Gosh! You just win me over EACH TIME with your wonderful posts, your amazing Fics... and your overall perspective into each aspect of the show, which obviously reflects in your writing.

Reens 🤗 aww thank you, this makes me sound so wise😎 and beyond my years and makes me feel like a grandma at the same time 🥺🤣🤣 but thank you, its so nice to know I write things that people can relate to 😳

THIS, is one wonderful post, and it was again one of those very few times when i cursed IF for not having the extreme reaction option to posts... LOVE or HATE/DISLIKE. This definitely made me curse IF for not having the "LOVE-THIS-POST-LIKE-RAMAN-LOVES-TEASING-HIS-WIFE" button 😔 sad life.

Aww that is so cute and @bold - 🤣🤣 I wish each show had a personalized button of this sort on IF but like you said sad life 😭😆

Khair, i dont think i can reply to each aspect of this post, even though as i read through, i had talked to myself about it, added stuff, i have an exam tomorrow. final. So im EXTREMELY low on time, but this, Aani, was one wonderful wonderful post! <3

Best of luck for the exams girl 👍🏼 and thank you so much for making a reply despite the hectic schedule thats sweet of ya 🤗 and I know you would rock the papers 😃

^ Gosh Aani! this line won me over! PERFECT PERFECT PERFECT! Exactly! TRUE LOVE... as i always emphasize... a couple of months ago i guess, when people were so disappointed on WHY were not they moving IshRa's story forward.. why was there no 'ehsaas' in their relationship yet, HOW is it that the live together and still have no attraction... I had made a post, saying the same, that im GLAD that they arent showing the typical cliche stuff then... Eye-locks, accidental trips, hero saving the heroine, long stares, accidental hugs... it WILL happen... it STILL will, but all that happening NOW would make sense... THIS... is reality. Im so glad none of them fell for each others external/outer beauty... theyre falling for the person they are. Raman, i can now say, knows Ishita... maybe not completely... but to a great extent. He likes her as Ruhi's mother a person, then as a doting Bahu, then... now... as his Wife. He is not getting used to her, in my opinion, he is ALREADY used to her. I LOVE LOVE LOVE how real their story is... how REAL their LOVE is... i dont remember aisa kuch being shown in ANY OTHER INDIAN SERIAL. Genuinely!

Exactly, falling in love - true love is not akin to ordering a instacoffee man- press the button and there you have it, its a much longer, slower, tedious process than that and I blame the shows that have influenced people into thinking that love is all about flying duppattas, eyelocks, fall moments and random stuff like that. ITS NOT!!and like you said, IshRa are being shown in such a realistic manner here, that there is this amazing sense of wonder that comes when we think of them, especially their journey... I am so so happy to have found this show when I did, else I would have missed out on something truly amazing and not to mention never met friends like you too 🤗

The next best thing:

YO AANI! 🤗 :D
Its like you say EXACTLY the words in my head/heart... just in a much nicer, intriguing way! TOTALLY! I also noticed, that yesterday, when he was talking to that man... whoever he was, who finalised the deal along with Mrs Smith, when he asked him about having it 'dry' and not having alcohol, instead having juice, Raman hadnt even seen Shagun. He didnt even know she was there and he had still said about Men having to do things for their biwis and bacche. And that they cant avoid it, how important the BIWI and the bacche are. It was only later that Shagun came, and heard him bragging about being his wife's nicey nicey husband 😳 😆

Reens, you are really, really inflating my ego here okay girl 😆 your posts are amazing too, and deserve all the credit they can get 😃 and Yep, I loved how they had that moment, that showed Raman has accepted Ishita so completely too, before this on holi he was cool about using Ishita to make Shagun jealous, said the words he did on that day just to get a rise out of her, but here it was genuine, real and not for any display... in fact I loved how he caustically replied when Shagun intervened and told her his choices have changed, now he cant do without the things he once hated the mere sight off and would rather not look at things he once liked 😎 way to go RKB

