@bold - TRUE... in his need to beat his drum he didn't think things through completely else, he would have not gone ahead and asked her to sew the button while he keeps the shirt on, 😆 he would have gladly taken it off and sewed it himself or given it to her had his mind been able to catch up on the repercussions of his demand 😉 and somehow thank god he didnt think man... I was beginning to worry about Ishita 🤣 🤣 think what will happen to my sweet Ishu, her hubby is behaving a lot more stringent than Rishi Vishwamitra 🤣 and I dont think Ishu would have been ready to do a Maneka yet 😉 😆

@red - exactly, in her mind she has accepted this marriage, notice how she was surprised and embarrassed when he made the 360 degree comment 😆 but she dint reprimand him... if at all or say a word about how it was wrong of him or anything in fact, just minutes ago she had twirled for him 🤣

@green - yep he did 😳 I loved how he was in this relaxed posture when he was on the phone with Ishu asking her about what is she doing and what went on today - he hadn't heard her voice since he landed in Mumbai but now that he did... he wanted to lengthen the conversation with mundane talks to keep her going... like you said the old Raman would have hung up the moment he knew Ruhi was okay not this one 😳 and tomm he would pick up that she is disturbed so yep RKB you are wayy too deep already you wont know until you have submerged 😛

If Pervert could have dropped off the face of earth for just two more days, then Ishu would have become a maneka for RKB. I tell you this girl can (& hopefully will 😉) go naughty. Bechare Raman ki jaan nikal jayegi 😆. If this crappy track hadn't begun, Ishu would've definitely loved that Raman bought the extra dress in his favourite color and would have worn it for him *courtesy our tiny cupid*.
She would have knocked Raman flat in the blue dress 😆

Now the dress would go into the Daily soap blackhole where all that the CV's can't/won't/refuse/don't bother to remember goes *sigh*

On a side note I want Ishu to refuse to come back to Bhalla house & Raman n Ruhi move in with the Iyer's to pataofy her ... Now that would be fun 👏

Oh and I want to hit Simmy... NOW😡

Honestly each and every day I am getting more and more surprised by YHM, in a good way credit completely to Sonali mam, the fab writer of the show I hope she sticks with this one till its last epi... new writers mess up the flow of the story and the dimensions of characters in my opinion.

So getting on with my topic - I am so amazed by Raman as a character. He is my muse whenever I write something in terms of an FF for this show - his head is a mess and therein lies his appeal to me 😆 Okay so I like convoluted characters a lot. Guilty as charged 😳

Like I said in the beginning this post is my POV on the dress scene... now in the hilarity that we witnessed I missed this myself the first time around... even the second and the third - but finally on my fourth or fifth round at this scene I suddenly started to have a different approach for it.

We have seen how Raman was obviously so affected by Ishita' makeover not only did he shut up the moment he turned around to answer her... his knees kinda went weak too 😆 he had to sit down, thank goodness for that TV unit else the guy would have landed on the floor for sure...but moving on

The thing that triggered my need to make this post were mostly two moments - Raman biting that file - which of course has a lot of interpretations 😆 but mostly... to my twisted mind was - him still not being able to absorb this fact that Ishita could prove him wrong, and Raman if anything is someone who now loathes to take back his words... bite his tongue so to speak.

So of course, fate intervenes or should I say writers here and he soon has a way to get back at Ishita.

He simply cannot accept that what he knows is wrong... especially when he has been secretly giving so much attention to her, observing her... yes he may not know her completely as of yet but he has begun doing so - as a person, as a woman. Thanks to our little cupid Ruhi who intervenes time and again - he has even begun to know the little things about her - favorite color, favorite ice cream flavor and the list would def grow with time ...

The control freak that he has become post Shagun just cannot accept things to go any other way but as per him - for him its my way or the highway and for him to be proven wrong in a matter which in hindsight is trivial but deep down is his firm belief that he has begun knowing Ishita was a blow to him.

And once he was satisfied with his findings, had the result he needed by making Ishita bite back her words... tease and annoy her 😆 he finally had that peace... that wow, so I was right feeling which finally, finally makes him let his guard down, as his expression changes when Ishita is sewing on that button on his shirt - he was finally able to let go off that mask he always has on... which is the second moment that served as the inspiration of this post.

He finally let himself look at her now that he had that I was right confirmation... really look at her and accept he has a beautiful wife... a woman who is just as beautiful on the outside as is she on the inside.

As we have already seen in the second epi of the show, post Shagun Raman' transformation was not just in his monetary status or his looks but his thinking as well.

