS case , in short given Mihir many mixed signals . Its I luv u Mihir once and I don't care Mihir other time . Yet , Mihika , Ishita and Mrs Iyer have behaved very coldly and unreasonably with Mihir and Trisha . If Mihir regards Raman as God , its for a reason , in the MMS case , not once did Raman even doubt that he did it . Whereas all these people who r making faces today did . But Ishita did not think that way , she simply felt Raman was being an egoistic god and forceful , its not like that at all , Bala opined objectively .
Had someone accused Raman this way , Ishita would have behaved exactly this way only . She would have thought , talked it over with Bala , tossed and turned .
Had someone accused Bala she would have done the same .
Raman has humiliated her sometimes but today he did not . In fact she invited this humiliation with her thoughtless bravado .
She decided not to tell him individually
she knew exactly what the reaction of Toshiji and Simmi would be still she wanted to drop a bomb on the family
she refused to listen when Sarika protested and said she did not want to be part of this and dragged her to police station , one must at least be sure of the back up
she accused without a single shred of proof , why the hell would they believe her word over a damad they knew longer .
Ishita handled it all wrong .
Now , i have hopes . Mr Bhalla glanced angrily at Parmeet and Rinki has seen him in Ishita's room . Trisha who was walking Muthu has seen her fleeing at the appointed hour . And Raman who would have fired her if he was the old Raman actually turned all this over in his mind . The old Raman would have not hesitated a moment to fire her , this one who finds her not that bad is actually thinking over it . And i like it .