Later, when he was having that phone conversation with Ishita, OH HOW MUCH did i want to see them being NORMAL... no teasing, no masti, no fun and NO GHUSSA! Normal HUSBAND-WIFE & i loved that! To add to the fact, he didnt even care about Shagun, he didnt even bother, he didnt actually realise that Shagun was right there in that room... he didnt flaunt off his "BIWI" to her... i LOVED that... he genuinely asked her "aur batao, kya karrahi ho" < IT WAS SOO SWEET, SO Genuine, so husband-wifey... i mean i know it was just a simple mere question, but it did have so much meaning, coming from RAMAN! Ishita's khushi, the sigh of relief after listening to Raman's voice... Ishita was elated & relieved as soon as she saw Raman's call... even though they dont even visibly share that relationship! They dont even realize that the other is already a support system for them. Waise toh they dont confide in each other visibly, but in actual they do... UNCONSCIOUSLY bhi, the baat that was eating Raman about Ruhi not being his daughter, he then also only spit it out in front of Ishita... at an unconscious state too!

IshRa are just magnificent. I cannot wait to see this emotional connect in this track... however i dont think the phone convo will have anything more... it'll just be like Ishu wont say nothing, she'd be like everythings fine and he'd sense something but wont say, only so later he could Ask Mihir to check if everything was well...

RAMAN IS LOVEEE ❤️ < his character, the actor... SAB! ❤️

and i know... i said it wouldnt be long 😳
SOWIEE. ☺️

No need for sowwiees 😆 and I loved the call too and mostly because of the way he was getting in this comfortable stance you know, having a cuppa, chilling out. It was REAL like you said, like he was trying to be with her while being away and the voice modulation that Karan had in this scene it was so so sweet... so caring like he felt he was coming home... or at home because he could hear her voice ☺️ I so cant wait for the rest of this scene and for him to talk some more to her and later call Mihir up to checkup on her, because he felt that something is wrong 😳 Shagun would BURN baby 😈 and that would be not because he planned for it, but because it would be all so real

Love ya and best of luck once again Reens 🤗

Thanks for the reply 😊

@bold - you my friend are someone who shares my taste in this regard - I hate stories that have no real substance in them, the only reason two people fall in LOWE is because she keeps falling and he keeps catching her 🤪

@red - yep the past few weeks have really surpassed our expectations and I love, LOVE how the much awaited Ehsaas they teased us with didnt occur due to some moment of intimacy they unwittingly shared, but genuine care and concern.I am bowled over completely really.

@red - YEP, I second you... there are moments of his nuances I really like a lot and as much as I loathe Pervmeet, Anurag is doing an amazing job. Honestly in the current crop of shows YHM has the best ensemble. 😃

I agree with you. The writers are doing a wonderful job. Their simple, realistic and subtle approach is heart winning. Frankly, after yesterday's phone scene, I am speechless. I haven't read the spoilers and I don't intend to. I have decided after the phone scene, that come what may next week, I am not going to worry because I have seen the titles of various posts where the worry for Ishita is clear.
Coming to yesterday's episode, it was beautiful how they have missed each other. That small moment between a husband and wife was heart touching. I forgot the rest of the episode because of that scene. The scene also portrayed how, after marriage, a husband becomes everything for a wife. She looks in him for a friend, a confidante and all the other relations she has left to start a new life with him.
Karan Patel and Divyanka Tripathy, hats off!

Hey Aani, great post. We love your Muse too.😃 Arre yaar , jab RKB aur pyaar ki baat ho, to sense ka kya kaam?!

Hey Sneha😆

I too loved the intimacy of phone conversation. The parts that caught my attention were "Aur Bataao, Kar Rahi Ho" and "Ghar Pe Kucch Naya Hua" and that he noticed her silences after the second.

The first, he actually asked about her personally; the second, that it again acknowledges that she looks after his house and that they together look after their house; the third that he listens to her silences too..

...and none of it was because Shagun was sitting there.

Aani, wasn't it interesting that he insisted that if She Wanted to sew on the button than she had to do it while he kept it on. I mean logically there was no reason for it.

While, the eating of the file folder consciously symbolized the eating of his words (instead of the dirt he would rather have eaten 😉), subconsciously it symbolized him eating the countless times he had dismissed her only as Ruhi's mom or doing things sirf Ruhi Ke Liye and of dismissing he beauty.