He had women throwing themselves at him because they found him attractive - but mostly for his money... which even made him insult Ishita and her family a lot previously by labeling them as gold-diggers. A fact that Ishita threw in his face before their marriage was fixed during Ruhi' custody trial when she landed up in his office as he got Subu' mom to go to that lady judge to try and brainwash her about Ishita. She let him know all the women dying to marry him just want his money and nothing else.

To hear a fact which he always knew but couldn't accept made him want to insult her then... but post his marriage to Ishita he has been humbled into accepting that not all women are like that.

Ishita has never asked a single thing of him and not because she is independent but because she has no interest in his money... in his fortunes, rather what matters to her the most is Ruhi... and now his family, which is slowly and steadily even extending to him. Her saving him in that land deal has made him realize that this woman, someone he loathed has always and forever been someone who helped him out - even when he didn't ask it off her.

The speech in Tamil- his thank you for the world to hear was his acknowledgement and humble acceptance of his prior wrongdoings. His way of apologizing to a woman who he knows he has publicly shamed a lot prior to their marriage.

His way to admit - that yes, I misjudged her when I did those things in the past - now I know what an amazing woman she is - a perfect mother, wife, daughter, daughter-in-law and a successful professional. Someone I am lucky enough to have in my life.

It was his acceptance of Ishita as a beautiful human being, someone he has begun respecting.

Now slowly with that acceptance - with him getting to know her for the person she is and realizing his mistakes... he allows himself to look at her as a woman too... a beautiful woman who he is getting attracted to.

I really am loving the approach of the writers here with IshRa' story, especially Raman' angle.

For a man who once was fooled by a woman he fell madly in love with because of her looks, only to be later cheated on by her, he became wary of all and any beautiful women, and with him encountering more women like Shagun, that belief just got firmer and his faith stronger.

But Ishita turned the tables so completely on him - his attraction for her began as a person first- the mother of his child, the perfect bahu of his family and finally he is allowing himself to be attracted to the woman who also is his wife.

Her beauty is the last thing that he is allowing himself to acknowledge.

He was visibly affected by Ishita' proximity which wouldn't allow him to look at her for long ... but also forced him to look away, especially the moment he turns his head around when Ishita had to lean in... especially the second time around when he could stand it no more - which made him take refuge in their comfort zone - taunts and bickering. this thing - a button scene is such a old Hindi film cliche but the layers somehow just added to its charm to me. They amaze me.

Prior to this scene, where he admitted casually to having checked his wife out numerous times... Raman would have eaten dirt than admit he does so, but here he not only did it, he gloated about it..

In a successful marriage, sex, physical attraction do play an integral role... but that is not all what a marriage is all about, its about being with a person with whom you would love to be with outside the confines of your room too.

Ishita already has become the person to Raman, who he can proudly call his wife for the world to know. He doesn't waste a moment now, any chance he gets to bring her up in his conversations. Now he is merely allowing himself to be with the woman he is gonna spend the rest of his life with and admit, yes she affects him - on all the levels that matter in a marriage - all the platforms that make you want to be with a person - their qualities as a human being and the physical attraction you obviously feel for them.

IF this post makes no sense, I am deeply sorry but I just had to say this. 😳

uff what a post ek ek line sona . Kuch kehney ke liye nahi bacha except 👏

Wow, wonderful post, it's so great to see such a well thought out analysis. You have no idea how long I have waited for a good hindi serial that portrays love story's well. I'll be the first one to admit I used love watching those chocolatey hot and heavy youth oriented love stories. I'm sure you know which shows, until one day I got tired of it, I got tired of the constant angry man which are always portrayed much the same, I got tired of the horrible amount of man handling/ abuse and blatant invasion of a women's Personal space, it wasn't romantic but that's how they intended to show it,as hot romance, like that's the only way to make the couple realize their love or give them ehsaas. Don't get me started on like what you, serendipity and Rogers have said, about the whole eye locks, trip and fall, dupatta a scenes happening when the couples aren't even in love, happening every 5 seconds, it just takes me out of it now, and like you guys have said, it such a shallow basis for love to start from, it's boring and it happens so fast and it doesn't have substance.

Now getting back, YHM is nothing like that, they've been together for 5 months and no love has happened but you know what has happened great character development at a gradual pace that makes sense, how Ishu and Raman have changed, how they've changed in the way they act with one another, towards each other. Because like you said and like one of the commentators have said these two have experienced love before and it broke them and damaged them, and this process doesn't happen with trips and falls scene but through time. It's a long process especially for damaged souls, I love the fact they are slowly understanding each other, accepting each other, becoming used to each other, valuing personality then beauty even though they themselves don't realize that.

