She should speak hindi or tamil ( one with accent and other one should be natural. ) both with bad accent come on...

When they can find a punjabi actress to do a punjabi mother, they should find a tamil actress to do the tamil mother...

Hey Vell, my feelings exactly. I don't even understand a single tamil word she says. I wished they had a tamilian actress she would have looked much elegant and spoke the dialogues more naturally.

My problem is with Ishita mom.Better she speak in Hindi .Because she is killing Tamil language .Her pronunciation is not good .Some time I wonder what Tamil word she spoke.

Agreed Ishita's mom is killing Tamil, it's better she's speaks is hindi otherwise it looks odd!
I am also a tamilian and at times i don't understand what she speaks!

Why is that tamilians are always stereotyped in a comic way? Divyanka does not look tamilian. Her mother seems as if she mocks South Indians. Her language and accent is hideous! Nothing like tamil in real but more of mocking?

I totally blame the execution of the script. I find a lack of adequate research on tamil language, culture, dressing and proper implementation. Whoever on the creative team, are totally unprofessionals!

Hi all, even I am a tamilian only and I somehow feel like they are not actually mocking tamil culture in the show. Ya but at the same time I too have an opinion that when they are potraying 2 very different and very peculiar cultures(tamil and punjabi culture) it would be better if the creatives project them still in a better way and if they are more accurate and more specific to avoid any sort of errors here and there.

It is not mocking but ignorance and laziness to research on the culture which is entirely CVs fault. Ekta mata doesn't pay them enough & hence they do half @ssded attempt and end up mocking it 🤔

agar kuch exaggerate n stereotyped hai..toh at least make it genuine and the right way is all that i am asking too.They are getting some of th stuff ok.but some are OTT😕

Religion has nothing to do with culture. So saying that she is a Muslim and acts well as a Punjabi makes no sense whatsoever. For example, I am a Muslim Pakistani and my mother tongue is Punjabi.

why people bother to watch Ekta show n comment daily if ekta shows are so bad 🤣 just ignore her show n watch d other great ones yaar 😉 personally i dont find the other makers did great research on ny culture shown either . 😆 it should make fir general entertainment bas its not for writing a thesis on Tamil culture 😛

No offense to anyone. I am not a tamilian but married to one 😊. Please take the show lightly. I dont see any mocking here. I love both Iyers n Bhallas.. May be sentiments of some are hurt but I am sure that neither the creatives or actors are doing anything intentionally and as for the character portrayed by Mrs. Iyer goes it is done by a well known superb Maharashtrian actress Neena Kulkarni who is immensely talented...