Wow I loved your post. 👏
I have nothing to add I mean you have described the dress scene so well!
And about the stitching button scene, I had the same feeling. Raman was so affected by her for the first time!
And the phone convo, I loved it! I have watched the last part so many times. It was so different! I am loving this change in Raman. And yeah Raman will change more & more in the upcoming episodes. After all Kabhi kam na hogi yeh chahatein, pal pal bade yeh hai mohabbatein! 😳

What a beautiful sunday post. I seldom read things that are so long, but this one held my attention --the writing is very concise and the essay on Raman's slow recognition in process of what Ishita means to him is wonderfully done. I too liked the button scene. Like you say, it was totally retro, taken right off a Hindi film from the 70s, but it suited the situation to a T. This is because Raman himself is rather retro when it comes to views on life, men and women. In this regard, he resembles the macho but untrusting hero of the seventies, who has lost faith in humanity. The button scene also worked because of the interesting juxtaposition of the modernly dressed Ishitia performing an extremely traditional and housewifely task. These are the reasons why the scene was so nuanced.
The button scene also foreshadows the plot of next week. What comes next week, where retro views about women will be aired freely by Raman's family, and Raman himself will turn retro, choosing to be silent when his words matter the most.

Hey Sneha!😃
You pointed out the main thing. It was like Raman forgot where he was. He doesn't remember Shagun is sitting right in front and Adi is sleeping beside him. Yet, not a bit of consciousness. As if he was the only person in the room. The way he started the phone conversation itself was unexpected. So normal! It was like a husband, tired after his office work, was sitting down to have small talk with his wife and forget the tensions of the day. To relax because he finds peace in her company.
Did you notice how he puffed up his chest when he said that she had to sew while his shirt was on him? 😆
That unfolding of his forehead while she was busy sewing the button! It was just too good.

By now.. You must get tired of hearing what a fab post you made. But... I will have to repeat this once more 😊 what a fabulous fantastic post!
Someone else pointed out already that its like you are in our heads. Only difference is that you have the gift to express and translate this into words so well.

I know all points have been discussed extensively but I would like to add this, to highlight Ishita's side (and to be part of your super nice post 😉):

Ishita wants to keep Ruhi happy and show Raman is wrong. In their cat and mouse game, which also Ishita is grown into, she is very determined to prove him wrong. No woman wants to hear that she is 'fat'. Of course she is doing this for her baby... But I think this time her desire to prove Raman wrong was bigger than to please Ruhi. Unknowingly, she wants to impress Raman too.
Twirling around in front of Raman (high heels automatically will make you walk differently) was for her only to show of the fact that she did fit into that dress. But... The way she looks in the mirror.. Like she could also not believe how good she looked and the sad fact that Raman would not see this. Even Simmi and Toshiji commented on this.

When Raman finally does see Ishita in the dress, he is amazed.. He is amazed about how beautiful she looks and how she did get into that dress. After all... How could he be wrong? He might have bought clothes for Shagun as well. (And it so happens that Shagun is smaller built.) Ishita enjoys the fact that Raman is speechless for a change. She does not realize he is also checking her out at the same time.

The button scene. Raman likes it when Ishita is thrown of balance by him. I think he wanted to shock her. I could see some hesitation with Ishita but she still went along with it.
I think both were not prepared of the attraction, being so close. 360 angle comment does bother her. She says you are looking at all of that??? What bothers her most is that Raman finds her 'moti'. For the first time I could see Ishita caring for her looks. 😊

After the incident with Parmeet, she does not feel save in her own room anymore. After the wedding, this was her new room (even after Raman made it clear it his room). She felt save there. Raman was there with her every night and he did not touch her or force himself on her.
The first night he is away this happens. She knows Raman has turned into a bitter man but he is a decent man. In the end, I think Raman will set Parmeet straight like he has done with Shagun and Adi in school scene. Raman will know Ishita would not accuse Parmeet without reason. Not after all Ishita has done. He even took his wifey's advise and offered Parmeet a job.

The reason why I like YHM is the storyline, the characters and the fact that a lot of taboos (in India or Indian cultures) are being discussed. I.e. a woman's worth, intercaste relationships, physical abuse, man-woman work status etc. It is like society's mirror. Hopefully, everyone (older generations) can see the lessons there aside the unique love story.

Wonderfully written post. You've taken the time to compose all these thoughts and have done so, beautifully!!!

I have a feeling (or maybe just hope) that the CVs will use this building understanding/love/care/respect as the basis of Raman's handling of the pervmeet episode. That would really integrate these different aspects together and give Ishra a firm foundation to start a new relationship on.
