Abir Goswami did not get his due

'Gangs of Wasseypur Part 2' fame Vineet Singh, who played one of the suspects in Anurag Kashyap's 'Ugly', misses his co-star Abir Goswami, who played a cop in the film.

"We had a lot of scenes together. We have spent many days and nights chatting together asAnurag wanted all his actors on the sets all the time. We — Rahul Bhatt, Abir, Ronit Roy,Anurag Kashyap and me — even used to share our food. Abir would never have tea without me. So it's even difficult for me to talk about him because baat karte hi uski tasveer ankhon ke samne aa jati hai aur mai aapne ansu rok nahi pata hoon. As is very common in the industry, Abir did not get his due," said Vineet.

As soon as Vineet heard the news of Abir's death, he rushed from the sets of Karan Johar's 'Gori Tere Pyar Mein', where he was shooting, to receive his body. "Then I again had to go back to shoot for a song, post which we went to the crematorium. I can't ever forget how his wife was looking at his lifeless body. Abir had earlier requested Anurag that he be allowed to get his wife to the premiere of Ugly in which only the cast and crew were allowed. He said he wanted to see his first film after marriage with his wife. It's tough to see a jovial, fun-loving guy go like this. Uske mom dad pe kya beeti hogi..."

A condolence meet is being held in Mumbai on June 4 for the talented actor who was seen in Kkusum and Pyar Ka Dard.