I love seeing the small details of their journey. It makes the love story so raw and real as if you are standing right next to them going through this journey with them, it gives it such rich substance and more interesting to watch. I have to hand it to the crew and cvs for such a well exucuted story and development as well as the tracks. The consistencies of the tracks and how they don't appear out of no where in each episode, it's all set up before hand and it makes sense. One thing I don't lke anymore is seeing hot romance when the two people haven't fallen in love, it just seems like it's done for shock value and the hotness, what I loved about the phone convo is it bring a whole other level of intimacy, and I love seeing that, I would take that any day, cause one thing this show knows how to do is show intimacy in different way and it's beautiful and comforting and makes our heart race and calm down,

Also karan and divyakya are amazing, the different nuances and mannerism they bring to the character makes this show for me, it's so natural and raw and feels so good to whatch them, it doesn't feel wooden or cringy. Also also karans improv, gotta love him, they are so subtle and they bring another layer to the romance scenes.

Phew that's pretty long, but your post brought out my utter love for this show, it's so unique in the way it handle it's characters and love. And you know one thing, the Ehsaas track seemed to have started way back and it's an long ongoing track under all the chaos, Ehsaas can't happen so fast, over one night or one fall. And that's what I love about this show as well. Wonderful post

Totally loved your analysis. The whole way they are taking the show is awesome. Its not like dupatta fell on hero's face and he got attracted or just because she dressed up and the hero got his heads turned. Or she started doing good deeds and he fell in love.

Raman is a man with a lot of baggage. From many flashback scenes, it's shown that he was a simple human being who was happy with simple things and was ready to work hard. He believed in goodness and easily trusted people and was loyal to the core. But he was left in mid way by his wife whom he loved and trusted the most. She publicly humiliated and made a mockery of goodness and his love and his family. Later when he succeeded financially in his life, he met more Shsguns who were ready to become his mistress or anything just like his ex-wife is. So he had stopped believing in human relationships, especially with women. He was not giving time even for his mother or sisters.

Ishita came into his life with a bang and though he has seen her goodness, he was not ready to trust her because that has become a part of his nature, post Shagun. And also like any other human being, sorry, man, he hated her lectures and ''I know it all''s. Even my husband, when sometimes happen to watch the serial, asks me "don't she have any other job than giving lecture to him. why can't she mind her own business"

when Ishita came into his life and household to be become a mother to Ruhi, then slowly he started understanding her, what she is. That she doesn't don any masks. she is what you see and doesn't care what others think or not think about her. She is a person who calls spade, 'spade', be it her family or anyone.

Actually this understanding unravel the baggage within Raman, and is becoming balm to his wounds. After he makes Ishita say sorry to Adi, Ruhi wss angry and a hatred had started to bud in her, which he saw Ishita was budding at the nip, even when she herself was not ready to forgive him. He saw her doing that even when she herself didn't trust him, just because she didn't Ruhi to grow with hatred in her heart. There he saw the difference between Shagun and Ishita. This brings him down and slowly gives him the courage to change, for the better.

The healing is making him to lower his walls, and start take notice of his surroundings. And Ishita is a part of what he is slowly building his life into. That makes him call her his Superwoman, his Jhansi ki Rani.

It will take a lot from Ishita to heal him, because when the wounds start to heal there is an itching which makes you irritated, and he will be giving all this to her only.

oh I have written too much. Sorry! ;-)

Wow!
That was amazing and there's nothing left to add to it that hasn't been written in all the pages😆

Except for the scenes involving Parmeet, the last two episodes have been wonderful. I can't get enough of it.
The scenes were brilliant.
I always cribbed about how some incidents weren't dwelt upon but they have showed the progress in relationship really well. The easy banter, the ribbing, even the apparent hatred shows that there's a bond beyond what we see.
Also, for the second time probably, we could see that Raman is elder to Ishita not only in terms of age but also experience.

I agree with each and every word you wrote in your post. Loved how you portray each and every aspect from Raman's point of view. I was kind of depressed after reading all these articles about upcoming track but your post made me think that there is always light at the end of the tunnel.
I really hope that Raman holds on to that feeling, that respect he has for Ishita now. It's a long shot but I really hope that his love emerges the way that it gives him courage to get out of that "web of relationships" and stand by his wife.
